Abstract

Every plant rhizospheres in any ecosystem there are various living microorganisms including Arbuscular Mycorrhizae Fungi (AMF). An isolation and characterization is required to investigate the species or type of the AMF. This research was aimed at studying the isolation and characterization of AMF sporulation in soybean rhizospheres in Jambi Province. The results of evaluation on soil samples before trapping showed that there are spores from three genus of AMF twelve types Glomus , two types Acaulospora and one type of Enthrophospora. Following single spore culture in soybean rhizosphere, 5 spore types were obtained: Glomus sp-1, Glomus sp-4, Glomus sp-7, Glomus sp-8 Glomus sp-10.

Abstract

Efforts to increase rice (Oryza sativa) production by farming communities in Pudak Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency still partly depend on the use of inorganic fertilizers. An alternative to increasing production that is safe and environmentally friendly is the use of biosaccharide elicitors made from organic materials. This needs to be socialized to farmers regarding the use of biosaka made from weeds, some of which are still unknown to farmers in Pudak Village. This activity began with a discussion meeting with the head of the farmer group, the Plant Pest Organism Control Officer (POPT) to look at problems in the farmers' rice fields and continued with land observations. Then socialization was carried out to the community and continued with the practice of making biosaka and implementation in rice fields in Pudak Village. The results of this activity show that farmers are very enthusiastic about all activities from manufacture to application on the land. There were 45 participants who attended and were active until the end of the activity. The follow-up activities showed farmers practicing how to make it in their respective groups. The results of monitoring and evaluation have proven that the biosaka elicitor has been successfully produced by farmers independently as much as 30 L. The application results show a positive and better plant response compared to plots where biosaka was not applied.

Abstract

Ekoenzim yang diperkaya dengan cangkang telur akan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pemberian ekoenzim plus terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan bibit kopi Liberika Tungkal Komposit di polybag. Pelaksanaan percobaan dilakukan di Teaching and Research Farm Faperta Unja selama 4 bulan dimulai tanggal 04 Agustus 2023 - 27 November 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan satu faktor yaitu pemberian ekoenzim plus yang terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan perlakuan yaitu: p0 = Tanpa pemberian ekoenzim plus + 100% pupuk anorganik, p1 = 5% ekoenzim plus + 50% pupuk anorganik, p2 = 10% ekoenzim plus + 50% pupuk anorganik, p3 = 15% ekoenzim plus + 50% pupuk anorganik, p4 = 20% ekoenzim plus + 50% pupuk anorganik dan p5 = 25% ekoenzim plus + 50% pupuk anorganik. Variabel yang diamati meliputi pertambahan tinggi bibit, pertambahan diameter batang, luas daun total, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar, dan rasio tajuk akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) pemberian ekoenzim plus berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi bibit dan bobot kering akar bibit kopi Liberika, 2) Pemberian ekoenzim plus dengan konsentrasi 5% + 50% pupuk anorganik menghasilkan bibit kopi Liberika Tungkal Komposit yang terbaik. Kata kunci : Fermentasi, Pupuk Anorganik, Ultisol

Abstract

Edamame is a vegetable commodity whose export demand is currently increasing, while its productivity is still below its potential yield. Therefore, to meet export needs, it is necessary to increase productivity by applying boiler ash, which can improve soil fertility and increase the availability of nutrients in the soil. Research aimed at increasing the growth and yield of edamame by applying various doses of boiler ash was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, at an altitude of 35 meters above sea level. The research used a one-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with various doses of boiler ash, consisting of 0 tonha-1; 5 tonha-1; 10 tonha-1; 15 tonha-1; and 20 tonha-1. Each treatment was replicated 5 times. The research results showed that the application of boiler ash was able to increase plant height, the number of young pods per plant, the weight of young pods per plant, the weight of 100 young pods per plant, and edamame production per hectare. A boiler ash dose of 20 tonha-1 resulted in the highest edamame growth and yield.
