Abstract

The tremendous number of internet usage in Indonesia does not only present positive impacts but also negative implications, particularly for women. Many of them experience difficulties related to digital security, not only for themselves but also for their children. Therefore, a digital literacy program targeting housewives, particularly members of the HEPI Bandung community, is critical. This program was conducted on 21 June 2023 by focusing on literacy to empower the participants to shop online wisely and control children in accessing digital media products effectively. This program has two stages. Number one is knowledge sharing aims at awareness improvements and a two-way sharing session to build knowledge and appropriate solutions. The program evaluation showed that literacy activities witnessed benefits for the participants to be wiser in using the internet. Hopefully, this program can be conducted sustainably in the future program.

Abstract

New media usage, particularly network-based media using mobile platforms, has become a big issue in the community. Various issues arise related to the presence of information technology and its intersection with daily activities and other social environments. There has yet to be a corresponding growth in people's awareness of online ethics in Indonesia with the surge in internet use. Housewives, in particular, frequently do sharenting and oversharing on the internet. Awareness of the risks associated with online flaming and cyberbullying is also essential. Thus, it is crucial to successfully promote digital literacy among housewives in the HEPI Bandung community to raise awareness of online ethics. It is also critical to comprehend the technical facets of branding for both personal and professional purposes. This program seeks to educate participants about digital literacy and digital content creation workshops to assist them in avoiding adverse outcomes down the road, particularly for housewives. This activity had two phases: material distribution (including a workshop) and sharing sessions. Increasing the participants' knowledge is the purpose of the content delivery. The two-way sharing session aims to broaden participants' knowledge and answer their problems appropriately. Evaluate the activities by sending out feedback surveys. The evaluation's conclusions show how successfully literacy-related activities have addressed participants' needs. Increasing digital literacy is a positive thing, mainly as we use digital media to become a better-informed society. Furthermore, the participants hope that such literacy exercises continue in parallel to evaluate and improve the understanding that has been established collectively.

Abstract

The rapid growth of communication and news technology at this time certainly has a major impact on all areas of life. Online media in Indonesia, this development has succeeded in combining several media platforms. Podcasts is an on-demand service, which means listeners can select, loop, and skip content which want to they hear. The purpose of this research is to get information and To do analysis about influence communication in Rintik podcast sad to behavior k- poppers. This research includes causal associative research with quantitative descriptive approach. The sample in this study has criteria, including male or female, aged 17-25 years, listening to the Rintik Sedu podcast and a K-poper so that 100 respondents were obtained. The analysis used multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the Rintik Sedu podcast has a positive and significant influence on celebrity worship. This is because podcasts have a more efficient one-time production rate, podcasts must be able to upload at least daily, weekly or monthly to keep listeners loyal, podcasts can have a good impact because listeners can directly download podcasts they want to hear and podcasts that can be listened to. anywhere and anytime has succeeded in captivating the listener's desire because it can be listened to at will wherever and whenever.

Abstract

Background: Despite the rise of the gig economy, the mental health of Indonesia’s gig workers has received little attention. To cope with work-related stress and a limited interaction between drivers and app firms, many ride-hailing drivers have formed shared experience-based communities, such as Indriver Bandung Bersatu (IBB). Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the perspectives and motives of five drivers in a natural setting, with an emphasis on their lived experiences and interpretations of stress coping mechanisms. Method: To better understand how drivers deal with mental health difficulties at work, a qualitative phenomenological approach was applied. From November to December 2022, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations. Triangulation and member checking confirmed data validity. Result: Although ride-hailing employment have several advantages, drivers are stressed because of monopolistic policies, fluctuating pay, negative customer behavior, and rapid system modifications. To cope, people rely on personal strength and mutual support from a community that shares experiences and alleviates emotional pressures. Conclusion: Capitalist structures, aided by uneven and unfriendly policies, disadvantaged drivers. Mutual-aid communities, on the other hand, enable them to support one another and work together to find common answers. Implications: Facing shared workplace issues together, sharing experiences, and developing peer-based support all promote motivation and self-determination, allowing drivers to become more resilient.

Abstract

The diversity of ecosystems in Indonesia is very diverse. However, Indonesia is also experiencing a decline inbiodiversity (plants and animals), including owls. Hunting and trade of owls is one of the factors in the decline ofowl populations. In addition, understanding about owls is also still minimal. Of course, with the development oftechnology today, the dissemination of information can be done through social media. One of the social media thathas content containing information and education about owls is the @sibur.han account. The purpose of this studyis to analyze the social media content of Instagram @sibur.han as a medium for disseminating education andinformation about owls based on the 4 Pillars of Social Media Content Strategy theory, namely communication,collaboration, education, and entertainment. The method used in this research is qualitative content analysis. Basedon these 4 pillars, the @sibur.han account has covered the pillars of communication, education, and entertainment.However, uploads on the collaboration pillar are still minimal. Suggestions for further research, it is recommendedto use the interview method to further strengthen the data to be taken. Abstract

This research is taken from the phenomenon that Generation Z is in a transition phase, when parents still want tohave authority over their children, while children grow up wanting their own autonomy. All these changes affect thechild's self-worth and mood which has an impact on the interaction process with the family. Meanwhile, the familyhas an important role in forming values and norms in children. Then the indication of the problem found is thatGeneration Z has the characteristic of being lazy about learning because of digital distractions. This research aimsto find out whether there is an influence of family communication on the learning motivation of Generation Z studentsat Telkom University. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting 400 respondents from active studentsfrom the 2020 - 2023 class at Telkom University using an online questionnaire (google form). After carrying outcalculations, it was found that there was a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the familycommunication hypothesis test, conversation orientation, t count 11,439 > t table 1,965. It can be concluded that H1is accepted and H0 is rejected, so there is a positive influence of conversation orientation patterns on the learningmotivation of Generation Z students at Telkom University. The conformity orientation communication patternobtained the hypothesis test results t count 11.507 > t table 1.965. So, it is concluded that H2 is accepted that there isan influence on conformity orientation family communication on the learning motivation of Generation Z students.From the percentage results calculated on the coefficient of determination, family communication influences thelearning motivation of Generation Z students at Telkom University by 47.3% while the remaining 52, 7% is influencedby other variables not included in this study. Abstract

Family communication between parents and children with cancer is quite different when compared to communicationthat occurs between parents and children who do not have cancer in general, because the presence of cancer inchildren not only brings physical pain, but also brings deep emotional trauma. The purpose of this research is to findout how the role of family communication in building motivation in children with cancer. The main theory of thisresearch uses Family Communication Patterns Theory from Koerner and Fitzpatrick 2002. The method in thisresearch is qualitative by collecting primary data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The keyinformants in this research are parents who have children with cancer. The research location took place at AmbuCancer Fighters House, which is located at Jalan Bijaksana Dalam Number 11, Bandung City, West Java. The resultsshowed that open, supportive, intensive and unrestricted family communication, as well as the application of abalanced conformation orientation played an important role in building the motivation of children with cancer. Thetypes of family communication encountered, namely consensual, pluralistic, and protective, can provide a supportiveenvironment to develop positive motivation for children with cancer, where children can remain energized,empowered and optimistic during their recovery period. Abstract

Salah satu kasus kekerasan yang tidak pernah usai bahkan terus meningkat jumlah kasusnya hingga saat ini adalah kasusbullying. Pada dasarnya bullying dilakukan secara berulang-ulang oleh pelaku hingga korban merasa terintimidasi. Indonesiamenduduki peringkat kelima dalam kasus bullying dengan jumlah 41,1% menujukkan pelajar indonesia pernah mengalamibullying. Hal ini menjadi perhatian publik untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Dampak buruk dari bullying pada korban salahsatunya pada pskilogis atau mental korban. Mereka yang mengalami bullying cenderung akan menutup dirinya. Salah satucara agar mereka dapat mengatasi rasa trauma yaitu dengan melakukan keterbukaan diri dengan orang yang tepat. Penelitianini bertujuan untuk mengatahui aspek apa saja yang sudah diterapkan dalam keterbukaan diri oleh korban bullying yangmengalami trauma. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstuktivis dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif denganteknik penentuan informan adalah purposive sampling, sehingga didapat enam orang informan sesuai dengan kriteria yangditentukan. Lokasi penelitiannya yaitu di Telkom University Bandung. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupawawancara dan dokumentasi subjek penelitian kepada sejumlah enam informan kunci. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa keenam informan sudah menerapkan aspek keterbukaan diri yaitu aspek ketepatan, aspek motivasi, aspekwaktu, aspek intensif, dan aspek kedalaman. Walaupun beberapa informan pernah mengalami trauma, namuninforman tersebut dapat membuka dirinya kepada orang lain. Keenam infotman dinilai sudah membuka dirinya kepadaorang lain walaupun pernah menjadi korban bullying dan mengalami trauma dimasa lampaunya. Kata Kunci-bullying, self disclosure, trauma

Abstract

Interaksi keluarga merupakan bentuk komunikasi keluarga yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap dankarakter individual. Remaja merupakan salah satu fase perkembangan anak dimana terjadi lonjakan emosi yangtidak stabil, sehingga dalam proses pengelolaan emosi dibutuhkan kedewasaan dalam pengambilan keputusanpenyelesaian masalah. Penelitian ini membagi interaksi keluarga ke dalam tiga jenis menurut Santrock (2003)yakni interaksi keluarga autoritarian, autoritatif, dan permisif. Interaksi keluarga yang berbeda pada masingmasingkeluarga akan menimbulkan perbedaan dampak pada anak termasuk dalam tingkat keterbukaan diri yangdimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tiap jenis interaksi keluarga terhadap tingkatketerbukaan diri mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian analisisdeskriptif. Non-probability sampling digunakan sebagai metode pengambilan sampel yakni sebanyak 452Mahasiswa Universitas Telkom berusia 18-25 tahun. Pada penelitian didapatkan hubungan negatif dan tidaksignifikan antara interaksi keluarga autoritarian terhadap keterbukaan diri dengan nilai konstanta -0.50. Interaksikeluarga permisif menunjukkan hubungan positif namun tidak signifikan dengan nilai konstanta 0.139. Interaksikeluarga autoritatif menujukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap keterbukaan diri dengan nilai konstanta1.325, dimana merupakan hubungan paling kuat diantara jenis interaksi keluarga lainnya dalam mempengaruhiketerbukaan diri mahasiswa remaja.Kata Kunci- interaksi keluarga autoritarian, interaksi keluarga autoritatif, interaksi keluarga permisif,keterbukaan diri, remaja

Abstract

Anak tunagrahita adalah salah satu kelompok anak berkebutuhan khusus yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam skor intelegensi di bawah rata-rata. Keterbatasan ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran bagi orang tua mengenai perkembangan anak di masa depan, terutama dalam hal kemandirian. Kekhawatiran tersebut membuat orang tua menjadi lebih berhati-hati dalam memilih pendidikan yang sesuai untuk anak mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana proses komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dan anak tunagrahita dalam membantu mengembangkan kemandirian anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan 5 orang tua anak tunagrahita sebagai informan utama, serta guru dan seorang ahli psikologi keluarga sebagai informan tambahan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam, dan untuk meningkatkan validitas data, metode triangulasi digunakan dengan membandingkan hasil observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa belum semua aspek kemandirian terimplementasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam aspek kemandirian behavioral, hanya satu aspek yang terlihat yaitu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak tunagrahita melalui suasana kompetitif dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Penerapan kemandirian nilai dan emosional dalam proses pembelajaran juga belum terlihat.Kata Kunci-Komunikasi Interpersonal, anak tunagrahita, Kemandirian
