Abstract

This study discussed about the role of Aswaja lesson in the efforts of deradicalization.Radicalization had been more and more evolved since after the fallof New Order. Reformation Era opened wide varieties of expression, includedreligious expression. The development of radicalization led to widespread ofsocial unrest. Responses appeared, included using the counter-ideology. Aswajawas believed as being able to prevent the proliferation of radicalization. The datapresented in this article was derived from observation, interview and review ofthe literature related to the topic of writing. The argument developed in this paperis that the reconstruction and actualization of the values contained in Aswajamight be personally internalized firmly. An important strategy that might beapplyed to disseminate and internalize Aswaja is through education. In theschools in which applying Aswaja lesson, students had the opportunity to have amoderate religious understanding and avoid radicalization.***Penelitian ini mengulas tentang peranan pelajaran Aswaja dalam usaha deradikalisasi.Radikalisasi semakin berkembang pasca jatuhnya Orde Baru. EraReformasi membuka lebar berbagai bentuk ekspresi, termasuk ekspresi keberagamaan.Semakin berkembangnya radikalisasi memunculkan keresahan masyarakatsecara luas. Berbagai respons pun muncul, di antaranya melalui counterideologi.Aswaja diyakini dapat mencegah tumbuh suburnya radikalisasi. Datayang disajikan dalam artikel ini berasal dari observasi, wawancara dan telaahliteratur yang berkaitan dengan topik tulisan. Argumen yang dibangun dalamtulisan ini adalah rekonstruksi dan aktualisasi nilai-nilai yang terkandung didalam Aswaja dapat terinternalisasi secara kokoh dalam diri seseorang. Strategipenting yang dapat ditempuh untuk sosialisasi dan internalisasi Aswaja adalahmelalui jalur pendidikan. Di sekolah-sekolah yang mengaplikasi mata pelajaranAswaja, para siswanya memiliki peluang untuk memiliki pemahaman keagamaanyang moderat dan terhindar dari arus radikalisasi.

Abstract

Spiritualism is an inseparable part of human existence. The reduction of this dimension will effect negatively for human existence. This causes the emergence of new phenomenon, or even culture, in the life of modern society. The phenomenon is the increase of their interest in spiritualism. Even though, spiritualism in this context is not always identical with religion. Even, this phenomenon cannot be separated from capitalism. Therefore, the spiritualism that develops recently has various forms, that is, (1) Spiritualism Secularization, (2) Spiritualism Immanence, (3) Spiritualism Libidinalisation, (4) Schizo-spiritualism, (5) Hybridspiritualism, and (6) Techno-spiritualism. Furthermore, there is also another expression of spiritualism, that is, the emergence of new religion or quasi-religion movement. The emergence of this movement is influenced by the effort to release from religious countercultures. Other manifestation of this spiritualism is in the form of fundamentalism movement. In extreme point, this movement can be seen from the emergence of extreme cult, such as those that teach tragic way of death.

Abstract

Rekonstruksi Pancasila dari pemikiran cendekiawan Muslim Nurcholish Madjid memiliki peran penting terhadap penguatan ideologi Pancasila. Pancasila sebagai ideologi negara telah mengalami kemunduran pemahaman dan peran aplikatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Munculnya berbagai persoalan sosial kebangsaan membutuhkan perhatian serius dan penanganan yang melibatkan semua pihak. Salah satu bentuk kontribusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah kontribusi pemikiran dengan merekonstruksi nilai-nilai Pancasila dari pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid. Data yang disajikan berasal dari telaah pustaka dan penelusuran literatur dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Di samping itu, metode analisis kritis dilakukan untuk mengkaji dan merekonstruksi pemikiran-pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid yang telah terpetakan. Argumen yang hendak dibangun adalah rekonstruksi nilai-nilai Pancasila merupakan sarana penting untuk penguatan ideologi Pancasila. Selain itu, pemikiran-pemikiran Pancasila Nurcholish Madjid memiliki relevansi untuk dikembangkan dan disosialisasikan dalam kerangka penguatan ideologi Pancasila. Pancasila reconstruction of Nurcholish Madjid thought has an important role to strengthen the ideology of Pancasila. As the state ideology, Pancasila has suffered a setback understanding and applicative role in daily life. The emergence of various nationalities social issues require serious attention and handling that involves all parties. One form of the contribution that can be done is contribute ideas to reconstruct the values of Pancasila from Nurcholish Madjid thought. The data presented comes from the literature search and review of the literature from a variety of relevant sources. In addition, the method of critical analysis conducted to assess and reconstruct the thoughts that have been mapped Nurcholish Madjid. The argument that will be built is the reconstruction of the values of Pancasila is an important means for strengthening the ideology of Pancasila. Moreover, the ideas of Pancasila Nurcholish Madjid has relevance for developed and disseminated within the framework of the strengthening of the ideology of Pancasila.

Di sekolah-sekolah yang mengaplikasi mata pelajaran Aswaja, para siswanya memiliki peluang untuk memiliki pemahaman keagamaan yang moderat dan terhindar dari arus radikalisasi.

Abstract

Not many Kiai have thoughts about multiculturalism. Kiai M. Sholeh Bahruddin and Kiai Abdullah Syam are considered unique because they have multicultural Islamic thoughts and actualize them in building community harmony. This paper aimed to explore the basis, approach, and channel of Islamic actualization in responding to various challenges. The research method used was the qualitative method with a symbolic interaction approach. The data collection procedures were conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by following the steps suggested by Saldana, Miles, and Huberman (2013). This study found that the basis for the actualization of multicultural Islamic thoughts of Kiai M. Sholeh Bahruddin and Kiai Abdullah Syam was social, humanistic, cultural, religious, and psychological. The approach used was a synergy between religious, moral, psychological, theological, cultural, social, and educational approaches. Meanwhile, the actualization channels used are through social channels, cultural arts, propaganda, social media, silaturrahim (hospitality in Islam), education levels, and scientific meetings.

Abstract

Managing a school to progress requires various efforts and strategies that support each other. It requires hard work, cooperation and optimization from every line. Communication is needed to manage the organization so that the vision and mission can be achieved. Establishing good communication between members of the organization can create a conducive work climate, effective work mechanisms and of course involve all related elements in the organization. With good communication, an institution can run smoothly, successfully and vice versa. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a multi-case design. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles Huberman model of data presentation, data condensation, and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the findings at the research location regarding communication planning in improving teacher performance at SMA Negeri 1 Ngunut are as follows: Communication planning will improve teacher performance if it is carried out at the beginning of each year, incidental and routine planning, with a POAC pattern at every event, thorough problem solving, one way communication and two way communication, individual, group, coaching, and internal school MGMP, formal and informal, large meetings, flexible family communication, mandates, and confirmation of Decree (SK).

Abstract

Tulisan ini mencoba menggali konsep ilmu yang dibayangkan oleh Nasr dan mencoba mengkaji ide-ide dasar struktur keilmuan Nasr yang kemudian sering disebut dengan istilah Scientia Sacra, serta menyoroti sisi ontologis, epistemologis dan aksiologisnya. Hal itu kemudian dikaitkan dengan perkembangan filsafat lingkungan sehingga mendapat aksentuasi kontributif dari pemikiran Nasr tentang filsafat lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berbasis pustaka yang menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analitis dengan pendekatan filosofis kritis. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui dua jenis data, yakni data primer dan data sekunder yang ditentukan oleh tingkat relevansinya dengan subjek penelitian. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah Nasr tidak serta-merta menyalahkan paradigma antroposentris, melainkan ia menunjukkan ‘lubang’ dalam kapal sains modern terhadap paradigma antroposentrisme, yakni pada aspek-aspek tersembunyi dari ilmu pengetahuan yang selama ini dilupakan oleh manusia modern; aspek sakralitas dan spiritualitas. Melalui pemikirannya tentang Scientia Sacra, Nasr memberikan kontribusi terhadap tiga fase paradigma filsafat lingkungan pada nilai onto-teleologis yang baru. Bukan hanya menunjukkan lubang, akan tetapi juga memberikan petunjuk arah demi tujuan baru bagi kajian filsafat lingkungan.Abstract: This article aims to explore the concept of science imagined by Nasr and examine the basic ideas of Nasr's scientific structure, which is often referred to as Scientia Sacra, as well as highlight its ontological, epistemological, and axiological sides. This was then linked to the development of environmental philosophy, so it received a contributory accent from Nasr's thoughts on environmental philosophy. This research is literature-based qualitative research that uses descriptive-qualitative methods. Data analysis techniques are carried out using analytical techniques with a critical philosophical approach. Data collection was obtained through two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data, which were determined by the level of relevance to the research subject. The conclusion of this research is that Nasr does not necessarily blame the anthropocentric paradigm, but rather he shows 'holes' in the ship of modern science regarding the anthropocentrism paradigm, namely the hidden aspects of science that have been forgotten by modern humans: aspects of sacredness and spirituality. Through his thoughts on Scientia Sacra, Nasr contributed to the three phases of the environmental philosophy paradigm on new onto-teleological values. Not only does it show holes, but it also provides directions for new goals for the study of environmental philosophy.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the translation of the Qur'an into Palembang Language, with a focus on Surat An-Naziat. This research uses the perspective of Aesthetic Reception Theory to understand how Palembang language readers translate and receive this sacred text aesthetically. Through a qualitative approach, the author explores readers' aesthetic responses to this translation, covering elements such as the beauty of the language, appropriateness of the cultural context, and compatibility of the meaning with the original. The results of this analysis reveal how the Palembang language translation of Surat An-Naziat created a unique aesthetic experience for its readers, combining the richness of Palembang's language and local wisdom with the religious message of the Qur'an. This research makes an important contribution to understanding the process of translating the Qur'ān into local languages and explores the aesthetic aspects that play a role in fostering a deeper understanding of sacred texts in Palembang society.

Abstract

Gerakan Islam radikal telah hadir dan melebarkan sayap organisasi di Tulungagung. Fenomena ini tampaknya belum mendapatkan respon memadai dari pihak pemerintah daerah. Padahal, eksistensi Islam radikal cukup membahayakan kehidupan sosial kemasyarakatan dalam jangka panjang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan berbagai strategi untuk membendung persebaran ideologi dan gerakan Islam radikal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon para kiai Tulungagung terhadap Islam radikal dan strategi yang dilakukan untuk membendung penyebaran ideologi Islam radikal. Para kiai di Tulungagung memandang bahwa Islam radikal membahayakan bagi kehidupan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Salah satu alasannya karena ideologi Islam radikal mengabsahkan kekerasan. Selain itu, karakteristik mereka yang eksklusif menjadikan eksistensinya sering menjadi masalah bagi masyarakat yang ada di sekitarnya. Pondok Pesantren merupakan salah satu institusi yang memiliki potensi besar untuk melakukan aktivitas deradikalisasi. Langkah yang ditempuh adalah dengan melakukan aktualisasi nilai-nilai pesantren. Aktualisasi nilai-nilai pesantren penting dilakukan karena dengan cara semacam ini diharapkan tumbuh pemahaman dan kesadaran secara luas terhadap keberadaan Islam radikal dan bahayanya bagi kehidupan. Data yang disajikan dalam kajian ini berasal dari wawancara dan observasi terhadap beberapa kiai di Tulungagung. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan kerangka teori deradikalisasi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa para kiai di Tulungagung telah berusaha keras membendung arus Islam radikal ke dalam berbagai usaha deradikalisasi. Usaha para kiai tersebut penting dalam kerangka menghadirkan Islam moderat yang menghargai terhadap pluralitas di masyarakat. The radical Islamic movement has come and expanded its organization in Tulungagung. This phenomenon has seemingly got no adequate response from the local government yet. In fact, its existence has threatened the long term-social life. Therefore, it needs various strategies to stem the spread of radical Islamic ideology and movement. This article is intended to find out the responses of kyai (ulama, experts in Islam) in Tulungagung towards the radical Islam and strategies undertaken to stem the spread of radical Islamic ideology. The kyais in Tulungagung consider that the radical Islam endangers the life of society as a whole. One of the reason is that the ideology endorses violence. In addition, their exclusive characteristics make their existence be a problem for the surrounding people. Islamic boarding school (pondok pesantren) is then taken into account as an institution which has great potential for deradicalization activities. The step done is by actualizing the values of pesantren which is significant to establish broad understanding and awareness on the existence of radical Islam and its dangers for the life. The data presented in this study were collected through interviewing and doing observations to some kyais in Tulungagung. The collected data were subsequently analyzed by using the theorical framework of deradicalisation. The study reveals that kyais in Tulungagung have tried hard to stem the flow of radical Islam through various efforts of deradicalization which are essential to introduce a moderate Islam appreciating the values of plurality in society.

Abstract

This article seeks to elaborate the ma’had al-jami’ah-based religious moderation policy at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. This issue is interesting because religious moderation is a government policy that must be implemented by government institutions, including Islamic religious universities. The problem is that there are no nationally formal technical-operational guidelines for implementation so each tertiary institution has an interpretation for making policies to strengthen religious moderation by their respective contexts and considerations. The current study used in this article is qualitative with data mining techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldańa model which divides the stages of data analysis into data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. This article argues that UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah made interesting policies for religious moderation in the form of madrasah diniyah and ma’had al-jami’ah learning policies. Madrasah diniyah and ma’had al-jami’ah are designed not only as an activity to provide religious knowledge to students but also as a strategy for internalizing religious moderation and prevention of radicalism ideology.
