Abstract

Kota Bandar Lampung menghadapi permasalahan banjir yang kerap terjadi pada musim hujan akibat berkurangnya area resapan air. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan teknologi biopori dan program penghijauan sebagai upaya mitigasi banjir di berbagai lokasi strategis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya mitigasi bencana banjir berbasis teknologi ramah lingkungan, pembuatan 100 lubang biopori di 9 lokasi yang rawan genangan air, dan penanaman 50 pohon di 6 lokasi dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa lokasi dengan biopori terbanyak adalah Gg. Saburai dengan 36 lubang sebagai kawasan permukiman padat, sedangkan penanaman pohon terfokus di Harapan Jaya dengan 38 pohon jenis produktif seperti pala, sawo, dan kelengkeng. Evaluasi menunjukkan pengurangan genangan air di beberapa titik setelah hujan deras, khususnya di kawasan permukiman. Keberhasilan program ini bergantung pada komitmen jangka panjang masyarakat dalam merawat biopori dan pohon yang telah ditanam. Diperlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan dan kerjasama antara perguruan tinggi, pemerintah daerah, dan masyarakat untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program mitigasi banjir berbasis teknologi ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Islamic philanthropy has undergone significant transformation in the digital era, presenting new opportunities and challenges in building public trust. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining a quantitative survey of 100 donors to the National Azan Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in Bandar Lampung City with in-depth interviews with 15 participants. The quantitative analysis included linear regression, while the qualitative data were analyzed thematically. Secondary data from BAZNAS reports and policy documents were also used to enrich the analysis. This study aimed to analyze the perceptions and levels of trust among urban Muslims in digital Islamic philanthropy management, identify challenges, and identify influencing factors. The results showed that levels of trust in digital Islamic philanthropy management varied based on donor age. Younger donors (18-35 years old) tended to trust digital platforms more, while older donors (>50 years old) preferred traditional methods. Other factors influencing trust include education level, digital literacy, and previous experience with philanthropic institutions. Financial transparency, platform ease of use, and the institution's reputation are also key factors in building trust. Bridging the digital divide between generations, increasing digital literacy among senior donors, and ensuring data security are particular challenges for institutions. Philanthropic institutions need to adopt a multi-channel strategy that accommodates the preferences of various age groups while maintaining Sharia principles.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah mentransformasi metode penelitian di berbagai disiplin ilmu. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dosen ilmu komunikasi dalam memanfaatkan AI untuk keperluan penelitian. Dilaksanakan pada 9 Mei 2025 melalui kolaborasi antara Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung dengan Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI) Lampung, pelatihan ini melibatkan 20 dosen ilmu komunikasi. Pelatihan menggunakan metode interaktif yang menggabungkan ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung dalam menggunakan berbagai alat penelitian berbasis AI. Evaluasi pre-test dan post-test dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 58,5 (pre-test) menjadi 82,3 (post-test), atau peningkatan sebesar 40,68%. Peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi dalam memanfaatkan tools AI untuk tinjauan literatur, analisis data, bantuan penulisan akademik, dan deteksi misinformasi dalam penelitian digital. Pelatihan ini berhasil membekali akademisi dengan keterampilan literasi AI yang esensial untuk melakukan penelitian yang lebih efisien dan efektif di era digital. Abstract

Digital philanthropic da’wah on social media has emerged as a significant force shaping charitable engagement among urban Muslim communities; yet, the psychological mechanisms through which media exposure translates into attitudinal change remain underexplored in the Indonesian context. Grounded in the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theoretical framework, this study examines how exposure to digital philanthropic da’wah influences the charitable attitudes of urban Muslims in Bandar Lampung. Employing a convergent mixed-methods design, the study integrates a quantitative survey of 100 respondents drawn from the BAZNAS Bandar Lampung donor database with in-depth interviews of 15 purposively selected participants. Regression analysis reveals a significant positive effect of digital da’wah exposure on charitable attitudes (β = 0.581, R² = 0.338, F = 49.982, p < 0.001), with the strongest influence found in the cognitive dimension (R² = 32.4%), followed by affective (R² = 28.0%) and conative aspects (R² = 22.7%). Qualitative findings uncover five key themes: emotional resonance with content, credibility concerns, motivation for social engagement, heightened awareness, and perceived ease of donating. This study contributes a dual-perspective S-O-R analysis of Islamic digital philanthropy in a mid-sized Indonesian city, demonstrating that cognitive awareness is the primary mechanism of attitude formation while conative conversion remains constrained by institutional trust deficits. These findings offer strategic guidance for Islamic philanthropic organizations and digital da'i seeking to design credible, informationally rich, and behaviorally effective campaigns

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the form of intercultural communication that occurs through the digital work "Namoy Budaya" in its representation of Jamaican culture in the digital space. As a musician and DJ who blends elements of electronic music with Jamaican cultural values such as freedom, peace, and solidarity, 'Namoy Budaya" is a true example of cross-cultural communication practices in the era of digital globalization. The approach of this research is qualitative descriptive with in-depth interview techniques on "Namoy Budaya" as cultural communicators and some of their active followers as message recipients. Analysis was also carried out on digital content on social media to understand communication strategies and forms of cultural adaptation displayed. The results of the study indicate that “Namoy Budaya” employs three main intercultural communication strategies in the digital environment: the use of reggae music as a medium of cultural adaptation, visual symbols inspired by Jamaican identity combined with local Indonesian elements, and interactive digital narratives through social media engagement. The study also found that followers interpret “Namoy Budaya” as a representation of cultural hybridity, freedom of expression, and an alternative medium for global cultural education. These findings demonstrate how digital media facilitates the negotiation of global and local cultural identities in contemporary intercultural communication. This research confirms that intercultural communication in the digital space is not just an exchange of symbols, but also a creative process of building understanding and harmony between global and local cultures.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembingkaian wacana politik identitas dalam media televisi di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada program Dua Arah di Kompas TV. Menggunakan pendekatan konstruktivis melalui model pembingkaian Robert N. Entman, studi ini meneliti empat elemen: mendefinisikan masalah, mendiagnosis penyebab, membuat penilaian moral, dan memberikan rekomendasi penanganan. Penelitian ini menganalisis episode "Politik Identitas, Jadi Jalan Pintas?" pada tahun 2023 dan menampilkan lima pembicara dari beragam latar belakang, termasuk akademisi, politisi, dan pengamat. Temuan menunjukkan pola pembingkaian yang konsisten di seluruh segmen program yang mengonstruksi politik identitas sebagai ancaman serius bagi demokrasi Indonesia. Analisis pembingkaian mengidentifikasi bagaimana program tersebut mendefinisikan politik identitas sebagai pengganggu diskusi politik substantif, mendiagnosis elit politik sebagai pihak yang mengeksploitasi sentimen identitas demi keuntungan elektoral, menyampaikan kecaman moral yang kuat terhadap praktik tersebut karena bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, serta merekomendasikan solusi melalui pendidikan pemilih dan regulasi kampanye. Analisis frekuensi kata menunjukkan bahwa "politik identitas" muncul 61 kali dan "agama" 39 kali, yang mengindikasikan fokus pada dimensi keagamaan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa media televisi membingkai politik identitas dengan menyajikan sudut pandang spesifik yang menekankan bahaya mobilisasi politik berbasis identitas, sekaligus mengadvokasi seleksi kepemimpinan berbasis kompetensi, sehingga berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang bagaimana media membangun wacana politik dalam demokrasi pluralistik di Indonesia. This study examines how identity-politics discourse is framed in Indonesian television, with a specific focus on Kompas TV’s Dua Arah discussion program. Employing a constructionist paradigm and Robert N. Entman’s four-element framing model—define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and suggest remedies—this research analyzes the episode “Politik Identitas, Jadi Jalan Pintas?” (Identity Politics, A Shortcut?) broadcast in 2023. The episode featured five speakers representing academic, political practitioner, and observer perspectives. Analysis reveals that the program frames identity politics as a threat to democratic quality, attributes its persistence to elite opportunism and structural regulatory deficiencies, condemns its practice on Pancasilaist moral grounds, and recommends voter education alongside stronger campaign enforcement. Word frequency analysis identified “identity politics” (61 occurrences) and “religion” (39 occurrences) as dominant terms, indicating that the religious dimension constitutes the primary axis of concern in identity politics in this context. Crucially, these findings reflect the framing adopted by this specific program and should not be generalized to Indonesian television as a whole. This study contributes to political communication scholarship by demonstrating the applicability of Entman’s model to interactive television discussion formats and by highlighting the role of media ideology in shaping identity politics narratives within Indonesia’s pluralistic democracy.
