Abstract: This research is titled reduplication in Riau Malay Folklore. The purpose of this study is to identify forms and meanings of reduplication in Riau Malay Folklore. The benefits of this research are divided into two namely practical and theoretical. The operational definition is research that directs to the forms and meanings of reduplication contained in Riau Malay Folklore which in this case is focused on reduplication contained in the Riau Malay Folklore book from Bengkalis Regency entitled: Khayal Interview with Yung Dollah, Lancang Kuning in Bukit Batu, Dedap Durhaka, Awang Pink Crushing Lanun, Story of the Terubuk King Falling in Love with Princess Puyu, A Brief History of Datuk Setia Indra Merbau, Tragedy in Tanah Pereban, and Panglima Bujang Kelana. The data of this study are the contents of the Riau Malay Folk Stories, especially those from Bengkalis Regency, where there is a re-use or reduplication in the Riau Malay Folklore book, especially those from Bengkalis Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method that describes descriptive data. Data collection techniques used are reading and note-taking techniques. After the data is collected, the steps or techniques used in analyzing the data are as follows: (1) identifying reduplication contained in the Malay folklore book especially those from Bengkalis Regency, (2) grouping the forms and meanings of reduplication contained in the Riau Malay Folklore book especially those from Bengkalis Regency. (3) describe the forms and meanings of reduplication obtained in the Riau Malay Folklore book especially those from Bengkalis Regency, (4) conclude how the forms and meanings of reduplication contained in the Riau Malay Folklore book especially those originating from Bengkalis Regency. Based on the data analysis that has been done, found 226 reduplication data in Riau Malay Folklore. Key Words: Reduplication, Forms of Reduplication, Meaning Reduplication, Riau Malay Folklore

Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain the level of ability of Annur Pekanbaru Middle School students in determining the use of capital letters and italics. This research uses descriptive method using objective text data of Annur Pekanbaru Middle School students. This descriptive method uses quantitative research in its use. Because this study contains measurements of the level of students' ability to determine capital letters and italics, this study uses quantitative research. In examining the level of ability of Annur Pekanbaru Middle School students in the use of capital letters and italics we must calculate the scores of Annur Pekanbaru Junior High School students. From there then we can find out how much the ability of Annur Pekanbaru junior high school students to determine the use of capital letters and italics. The results showed that: (1) the average percentage in the ability to determine the use of capital letters of Annur Junior High School students in Pekanbaru was 78.49. The percentage is included in the medium category, (2) the average percentage in the ability to determine the use of italics is 76.34. These percentages fall into the medium category.Key Words: Ability, Capital Letters, Italics

Abstract: This study provided the opportunity to write the text of the negotiation of students from class X of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. This study is aimed at finding and describing the ability to write the text of the class X student association of SMKN 5 Pekanbaru and the considerable difference in writing skills of negotiation text from class X students of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru is stylish or a group. The method used is the inferential quantitative method. The data from this research is the result of the possibility to write the text of the negotiation text of class X students of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, consisting of 14 classes with a total of 365 students and the number of sample 191 students. Based on the research, the result obtained was that (1) the ability to write the text of negotiation of class X students from SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru is moderate; (2) the possibility to write the text of the negotiation of class X students of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru between different classes, its meaning, there is a difference in writing skills of negotiation text of class X students of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru between colleagues class X or some class X. Overall, the ability to write the text of the negotiation of students of Class X SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru moderate category that is on average 68.59 worth. Moreover, there are considerable differences in the ability to write the text of the negotiation of students from class X of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Writing, negotiation text, class X student of SMK Negeri 5 Pekanbaru

ABSTRACT: This study, entitled The ability determines subordinating conjunctions IT class VIII students of Al-Izhar School Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine students' ability to determine the conjunctions in a sentence. The method used is descriptive analysis method. The research sample numbering 56. The results found (1) the percentage of subordinating conjunctions ability to determine the time of high category with a percentage of 84.18%, (2) ability to determine the percentage of subordinating conjunctions because high category with a percentage of 83.21%, (3) the percentage of ability determine the subordinating conjunctions supposition being categorized with the percentage of 78.21%, (4) ability to determine the percentage of subordinating conjunctions goal being categorized with the percentage of 81.61%, (5) ability to determine the percentage of subordinating conjunctions konsesif high category with a percentage of 86.10%, (6) ability to determine the percentage of subordinating conjunctions complementation being categorized with the percentage of 80.00%.Keywords: ability to determine , subordinating conjunctions , students viii

Abstract: This study discusses the Aesthetics of sound and meaningin the singing children’s text Akit tribal village west bay setimbul meral district court district Karimun. The interesting thing about this study is the text object, “singing” that should be preserved due to the nature that it is rich in aesthetic elements. Problems examined through children's song texts are (1) how aesthetic sound and (2) how is the meaning in the text of the song of children. Aesthetic sound and meaning are able to deepen the meaning and describe things that are spoken through the language of the song writer in order to touch feelings. The study was categorized as a qualitative study using descriptive analysis method. The research data is in the form of a children’s song lyric taken from information of people. Data were analyzed based on the aesthetic elements that include a) rhyme, b) efoni, c) kakafoni, d) alliteration, e) assonance, f) anaphora, g) epifocal, h) onomatopoeic, and I) meaning. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found 5 data of rhyme beginning, 8 data on middle rhyme, 9 data on rhyme ending sequence, 10 data on rhyme late in pairs, 3 data on rhyme late intermittent, 3 data on the final rhyme hugged, 19 data on efoni 20 Data on kakafoni, 13 data on alliteration, 12 data on assonance, 5 data on anaphora, 8 data on epifocal, 4 data on onomatopoeic and 22 data on meaning (sentence connotation). The results of this study indicate that the essence of the aesthetic object is the ability to attract someone through beauty or ugliness. The results of this study are expected to have contributed to the development of science, particularly in researching of literary aesthetics.Key words: Aesthetic, text of children’s songs, akit tribal karimun district

Abstract: Based on the results of observations and preliminary interviews with Indonesian language subject teachers and seventh grade students at 7 Mandau State Middle School, it was known that the class had not yet succeeded in achieving the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) on school-determined daily tests of 75. Students who achieved the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) only amounted to 120 students from 209 students or only 57.4%. Whereas, learning outcomes are said to be good if students have reached KKM as much as 60% -75%. Referring to the national KKM standard set by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This study aims to describe the relationship of learning readiness to student learning outcomes at Mandau 7 Public Middle School and describe the relationship of achievement motivation to student learning outcomes at Mandau 7 Public Middle School. The instrument was made according to the variable measurement standards, while the theory adopted by the researcher for the learning readiness variable was from Soemanto, and the achievement motivation variables were taken from McClelland's theory. The principle of measurement and scale used in this study is the Likert Scale. Observations were made to obtain Indonesian learning outcomes obtained in a study sample. Data analysis is intended to test the truth of the hypothesis. The data analysis technique used in this study is correlational analysis. Before hypothesis testing is carried out, validity and reliability tests are carried out. Based on the results of the research and the objectives to be achieved, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning readiness and the learning outcomes of Indonesian students at Mandau 7th Middle School with the strength of the relationship in the strong category and there is a correlation between achievement motivation and Indonesian language learning outcomes at Mandau 7th Public Relations in the medium category.Key Words: Learning Readiness, Achievement Motivation, and Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes

ABSTRAK:This research is to describe useing coordinative conjunction in a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS. The aim of this research is to know and to discribe about using coordinative conjunction in a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS. This research is about descriptive qualitative. The source of this research is a novel Kasih Tak Terlerai created by Soeman HS consist of 11 sub tittle. The result of this research refer to formulation and the aim of research. Frist data be fount as much as 172 be found using coordinative conjunction in the first as much as16, using coordinative conjunction in the middle is as 152, and using coordinative conjunction in the end is nothing. Using coordinative conjunction whic connecting klausa by clausa as much as 152, and conecting sentence by sentence as much as 16 data. ABSTRACT This study aimed at finding the ability of students at SMK Tigama in writing Descriptive text. The method of this study was descriptive. The samples were 42 students. The subjects were the first year students of SMK Tigama Pekanbaru. The data were collected by using written test. The results of the test were analyzed by considering the aspects of students’ writing ability. Base on the aspects of writing ability, the findings found that the ability of the first year students at SMK Tigama in ‘content’ aspect was in the medium level by the average of 27.610 or 78.96% from the maximum score of 35. The students’ ability was low in ‘organization’ aspect with the average scores of 20.523 or 68.357% from the maximum score of 30. The average score obtained for ‘language use’ was 19.904 or 79.619% from the maximum score of 25. It means that their ability in using the language was in the medium level. In ‘mechanic’ aspect, their ability was low with the average score of 5.66 or 56.66% from the maximum score of 10. In brief, the average score of descriptive writing ability by the first year students was 73.928 or 73.928% from the maximum score of 100. It means that the first year students of SMK Tigama had medium level of ability in writing descriptive text. Key words: Writing, Descriptive text

Abstract: This study examines the writing skills of students in class Vii SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. The research objectives were to determine the ability to write rhymes, to determine the differences in students' abilities between sample groups, to determine the ability to write rhymes sampiran, and to determine the ability to write the contents of the rhyme content of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. This study has a population of 84 and a sample of 69. The data of this study are the results of the student's answer test in the seventh grade students' rhyme writing test of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. This study used an instrument in the form of a writing test (essay) and observation. The data in this research are the results of the assessment in the form of scores on the writing test of the seventh grade rhymes of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. The test instructs students to write rhymes with the topics that have been provided and pay attention to the verse verse, lines, rhymes, sampiran and content. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods through tests to determine the level of writing skills of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. One-way ANOVA test to determine differences in the ability to write rhymes of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru between sample groups. The results of this study were a test of the ability to write rhymes for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru, which was classified as high with an average score.Key Words: Ability, Writing, Pantun, Students
