Abstract

This study examines the influence of school leadership on improving the quality of human resources within educational institutions by implementing character- and environment-focused programs, specifically the Adiwiyata School initiative. Employing a qualitative methodology, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis across several schools participating in the program. The results reveal that transformational leadership plays a critical role in motivating teachers and staff to enhance their professional skills and adopt innovative teaching approaches rooted in environmental stewardship and national character values. Additionally, active collaboration between schools and local communities emerges as a key factor contributing to the program’s effectiveness. The Adiwiyata School program not only fosters heightened environmental consciousness but also cultivates a school culture dedicated to developing student character. The study concludes that effective leadership in human resource management and school governance is essential for fostering sustainable, positive transformation, particularly within the evolving educational landscape influenced by digital advancements and pandemic challenges. These findings provide valuable insights for formulating adaptive and sustainable policies and management strategies in education.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of teacher performance on student learning outcomes in mathematics using quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitatively, linear regression analysis revealed a strong positive correlation, with a regression coefficient of 0.563, meaning each unit increase in teacher performance led to a 0.563 unit improvement in student outcomes. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.276) indicated that 27.6% of the variance in student achievement was explained by teacher performance, while other unexamined factors affected 72.4%. A T-test supported these findings, with a significance level of 0.01 (below the 0.05 threshold) and a t-value of 2.724, exceeding the critical value of 2.005, confirming statistical significance. These results affirm that teacher performance significantly impacts students' mathematical achievement. However, the relatively low R² suggests that other variables—such as curriculum quality, student motivation, parental involvement, or classroom environment—play essential roles. Qualitatively, the study underscores the need for further research to explore broader determinants of educational success and strategies to enhance teacher performance. By integrating both methods, the study provides a comprehensive understanding of how teacher quality shapes student learning and highlights the complexity of educational outcomes that extend beyond teacher-related factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for improving service quality at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Surabaya City through performance management of apparatus, optimization of digital technology utilization, and integration of good governance principles. Disdukcapil faces complex challenges due to high population mobility and increasing public demands for fast, transparent, and accountable services. Using a qualitative approach with observations and in-depth interviews with apparatus and service users, the study finds that successful public service delivery depends not only on system modernization but also on the capability of human resources to operate the system professionally and with integrity. Implementation of performance appraisal based on Employee Performance Targets (SKP), competency evaluations, and a fair reward and punishment system are crucial foundations to encourage productivity and an adaptive work culture. Information technology acts as an accelerator for service efficiency but is only effective if supported by adequate digital literacy among the public. Therefore, strategies to enhance service quality must combine strengthening internal bureaucratic capacity with empowering the community as active partners. The study concludes that the success of local public service reform relies on harmonizing policy instruments, digital infrastructure, and good governance values. Bureaucratic transformation oriented toward public satisfaction must be built through accountable, responsive, and inclusive systems to deliver excellent, fair, and sustainable services. The findings provide important foundations for formulating equitable and performance-based public service policies.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving national economic growth and are the main pillars of the community's economy. However, challenges in the digital era require MSMEs to adapt quickly, especially in marketing aspects, which are increasingly shifting to the digital realm. This community service activity discussed strategies for strengthening MSME performance through marketing digitalization and optimizing social media as a means of promotion and interaction with consumers. The activity was held in Klangon Village, Bojonegoro District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. The method used in this activity was a qualitative descriptive approach combined with a literature study related to the use of digital technology to support MSME marketing strategies. The identification results showed that the use of digital platforms such as social media, marketplaces, and business websites can have a significant impact on increasing product visibility, marketing efficiency, and expanding market reach, both locally, regionally, and nationally. Optimizing social media not only functions as a promotional tool but also builds more intensive interactions with consumers. Through the presentation of relevant, creative, and interactive content, MSMEs are able to increase customer engagement and strengthen brand loyalty. The findings of this activity confirm that digital marketing integrated with digital communication strategies can strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs amidst increasingly fierce market competition. However, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, a lack of technical skills, and a lack of understanding of effective digital marketing strategies among MSMEs. Therefore, ongoing efforts are needed to improve digital literacy, provide technical training, provide intensive mentoring, and provide policy support from the government and relevant stakeholders.

Abstract

This study examines the economic impacts of marine resource management on coastal populations, with an emphasis on sustainable development, governance frameworks, and community empowerment. Employing qualitative methods including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and thematic analysis the research explores how inclusive, gender-responsive governance fosters equitable resource distribution and local participation. While marine resource management can improve livelihood security, ecosystem health, and socio-economic stability, implementation is often impeded by institutional fragmentation, policy misalignment, and weak stakeholder coordination. Findings underscore the need for multilevel collaboration among local governments, coastal communities, and external actors to address these structural constraints. Furthermore, adaptive management, continuous monitoring, and the integration of local ecological knowledge are pivotal to long-term sustainability. The study argues that governance models must holistically incorporate socio-economic and environmental dimensions to advance the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in coastal regions. By offering empirical insights into the interplay between governance and coastal resilience, this research advances the theoretical discourse on participatory resource management. This study contributes to the development of inclusive marine governance models relevant to Southeast Asia and other archipelagic regions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the marketing strategies of Kedai Kopi Bedrek by integrating SWOT analysis and the Business Model Canvas (BMC) to strengthen competitive advantage in the increasingly dynamic coffee industry. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the café’s management and customers. SWOT analysis was applied to identify internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats, while the BMC framework was utilized to map the nine essential components of the business model, including value propositions, customer segments, distribution channels, and customer relationships. The findings reveal that Kedai Kopi Bedrek’s strengths lie in its differentiated products rooted in local wisdom, strategic location, and a loyal customer community. However, limitations were found in promotional resources and human capital capacity. Major opportunities arise from the growing coffee consumption trend among younger generations, the rapid advancement of digital technology, and potential collaboration with creative communities. On the other hand, threats include intense competition from modern coffee shops, fluctuating raw material prices, and shifting consumer preferences. The integration of SWOT and BMC led to several priority strategies, such as strengthening branding based on local values, optimizing digital marketing, diversifying menu offerings, and developing strategic partnerships with local businesses. These findings emphasize that a marketing strategy derived from the integration of SWOT and BMC provides a more comprehensive direction to enhance competitiveness and ensure business sustainability for Kedai Kopi Bedrek
