Abstract

Hybrid energy storage systems have shown promise in enhancing solar panel systems reliability and efficiency. However, managing the power distribution balance with multiple energy storage units remains a challenge. This research addresses power distribution balancing during solar irradiation intermittency by employing a first-order filter with lowpass and highpass characteristics. The study aims to investigate energy and power management issues for off-grid electrical systems using this filter. Results from numerical simulations and experiments with a hybrid energy storage setup comprising a battery and supercapacitor show that the first-order filter effectively allocates the first-order signal to the main energy storage and subsequent orders to the supporting energy storage. During increased intermittency, the battery contributes 62 W and stores 387 W, while the supercapacitor contributes 167 W and stores 297 W. Conversely, during reduced intermittency, the battery stores 390 W and contributes 62 W, and the supercapacitor stores 295 W and contributes 164 W. The findings demonstrate the filter's efficacy in optimizing power distribution balance within hybrid energy storage systems. However, using the supercapacitor as the main energy storage does not result in higher power efficiency compared to the battery. In conclusion, the First Order Filter presents a viable solution for addressing power distribution challenges in hybrid energy storage systems, contributing to improved energy and power management for off-grid electrical systems. Further research on cost-effectiveness, maintenance, and environmental impact is warranted for practical implementation

Abstract

Tofu is a side dish or food used by many people. As a processed food product made from soybeans, white tofu contains protein and high water content so it is very good for the growth of spoilage microorganisms. As a result, tofu is not durable and easily damaged. Damage to white tofu is characterized by a sour and slimy odor. The usual preservation methods for traders include soaking tofu in formalin to make tofu more resistant to decay, resistant to microorganisms, and maintaining its freshness for up to seven days. Formalin to prevent unwanted things. In food Because of the above problems, there needs to be special treatment against excessive use of formalin in food in Indonesia. Formalin should be limited within International Chemical Safety Programme (IPCS) limits for adult foods containing formaldehyde. And also sensors made of polymeric materials combined with activated carbon to detect formalin in food. The development of technology continues with the development of internet products from things that can communicate with each other through the internet. Then a tool was developed to solve the above problem. As part of the research, a formaldehyde detection device will be made in tofu food with a monitoring telegram. The system uses HCHO sensors and a Node MCUESP 32 microcontroller, which is then transmitted through a database that allows you to view through the LCD screen and the Telegram Android smartphone application, of which of course many applications are installed to facilitate this. Users are able to check formalin plates remotely via an internet network connection.

Abstract

The OpenCV Python library has been developed in all technology fields, including the industrial sector. In the industrial world, there are objects sorting tools in the form of conveyors. These instruments are presently more advanced since they employ cameras to read the things that should be sorted. The purpose of applying the Open Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV) system to this object’s sorter conveyor is to make it easier to sort objects based on color detection technology. The OpenCV method for object detection based on color was employed to select those objects. The first step in identifying the object in question is to capture RGB (red, green, and blue) objects in real time and transform their colors into HSV. Additionally, by masking the object to be centered and applying a threshold, the morphological process can remove unnecessary noise from the image. The investigation results include the ability to differentiate objects based on RGB color when sorted by considering the HSV value on the surface of colored objects.

Abstract

The prototype device is a flood detection tool based on an ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 and using a LoRa SX1278 module. The device is designed for use in a flood case study in Gelam, Sidoarjo. The ultrasonic sensor measures the water level around the device, while the LoRa module transmits the water level data to a receiving device. With this device, it is expected that the surrounding community can monitor the water level in the area, thereby predicting the risk of floods and taking necessary preventive measures. The device can also help authorities make the right decisions in dealing with flood situations. However, it should be noted that this is a prototype device and still needs to be tested more widely to determine its accuracy in monitoring water levels and the reliability of the LoRa module in transmitting data.

Abstract

Pregnancy is an important stage in a woman's life that requires special monitoring and care to ensure the well-being of both mother and fetus. The presence of uterine contractions is an im-portant indicator of imminent labour, and prompt monitoring is essential to spot difficulties and ensure a safe delivery. This study aims to track contractions in pregnant women to improve pre-natal and labour care. Real-time monitoring, recording and analysis of uterine contractions. This research is a type of R&D research with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The result of this tool is that it can precisely track contraction activity and send information to the IoT network. Through an easy-to-use mobile app, this in-formation can be accessed by medical staff caring for pregnant women and pregnant women themselves. To provide continuous monitoring, provide early notification of alarming changes, and facilitate rapid medical response, this monitoring system utilizes IoT technology. This can ease the burden on medical institutions, lower the possibility of difficulties during labour, and provide a sense of security for pregnant women. As an innovative and effective tool, the Inter-net of Things-based Maternal Contraction Monitoring System is anticipated to improve prenatal and delivery healthcare, reduce maternal and infant mortality, and monitor contractions in preg-nant women. The healthcare of pregnant women around the world could be significantly im-proved with the successful implementation of this approach.

Abstract

Rancang bangun ini bertujuan untuk membuat alat penghangat dan kontrol suhu air pada susu bayi yang menggunakan Arduino Uno, sensor suhu DHT11, dan display LCD 16x2. Alat ini dirancang untuk membantu memastikan suhu air yang digunakan untuk mencampur susu bayi berada dalam rentang yang tepat dan aman. Susu formula merupakan makanan yang sangat dibutuhkan bayi untuk pertumbuhan dan kecerdasannya, Susu formula berperan penting dalam makanan bayi, karena seringkali menjadi satu-satunya sumber nutrisi bagi bayi merupakan sumber protein berkualitas tinggi. Alat ini bekerja dengan cara mengukur suhu air menggunakan sensor suhu DHT11, menampilkan suhu yang terdeteksi pada display LCD 16x2, dan mengontrol pemanasan menggunakan pengaturan suhu yang diinginkan. Jika suhu air terlalu rendah, alat akan mengaktifkan pemanas untuk meningkatkan suhu air hingga mencapai suhu yang diinginkan. Sebaliknya, jika suhu air terlalu tinggi, alat akan mematikan pemanas atau memberikan peringatan kepada pengguna. Pengguna dapat mengatur suhu yang diinginkan melalui antarmuka yang disediakan pada display LCD. Alat ini juga dapat memberikan notifikasi atau peringatan kepada pengguna jika suhu air terlalu rendah atau terlalu tinggi melalui pesan pada display LCD atau sinyal suara. Dengan adanya alat ini, orang tua atau pengasuh dapat dengan mudah mengontrol dan memantau suhu air yang digunakan untuk susu bayi, sehingga memastikan bahwa suhu air yang diberikan kepada bayi berada dalam rentang yang aman dan nyaman.

Abstract

Abstract—In the modern era, electric vehicle technology is rapidly developing and emerging as a more environmentally friendly option than fossil fuel vehicles. Despite its many advantages, electric vehicles face safety concerns, especially fire hazards caused by problems with the battery, electrical system, or human error. Fires in electric vehicles can occur due to problems with the lithium-ion battery, accidents, or improper maintenance. Although rare, this risk needs to be considered by following maintenance and safety guidelines. Fire detection systems in electric vehicles are designed to detect and respond to potential fires, provide early warning, and take preventive or emergency action. The system uses NodeMCU esp8266 as the microcontroller, which is connected with a smartphone via WiFi. Data from the MQ2 sensor and the fire sensor are sent and recorded on the IoT platform on the smartphone. This tool is able to detect fires in real-time, but unstable internet or WiFi quality can affect data transmission. Thus, this system is expected to increase safety and reduce the risk of fire in electric vehicles, so that people feel safer and more confident in using this environmentally friendly technology. Abstract

The increasing number of motor vehicles has been increasing the fuel demands, especially the demands for ‘pertalite’ (product of fuel) and ‘pertamax’ (product of fuel) fuels. These fuels are usually placed in a cylindrical reservoir at an SPBU (gas station) that is located below the ground surface. To find out the remaining volume of BBM (fuel), gas station attendants usually check it manually by dipping the meter stick to the bottom of the reservoir. Then, the boundary surface of the fuel is used as a reference in reading the meter value. Because it was considered to be an ineffective measurement, an Android-based electronic media was created to make it easier. This tool uses the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect the fuel height level in the reservoir. To show the results, the Blynk application is applied for the user interface. To support the IoT (internet of things) system, NodeMCU is used that is included with the WIFI module so that it can be connected to the internet. Based on the tests that have been done, the HC-SR04 ultrasound sensor has good accuracy and can monitor the height levels of fuel in real-time.

Abstract

When it comes to disease prevention and quality human development, the main focus is on promoting optimal under-five health and growth. Integrated service posts, also known as posyandu, often take center stage when it comes to tracking the development of under-fives in the community. However, there is still no effective system to measure the height and weight of toddlers in posyandu. Therefore, a spreadsheet-based tool was created that can help the process of measuring the height and weight of toddlers in posyandu to be easier, faster, and more accurate. The data can also help posyandu officers, medical personnel, and parents in making decisions related to the health and nutrition of toddlers. Height and weight monitoring is done through a spreadsheet. The components used in this tool are ESP 8266 as a microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor as a height meter, load cell sensor as a weight meter, LCD to display measurement notifications, rfid-rc522 to communicate data from rfid tags so that when scanning/tagging to rfid, the data from height and weight measurements will be uploaded to the spreadsheet. From the tests carried out, it is obtained that the device functions properly and helps posyandu officers to monitor and measure the growth of height and weight in toddlers efficiently.

Abstract

Penyimpanan dokumen berharga dalam loker kerja adalah untuk menjaga agar dokumen tidak hilang. Selama ini loker kerja menggunakan kunci konvensional, jadi tingkat keamanannya kurang karena mudah dirusak secara paksa. Maka dibutuhkan sistem otomatisasi dan peringatan dini untuk mengamankan dokumen berharga.Perancangan ini dilakukan untuk membuat loker kerja menggunakan arduino, bluetooth, aplikasi android, sensor getaran,solenoid  kunci elektrik dan LCD. Perancangan loker kerja yang telah dibuat dapat mengamankan secara otomatis. Jika Bluetooth terhubung dengan android maka pengamanan lemari loker akan dapat bekerja secara otomatis dalam proses buka/tutup pintu loker kerja. Dengan menggunakan alat ini maka mampu memberikan keamanan secara otomatis.
