Abstract

Hibua Lamo is a cultural system that binds communities in North Halmahera.  It is a form of conflict resolution among the communities by harmonizing interests between conflicting groups as well as binding the groups into a new relationship bond.  It was tested by riots of Moluccas, including North Halmahera. This study shows that there is a difference context of emergence between Habermass thought and local knowledge of Hibua Lamo. However, based on the Habermass perspective of communication ratio, Hibua Lamo at least get the spirit to a new birth. Based on the new understanding, Hibua Lamo now exists to rely on communicative ratio which is able to withstand annexation of market system and the state, and also to tie the communities in North Halmahera through peace consensus. Keywords: Hibua Lamo, Jürgen Habermas, local knowledge, communicative ratio.

Abstract

Indonesia has a variety of dining customs. Traditions that can be mentioned, among others Makan Patita in Ambon, Makan Basamo in Padang, Megibung in Bali, Bancakan in Bandung, and Orom Sasadu in Sahu, West Halmahera. This paper aimes to raise the meaning in the traditional dining custom (Orom Sasadu) organized by the Sahu tribe community in West Halmahera, North Maluku. This paper uses a qualitative approach that describes Sasadu's cultural background in Sahu including Orom Sasadu tradition and explores the meaning contained in it. This paper will begin with a general description of the area of West Halmahera where the Sahu tribe lives, be followed by Sasadu's historical background as a traditional house which is the characteristic of the Sahu culture, Sasadu’s architecture, and put forward a few point of views on dining together in a cultural perspective to enrich the paper, and be ended by presenting the Orom Sasadu tradition or traditional dining custom held in Sasadu and its meaning for the Sahu tribe community. This paper concludes that the Sasadu Orom tradition has at least 5 (five) meanings, such as: becoming a venue for enforcing rules that culminate in peace; reinforcing social relations of brotherhood; strengthening the protecting social structure; becoming moral education for the community; and reinforcing the pattern of human relations, especially the Sahu tribe community with its natural environment.

Abstract

Himbauan mengikuti vaksinasi melalui pengeras suara gereja, 3). Melakukan sosialisasi lewat media luar ruangan tentang taat protokol kesehatan 5M. Seperti pemasangan spanduk taat protokol kesehatan 5M.

Abstract

Nusaniwe Student Association (IKAMAPENUSA) in Ambon City is an organization formed on the initiative of several educational figures from Negeri Nusaniwe (in Ambon City; the village is referred to as Negeri) with the aim of helping to develop the role of students in developing themselves, both in terms of academics and organizations. Observing the dynamics of plagiarism among students, the Stimulus Community Partnership Program (PKMS) team from Indonesia Christian University (UKIM) of Maluku, Ambon, took the initiative to approach IKAMAPENUSA to discuss issues related to their assignments as students. From the results of the discussion, it appears that there are a lot of problems they face, for example: (1) Lack of direction from teachers and lecturers related to the tasks assigned; (2) Lack of knowledge on how to look for good, well-categorized scientific literature; (3) lack of mastery of paraphrasing techniques; (4) lack of mastery of scientific writing techniques required by universities and schools; (5) Lack of mastery of technology related to quotations and bibliography such as Mendeley. The output of this activity has been published in Mimbar Rakyat News electronic mass media (http://mimbarrakyatnews.com/tim-pkms-ukim-gelar-penulisan-karya-ilmiah-bebas-plagiat-2/), and the video of activities has been uploaded to YouTube channel of UKIM TV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg-Cqn0-zao).
