Abstract

This study examines the conflict dynamics and resolution efforts at the boundary between Bedengung Village and Nyelanding Village in South Bangka triggered by the construction of a palm oil mill in the border area of the two villages in 2023. This conflict demonstrates the complexity of the relationship between village governments in managing resources of directly adjacent areas, especially in the context of economic development that affects the interests of the people in both villages. This study aims to determine the efforts taken by the village government in resolving boundary conflicts to realize a fair and sustainable resolution for all parties involved. Galtung conflict triangle theory is used as a conceptual framework to look the dynamics of the conflict, as well as the resolution approach applied. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, field observations, and analysis of relevant documentation. The results of research showed that there is CSR interest in the boundary conflict between Bedengung Village and Nyelanding Village. There are attitudes in the conflict including elite, community, offensive and defensive attitudes. Destructive behavior in the conflict is manifested in debates and riots during mediation at the Regional Secretariat of South Bangka. There are contradiction due to CSR interests and the unclear boundaries between Bedengung Village and Nyelanding Village. The settlement efforts, through a peacebuilding approach at the deliberation held on April 22, 2024, successfully reached an agreement as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and approved by all parties involved.

Abstract

the 2024 Election. The activity was carried out in partnership with the Tebing village government, Kelapa sub-district, West Bangka Regency. This activity was carried out with the consideration that it is necessary to increase the political knowledge or insight of Tebing residents, especially in the process of elections and regional elections, so that they know and understand what elections and regional elections are. Not only that, this socialization also aims to provide Tebing residents with an understanding of how to deal with issues that have the potential to hinder the implementation of ideal elections such as black campaigns, hoax news, identity politicization and also money politics, as well as other issues. The activities carried out include conducting offline socialization about elections to Tebing Village Residents, Kelapa District, West Bangka Province with the aim that Tebing Village Residents who will later become voters can recognize elections and their objectives properly, know how to vote during elections at polling stations correctly and how to avoid fraud and hoaxes that are spread and react to them wisely so that elections run well.

Abstract

The dynamics of the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Australia which was followed by a trade balance deficit prompted Indonesia to take the initiative to strengthen a comprehensive economic partnership. This is also in line with one of the policy priorities of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2014-2019 period, namely strengthening the economic sector. Therefore, the Government of Indonesia's economic diplomacy efforts are carried out through trade facilitation through trade agreements with partner countries. The Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) is a cooperation agreement scheme that aims to increase trade and investment between the two countries, integrate both bilateral economies, and form a solid foundation in various areas of cooperation. This research uses national interest theory with descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the IA-CEPA cooperation is used as a means to strengthen bilateral relations as well as efforts to achieve economic interests so that they no longer experience a trade balance deficit.

Abstract

Democratic values are contained in the implementation of general elections in which general elections become a forum for citizens to participate in political activities, whether elected or elected without any gender limitations. However, throughout history, women have been a minority group in the political arena because of the assumption that political culture was made specifically for men, so that women who enter politics are seen as going against their nature in the domestic world. To minimize gender bias in policy making in politics, it is necessary to represent women in the smallest units such as village government. This study uses a qualitative research method that uses in-depth analysis with data collection techniques, namely interviews, field notes, drawings, photographs, video recordings and others. In this study it was found that Amnah's victory as the first woman to win the regional election was based on social capital which dominated her political strategy game. By taking advantage of the trust from the community and providing real action in building physical resources that benefit the village, a name recognition is created for her that makes her win the election of village head. In this case Amnah fought against several male candidates in which the candidates' fight lay in the game of economic capital in the form of political transactions involving the candidates and the community. Apart from that, it is a game of symbolic capital (identity) which is used to gain votes or support from certain groups. It was this modality and strategy that made Amnah the winner in the 2022 Election of Padang Baru Village Head.
