Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find out about "Teacher Strategies in Developing Love of theMotherland in History Subjects of Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak". The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data sources of this study were History subject teachers and students of Class XI Science. Data collection techniques observation techniques, interviews, and documentation, while the data collection tools used observation guides, interview guides, anddocumentation. The analysis in this study was  in a descriptive qualitative manner using 6 informants. The results of this that the strategy implemented carried out through learning activities by implementing role models, routine activities, conditioning activities and spontaneous activities. The strategy a good impact on student character with supporting factors from the teacher, school and motivation of students. There inhibiting a sense of love of the motherland in students difficult at the time of application and also things that are technical. The teacher's strategy in developing homeland love in the history subjects of class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak has been considered good.Keywords: Teacher Strategy, Homeland Love, History

Abstract

AbstractThis research is an experimental study which aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of discovery learning models in social studies learning for seventh grade students of Pontianak Mujahidin Middle School. The background in this study is that when learning takes place many students feel bored and sleepy in class so that the learning outcomes look less satisfying. This is seen from the value of the daily test of students of class VII who are still many who have not reached the KKM 75. The method used in this study is the experimental method, the research design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The data sources in this study were all seventh grade students of Pontianak Mujahidin Middle School and the values of the pretest, posttest students. From the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the students' learning outcomes before applying the Discovery Learning learning model are low in average values of 51.45 and the percentage of completeness is only 7.14%. While the learning outcomes of students who apply the Discovery Learning learning model on average is 78.61 and the completeness percentage is 71.43%. The effectiveness of discovery learning is 1.95 and is high. So it can be seen that by applying discovery learning learning models can improve student learning outcomes and are very effective to apply. Keywords:    Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomes, Social Studies Subject

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the opinion of history education students to local history learning in the history education program at the FKIP Tanjungpura University. The method used is a survey method with qualitative research. The sources in this study was representatives of history education students who have taken local history courses and lecturers who support local history courses. Data collection techniques used were interview techniques, questionnaire techniques (Google forms), and documents. The results obtaining in this study are (1) students' perceptions to local historical material sources are quite good. Because, the source of the material using accord with the material presented. (2) learning planning is still not good enough. Because lecturer dosen’t make semester learning plans as he should. (3) Students' perceptions to the application of local history learning are not good. Because the lecturer doesn’t effective of lerning method, and he’s always conveys the same material in several meetings. (4) Students' perceptions regarding the evaluation of local history learning are quite good. Because the lecturer give assignments and conclusions individually at the end of the meeting. Keywords: Local History Learning, Historical Education Study Program, Student Perception

Abstract

AbstractIndonesia is widely known as a multicultural country. This very complex diversity makes Indonesia a culturally diverse country. Multiculturalism in Indonesia should put aside SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and between groups). Therefore, a multicultural understanding of diversity must always be applied in the learning process. Through historical education which is related to the formation of national character by prioritizing different cultural values. This study aims to find out and get accurate information about the cultivation of multicultural values education at SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak. This research used qualitative research method with sampling purposive technique. The results showed that cultivation of multicultural values education has been applied in the learning process through historical education by inserting multicultural-based values can create the harmony and communion outside and inside the school environment and the high tolerance attitude of students and other school members.Keywords : Multicultural, Historis Learning, Education
