Abstract

In this research we aim to determine the factors that influence the nurse’ work engagement to be a foundation of knowledge to guide best practice to COVID-19 pandemic healthcare. This review started with identification the main topic in work engagement. The database used in, was Google Scholar and Mendeley were limited to publish from 2019-2021. The review used 3 articles that fit the inclusion criteria. This review found that front-line perceived low stress and work load, but high work engagement. The difference in work engagement of nurses working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 situation depend on their social characteristics and support. In addition, organizational identity could directly affect nursing. It can also indirectly impact nurses’ work engagement through the psychological resilience.

Abstract

Employee engagement is now recognized as an important topic in the company because it relates with turnover rate, productivity of employee and finally to the company growth. A study conducted to describe the finding of an effort to increase the effectiveness of engagement implementation by company in order to increase level of employee engagement. The study used qualitative research method through exploratory study in a multinational company in Jakarta. Data obtained through interviews with key leaders of the company to find out how the implementation of engagement conducted by the company, and a Focus Group Discussion of employee groups to determine the condition of employee engagement. The researchers analyzed the data from both of company and employees to see if there is a gap between engagement implementation by the company and the conditions of employee engagement. To obtain the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation techniques carried out by experts in the HR field. The study found that the company's efforts to implement employee engagement had not been carried out optimally and equally on all engagement indicators. Likewise, the condition of employee engagement has not yet reached optimal conditions. The conclusion described that there is a gap between companys engagement implementation program and the engagement conditions felt by employees. Thus, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the effectiveness of engagement implementation so that increasing the employee engagement bring contributes to the company's growth

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of the Strategic Management Model as an effort to increase the profitability of entrepreneurs in Indonesia through the ENTREDEV (Entrepreneur Development) program implemented in 2024 by the Assistant Deputy for Business Consultation and Assistance. The research method used is descriptive method, and the strategic management model used is the model from Fred R. David which suggests that there are three stages of strategy, namely strategy formulation, strategy implementation and strategy evaluation. The ENTREDEV program was attended by 300 participants out of 2300 entrepreneurial participants. The strategy formulation stage is by improving the 2024 program compared to the previous three-year program, the vision and target which was originally a beginner entrepreneur to an established entrepreneur. The strategy implementation stage is by designing case study sessions, growth sprints, networking sessions with various approaches and stakeholders. The strategy evaluation stage of the ENTREDEV program is that in addition to the entrepreneurs achieving high satisfaction, namely 8.1/10 from the ENTREDEV program, 89 entrepreneurs also experienced an increase in turnover and profitability.

Abstract

Effectiveness of High Dose Vitamin A Supplementation on The Recovery Rate and Immune Status of Underfive Children Suffering From Tuberculosis.Tuberculosis (TB), the infectious disease, is still one of the health problems in Indonesia. TB does not just make the people sick physically, but also interfere the immunity. As we have known that vitamin A can improve the immunity. The aimed of this randomized double blind study was to know the effect of high dose vitamin A on the improvement, immune status and the relationship between vitamin A and immune status in TB. Sixtyfive underfive children were selected from the Pediatrics Wards for out patient in Salak and Clsarua Hospital. They were grouped into 11 treatment group who received standard regimen therapy for TB plus high dose vitamin A in each month for 6 months and 21 control group who received the same TB regimen plus placebo also in each month for 6 months. Data on physical examination, weight, height, hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Ht), blood sedimen rate (BSR), serum vitamin A, immunoglobulin G (IgG) to TB, chest X ray (CXR) and food consumption were collected before and after (6 months) intervention. Information on morbidity and socioeconomic also were recorded. To evaluate the degree of improvement, score on nutritional status, BSR and CXR were made. The results showed that after 6 month there were improvement in anthropometry status, morbidity rate, Hb, Ht, BSR, IgG and CXR for both groups. The treatment group was improved in 7.2% subjects meanwhile the control group was improved in 58% subjects. Analysis for scoring improvement showed that the treatment group had better improvement 2,4 times than the control group. The conclusions are that the high dose vitamin A has a positive effect on the recovery and immune status of underfive children suffering TB. This study suggests to give high dose vitamin A to the regimen therapy for TB in children to get better results.Keywords: tuberculosis, vitamin A supplementation, IgG, recovery rate.

Abstract

The case study of Status of Retinol Carotenoid and Tocopherol of Implant and Injection Contraseptive Users with Bleeding Complication conducted in 3 health centers in Bogor. The total number of the subjects were 68 women who used implant contraseptive (39 were as control and 29 were as cases) and 59 women who used injection (31 were as control and 28 were as cases). The results showed were as that prevalence of anemia were 25% in injection case and 27.6% in implant case. The average of serum retinol, carotenoids and tocopherol were not significantly different between injection case and control. While the implant users were significantly different between case and control in term of serum alfa tocopherol (19.3 + 3.1 vs 13.7 + 3.04). The odd ratio for injection contraseptive ussers was 1.55 for lutein; while for implant contraseptive users was 2.49 for alfa carotene, 5.89 for alfa tocopherol and 1.39 for gamma tocopherol.Keywords: retinol, carotenooids, tocopherol, contraseptive users

Abstract

Numerous research studies have recently found that hospital health worker engagement correlates directly with critical safety, quality, and patient experience outcomes. Therefore, it is important to understand the current States of health worker engagement and its drivers to provide reliable services to patients. This study aims to determine the effect of organizational culture and servant leadership on health worker engagement in hospitals. The study participants consisted of 193 front-line health workers who had taken random sampling techniques from health workers of three hospitals. The study used a survey method designed by questionnaires. The research found that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on health worker engagement in hospitals. Otherwise, servant leadership has a positive but not significant effect on health worker engagement in hospitals. The findings of this study recommend creating a structured, transparent, involving everyone in the process to some degree and progressive organizational culture in hospital.

Abstract

Strategic management plays a crucial role in the development of co-working spaces and virtual offices, especially in navigating an increasingly competitive market. This study aims to examine the implementation of strategic management in the context of Jofter Group as a provider of co-working and virtual office services. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing strategic management theories, success factors in service-based businesses, and relevant case studies. The findings indicate that the success of strategic management implementation in Jofter Group depends on strategy formulation, operational implementation, as well as evaluation and adaptation to market changes. The implications of this study can serve as recommendations for co-working and virtual office managers in optimizing their business strategies.

Abstract

Sejumlah individu yang telah mencapai usia pensiun dihadapkan pada kondisi keuangan yang kurang stabil pasca berakhirnya masa kerja aktif mereka. Oleh karena itu sangat penting mempersiapkan diri sejak dini dalam menghadapi masa pensiun, dan akan lebih baik jika di persiapan dilakukan jauh hari sebelum pensiun tiba. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode studi literatur sebagai rancangan utama dalam pelaksanaannya. Dalam konteks ketenagakerjaan, masa pensiun merujuk pada periode ketika seorang karyawan tidak lagi menerima penghasilan secara penuh karena telah mencapai usia pensiun. Passive Income merupakan jenis penghasilan yang dihasilkan melalui sistem atau mekanisme yang dapat menghasilkan uang secara berkelanjutan tanpa keterlibatan langsung yang intens. Berikut adalah enam jenis investasi yang dapat menjadi pilihan 1) Deposito Bank Digital 2) RDPU 3) SBN 4) Obligasi 5) RDPT 6) Deposito BPR. Keberhasilan strategi investasi dalam konteks pensiun tidak hanya ditentukan oleh pemilihan aset yang tepat, melainkan juga oleh kedisiplinan, konsistensi, dan orientasi jangka panjang yang dimiliki oleh investor. Dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan yang sistematis, berbasis profil risiko, serta memperhatikan tujuan jangka panjang, maka individu dapat merancang portofolio pensiun yang tidak hanya aman dan berkelanjutan, tetapi juga mampu memberikan Passive Income yang memadai untuk menopang gaya hidup pada masa pensiun.
