Abstract

Pepesaat dance performance is one of the dance performances that began to develop in modern society such as Makassar. In the quality of performance, the role of the organization becomes important to be able to continue to develop following the changing times and the needs of society. Sanggar Sirajuddin Gowa is famous for the Pepe-pepe'Baine dance which is often performed at various events as a means of entertainment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the recruitment process of Pepe' Baine dancers at Sanggar Sirajuddin Gowa. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive case study approach with interview, observation, and questionnaire data collection techniques. The results of the analysis showed that the process of recruiting dancers by Sanggar Sirajuddin was not specific but went naturally which made the Sanggar Leadership assess the feasibility of becoming a Pepe-pepe dancer. This is one of the reasons the number of dancers is only 9 people to date.

Abstract

Persaingan dunia kerja yang semakin ketat menyebabkan setiap individu berupa untuk menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik dengan memiliki keterampilan untuk mengisi peluang dunia kerja. Upaya peningkatan mutu diri sebagai pemenuhan dunia kerja juga dilakukan oleh masyarakat disabilitas. Salah satu karakteristik masyarakat disabilitas yang memiliki modal dasar untuk menggeluti dunia kerja adalah tunarungu. Keterampilan yang telah diasah berpotensi memberikan peluang bagi tunarungu untuk menempati posisi pekerjaan di bidang seni khususnya seni rupa dan  desain. Batik merupakan salah satu karya seni rupa. Sanggar Seni Disabilitas Sipakatau merupakan sanggar seni yang memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan berkesenian bagi masyarakat disabilitas, salah satunya tunarungu. Tunarungu di sanggar seni tersebut telah memiliki beragam pengalaman berkesenian khususnya sendratasik (seni drama, tari dan musik) dan memiliki potensi untuk menempati posisi pekerjaan di bidang seni. Namun pada bidang seni rupa, masyaarakat disabilitas tunarungu di sangar seni tersebut belum memperoleh pengalaman bidang seni rupa khusunya batik. Maka diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat disabilitas khususnya tunarungu di Sanggar Seni Disabilitas Sipakatau melalui pelatihan batik tulis di Fakultas Seni dan Desain Universitas Negeri Makassar. Pelaksanaan pelatihan batik tulis bagi tunarungu Sanggar Seni Disabilitas Sipakatau bertujuan memberikan pemahaman tentang konsep batik dan keterampilan membuat batik tulis. Metode pelaksnaan pelatihan batik tulis bagi tunarungu Sanggar Seni Disabilitas Sipakatau di Fakultas Seni dan Desain Universitas Negeri Makassar meliputi ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, praktik dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan pelatihan disertai penerjemah bahasa isyarat untuk memudahkan berkomunikasi dengan peserta. Pelatihan tersebut diikuti 17 tunarungu dengan rentang usia 19 – 23 Tahun. Peserta memperoleh pengalaman dalam membuat batik. Peserta memahami dan memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat batik tulis mulain dari proses pembuatan desain pada kertas, pemindahan desain, pelilinan atau mencanting, pewarnaan dan pelorodan atau pelepasan lilin dari kain. Keterampilan tersebut kelak dapat diaplikasi untuk memproduksi batik tulis

Abstract

Abstrak Dance training in schools is one of the basics of learning in cultivating the talent and capacity of stunt actors, and dance learning is very important, considering that dance learning underlines the course of training in developing character which includes coaches and stunt performers and can build the imagination of stunt development for children. normal children as well as for children who have physical or mental disabilities who meet the requirements for dance learning. The aim of this research is to examine the creative dance movements of blind students who use the storytelling learning model in dance learning, as well as the process of incorporating this model into dance learning. This research uses a subjective methodology using fascinating investigative techniques. The subjects in this review were 2 people, namely fourth grade students, the school principal, and the homeroom teacher. Observation, interviews, tests, and documentation are data collection methods. The findings of this research are as follows: the narrative learning model with increased narration in dance learning is very useful in creating dance development imaginations for blind students in the dance experience.
