Abstract

Keterampilan menulis puisi adalah keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran, sehingga siswa harus mempunyai keterampilan menulis yang baik guna mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas tentang permasalahan terkait rendahnya keterampilan menulis puisi siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia . Rendahnya keterampilan menulis puisi siswa di kelas delapan SMPN 34 Surabaya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada materi teks puisi disebabkan karena adanya model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi, sehingga hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yakni guna meningkatkan keterampilan siswa untuk menulis teks puisi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan question card yang berbasis CRT(Culturally Responsive Teaching) di SMPN 34 Surabaya. Peneliti menerapkan pembelajaran Team Gamses Tournament pada dua siklus. Penelitian ini terdiri atas banyak tahap yakni observasi, perencanaan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menerapkan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 30 peserta didik kelas delapan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan ialah observasi serta wawancara guna memahami keterampilan menulis puisi peserta didik pada siklus pertama dan kedua.

Abstract

Menulis surat pribadi merupakan keterampilan penting bagi peserta didik SMP sebagai ungkapan terhadap seseorang untuk menyampaikan sebuah pesan secara tertulis. Namun, beberapa peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan perasaan melalui surat utamanya surat pribadi. Siswa di kelas VII-I SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis surat mereka. Melalui PTK atau Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, diterapkan. Observasi di kelas, analisis dokumen, wawancara, dan tes yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Terdapat temuan permasalahan bahwa kemahiran setiap individu peserta didik dalam menulis surat pribadi meningkat setelah menggunakan pendekatan pedagogik Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek. Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan demikian dijelaskan setiap siklus. Penerapan pembelajaran kolaboratif yang berpusat pada peserta didik dalam konteks paradigma Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL) bertanggung jawab atas peningkatan ini.

Abstract

This study aims to compile a Roadmap for Language and Literature research in the 2016-2025 period and to predict lecturers' interest in research in the field of Language and Literature in accordance with the vision and mission of the study program and UPPS. This research refers to the results of research policy documents at the faculty and university levels, as well as documents of achievement of policies that have been previously determined. The FGD method is directed at reviewing existing documents. The analytical method used in this research is secondary data analysis or existing statistics. The results of this study are that in the next 10 years, the previous 5 years 2016-2020 represent basic research, the next 5 years 2021-2025 are development research. The priority topics that can become the umbrella for the Language and Literature research roadmap of FBS Surabaya State University for the 2016-2025 period are elaboration of Microlinguistics, Macrolinguistics, Literary Studies, Curriculum Studies, Learning, Literacy, Entrepreneurship for 2016-2020. This can be interpreted that the lecturers have implemented an efficient learning system that supports the careers of graduates later.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the types of writing errors made by seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 34 Surabaya in descriptive texts, including spelling errors, standard word choice, and effective sentences. This study uses S. Pit Corder’s error analysis theory. The data sources for this study come from students’ descriptive texts that contain errors or deviations from the EYD, KBBI, and standard grammar guidelines. The research data is presented in the form of error analysis using a descriptive-qualitative approach in the form of content analysis. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and writing tests. The data analysis techniques used included reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that from 30 data sources, 505 errors were found, consisting of 444 spelling errors, including 210 errors in the use of capital letters and 26 errors in the use of italics; 46 errors in the use of periods and 62 errors in the use of commas; 17 errors in affixation, 21 errors in prepositions, and 72 errors in word abbreviations. Errors were also found in the selection of standard words (26 errors) and the construction of effective sentences (35 errors). The results of interviews with Indonesian language teachers show that the main cause of writing errors is students’ lack of mastery and understanding of standard writing rules. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students still lack understanding of the use of standard Indonesian grammar, so in-depth learning is needed to improve students’ language skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keperluan diri tokoh utama dalam novel Trauma karya Boy Candra berdasarkan teori keperluan Abraham Maslow yang terdiri atas lima tingkatan. Selain itu, juga mendeskripsikan dampak psikologis yang muncul akibat tidak terpenuhinya sebagian keperluan tersebut dalam diri tokoh utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa dialog tokoh dalam novel Trauma. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca dan catat, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model analisis data induktif. Dalam penelitian ini validasi data dilakukan pakar sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Kimara, hanya dua keperluan yang terpenuhi dengan baik, yaitu keperluan fisiologis dan keperluan harga diri. Sedangkan tiga keperluan lainnya tidak terpenuhi secara optimal sehingga berdampak pada kondisi mental tokoh Kimara.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of multicultural values in the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye. The focus of the study is directed at four aspects of multicultural values, namely (1) solidarity and social brotherhood, (2) gender equality, (3) family values, and (4) respect for morals. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a literary anthropology approach. The source of research data is in the form of the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye, while the research data is in the form of narrative quotes and dialogues that represent multicultural values. Data collection techniques are carried out through reading, listening, recording, and literature study techniques. Data analysis was carried out using a hermeneutic method to interpret the meaning of multicultural values contained in novel texts. The results of the study show that the novel Si Anak Pemberani represents the value of solidarity and social brotherhood through the attitude of mutual cooperation and the collective struggle of the village community in defending the environment. The value of gender eqity is displayed through the character of Eliana who is courageous, critical, and active against injustice. Family values are illustrated through harmonious relationships between family members and the community based on mutual care. Meanwhile, the value of respect for morals is reflected in respect for parents, self-control, and compliance with religious and social norms. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the novel Si Anak Pemberani not only functions as a children's literary work, but also as a medium of character education that instills multicultural values in the life of a pluralistic society.

Abstract

The mastery of English tenses remains a significant challenge for many EFL learners, often exacerbated by traditional, abstract pedagogical methods that contribute to cognitive overload and performance anxiety. This study investigates the efficacy of food-based mnemonic acronyms as a cognitive scaffold to facilitate the learning and retention of grammatical structures. Adopting a qualitative research design, the study employs thematic analysis to examine the cognitive and affective shifts in the learning processes of four university students—BAW, PRN, JMM, and SDK—selected based on their diverse academic backgrounds and challenges with tense acquisition. The thematic analysis reveals that these associative tools function as vital "mental hooks," successfully lowering learners' affective filters and enhancing linguistic retrieval. The findings demonstrate a consistent transition from rote memorization and learning fatigue toward spontaneous, accurate, and organized linguistic production. Ultimately, this research provides empirical evidence that integrating creative, association-based mnemonics into the curriculum can improve grammatical fluency and transform the learning experience from a burdensome task into a structured and engaging cognitive process.
