Abstract

Background: More than 10% of adults in Indonesia experience mental and emotional disorders. Previous research has concluded that mental health is related to a person's physical literacy. Objectives: This study explores the relationship between physical literacy and mental health among adults in Semarang City, Indonesia, emphasizing the mediating role of various physical literacy domains. Methods: This observational study used a cross-sectional design with 610 participants chosen by stratified selection. Physical literacy and mental health were evaluated using the Perceived Physical Literacy Questionnaire (PPLQ) and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20), respectively. All data acquired during interviews with trained enumerators were then processed using Stata. The data was then evaluated with the Spearman Rank test. Results: The study included more women than men. They were largely high school and college students who weren't yet married. The respondents' physical literacy remained moderate, while their mental health remained good/free of unhealthy mental issues. Bivariate analysis revealed that higher levels of physical literacy were linked to better mental health outcomes, particularly in the categories of physical ability, knowledge, and motivation. Age and education levels also have a substantial impact on mental health. Conclusions: Physical literacy has a substantial impact on mental health among adults in Semarang City.

Abstract

Background: HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) are global problems that every year new cases are increasing. HIV cases Indonesia is the 5th country at risk of HIV and AIDS in Asia. The purpose of this study was to determine the social support and stigma of HIV/AIDS in workers. Method: The method used is Systematic Review (SR) using PubMed and ProQuest databases. The search strategy used PICO (general workers as a population, social support as an intervention, the results of social support and HIV/AIDS stigma on workers). The selected journal articles are in English, published in 20211-2021, and general workers. The results of data extraction are three journal articles reviewed from various countries such as South Africa and Tanzania Result: The results of the journal articles that have been reviewed show that the social support provided is acceptable for the stigma felt by workers. With the existence of social support can help provide assistance in the form of care, affection and positive support for people infected with HIV AIDS and to improve the quality of life of people infected with HIV / AIDS. Recommendation: Based on this research, the workplace provides support for dealing with HIV/AIDS in the workplace and provides social and health support for employees infected with HIV/AIDS and for workers to provide support, motivation and encouragement if there are other workers who are HIV positive. For the public to always look for correct and reliable information related to HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus and transmitted by the Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus mosquito. Sendangmulyo sub-district is the area with the highest number of dengue fever cases among the sub-districts in the Kedungmundu Health Center working area with the majority of residents' neighborhoods being residential complexes. Effor to control dengue hemorrhagic fever cases need to be increased by involving community participation. The problems faced by the community are the inconsistency of community knowledge and actions in efforts to eradicate mosquito nests in daily life, as well as the low level of public awareness in implementing habits to prevent cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever. The mentoring activities carried out were providing education regarding dengue hemorrhagic fever literacy and its prevention, followed by brainstorming regarding the root causes of the dengue problem in the Sendangmulyo area by producing a Follow-up Plan for implementing regional-based case reduction. Statistically, the pretest-posttest score difference test value for the knowledge, attitude and literacy variables respectively is 2.444 (p=0.015 <0.05); 2.142 (p=0.032 < 0.05) and 1.222 p=0.222 > 0.05). There is a significant difference in the mean pretest and posttest scores on the measurement of knowledge and attitude variables. The follow-up plan agreed upon by residents is the PKK Grebeg Jentik Movement, inspection of larvae in the field using a filter dipper, empty houses that have not been occupied for a long time must still be inspected with permission from the relevant RT, and provision of fishization for residents who have been inspected three times in a row and find larvae.

Abstract

In the digital era, physical activity tracking applications have become increasingly popular as tools to monitor body health and encourage healthy habits. However, the accuracy of distance measurements used by many of these applications still faces challenges, especially in environments with GPS signal interference. This research aims to develop a system that integrates GPS technology and accelerometer sensors to improve the accuracy of distance measurements in physical activity tracking applications. The developed system was tested through a prototype to evaluate the effectiveness of combining these two technologies in improving measurement results. Additionally, this research also designs a database system for efficient physical activity data management, enabling real-time monitoring. To enhance user motivation, a reward point system was applied as a gamification element to encourage further engagement in physical activities. The results of this research show that the combined use of GPS and accelerometers was able to improve measurement accuracy, with errors ranging from 2.4% to 4.2%, depending on the type of activity performed. Walking activities demonstrated higher accuracy compared to running. The reward point system was also proven to be effective in motivating users to be more active. This research provides an important contribution to the development of more accurate, efficient health applications that can improve both physical and mental well-being

Abstract

Background: Adolescent growth encompasses physical, biological, psychological, and social aspects, including interest in the opposite sex. Providing information and support related to reproductive health helps adolescents make proper and safe decisions. Objectives: This study aims to design and validate a reproductive health education model for university students. Methods: The study is a mixed method with a multi-stage design using the 4-phase Research and Development design approach (need assessment, model development, implementation, expert validation, and final product). This research involved 221 university students (online survey), 5 managers of adolescent education programs, 6 university students (in-depth interviews), and 10 peer educators (Focus Group Discussion). Data analysis was descriptive and content analysis. Results: The generated reproductive health education model consists of 1)educators (competent, trustworthy, peer, young, survivors, and good-looking), 2)recipients (late adolescents), 3)education methods (two-way, private, repetitive,), 4)education media (social media platforms), 5) educational content (all topics needed by late adolescents), 6)duration (30 seconds/topic), and 7)goals (to increase knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding reproductive health among university students). Expert validity testing: the model was highly accepted and deemed suitable for implementation (94.7%).Conclusion: The educational model developed is encouraged for implementation among university students. Introducing and implementing the model requires support from relevant stakeholders (NGOs, students, faculty, and university stakeholders). Implementation is necessary to prove the model's effectiveness in increasing knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding reproductive health among university students.

Abstract

The theory of planned behavior (TPB) has been proposed to be applied to the issue of pornography in urban student participants. The study aims to examine the validity and reliability of instrument attitudes, subjective norms, and intentions of students in consuming pornography. The instrument was tested on 1845 students by a self-administered online questionnaire. The collected data is then tested for validity with Pearson product-moment. The item question is valid if the r count > r table. Then the variable is reliable if the Cronbach alpha value is more than 0.60. A total of 5 attitude question items, four subjective norm question items, and six intention question items were all declared valid (CI: 95%; r value > 0.062). While Cronbach alpha values for attitude (0.769), subjective norm (0.676), and intention (0.863). This valid and reliable instrument can measure attitude, subjective norm, and intention on similar targets.
