Abstract

ABSTRACT Accurate and complete nursing documentation plays an important role in ensuring the quality of nursing care and patient safety. However, adherence to documentation standards among nurses often remains a challenge that affects the overall quality of medical records and clinical interventions. This study was conducted to map research trends and factors affecting compliance in nursing documentation through a bibliometric analysis approach. The main objective of this study was to identify the main topics, key factors, as well as emerging publication trends related to nursing documentation compliance over the past few years. This study used the Publish or Perish application to collect 50 scientific articles published between 2016 and 2024, with keywords such as "compliance", "completeness", and "nursing care documentation". The data obtained was then analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize the bibliometric network based on the keywords that appeared in the literature. Through Network Visualization, Overlay Visualization, and Density Visualization, this study identified the main keywords such as "completeness", "motivation", "knowledge", and "compliance" that were most frequently discussed in related studies. The results of the analysis showed that documentation completeness and its influencing factors, such as nurse motivation and knowledge, are the main focus in the documentation compliance literature. In addition, the publication trend shows a significant increase in 2020 and 2021, most likely related to the COVID-19 pandemic situation that drives increased attention to the quality of documentation in healthcare. The conclusion of this study shows that adherence in nursing documentation, specifically related to the completeness, motivation, and knowledge of nurses, is an important topic that continues to grow in research. Although technologies such as electronic medical records are also relevant, the focus of research seems to be more on behavioral factors that influence documentation quality. This study provides guidance for researchers to identify gaps in the literature that could be further explored, especially in the development of more effective and integrated documentation systems. Keywords: Compliance, Completeness, Nursing Care Documentation, Motivation, Knowledge

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research on patient satisfaction in hospital inpatient rooms is one of the main focuses in efforts to improve the quality of health services. Understanding the factors that influence patient satisfaction is crucial for policy makers and healthcare practitioners. Although various studies have been conducted, the global map of this research trend is still not clearly depicted. This study aims to fill this gap by conducting a bibliometric analysis of the literature related to patient satisfaction in hospitals, using a visualization approach to provide deeper insights into the dynamics of research in this area. The method used involved data collection of scholarly articles from 2014 to 2024 using Google Scholar's Publish or Perish application. A total of 50 articles were selected based on relevance to keywords such as Patient Satisfaction, Inpatient Room, Satisfaction Factors, Hospital, and Health Services. This data was then analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize the relationship between various elements in the literature through network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization. This approach mapped research trends, identified key clusters, and showed collaboration patterns and dominant topics. The results show that service quality and patient satisfaction are the main focus in the literature. Research clusters showed significant attention to basic aspects of healthcare such as hospital care and facilities, while demographic aspects and specific determinants were less explored. Citation analysis showed that articles providing comprehensive reviews or practical models received more attention. In addition, the density visualization revealed the dominance of quality of care aspects, but also showed the potential for further research on topics such as technological innovation and the impact of health policy. The conclusions of this study show that although much research has been conducted, there are still significant research gaps that can be further explored. This study maps global trends in patient satisfaction studies, and provides guidance for researchers to focus on less explored areas, thereby contributing to the improvement of healthcare quality in hospitals. Keywords: Patient Satisfaction, Service Quality, Hospital, Bibliometric Analysis.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a major global health problem and a leading risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Although effective antihypertensive medications are widely available, poor medication adherence remains a significant challenge in achieving optimal blood pressure control, particularly among productive-age patients. Objective: This scoping review aimed to identify and synthesize evidence on the determinants of medication adherence among productive-age hypertensive patients (aged 18–59 years) in primary care settings. Methods: The review followed the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) framework and the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar for articles published between 2016 and 2026. Studies involving productive-age participants (18–59 years) that examined determinants of adherence to antihypertensive medication were included. Results: A total of 14 studies met the inclusion criteria. The findings revealed that medication adherence among productive-age hypertensive patients was influenced by multiple factors, including sociodemographic characteristics (age, education, economic status), self-efficacy, health literacy, treatment-related factors (regimen complexity, side effects), healthcare system support (effective communication, counseling), social support, and digital health interventions (mobile applications, electronic reminders). Conclusion: Medication adherence among productive-age hypertensive patients is a multidimensional behavior. Comprehensive, integrated strategies are required, including patient education, enhancing self-efficacy and health literacy, simplifying treatment regimens, strengthening communication with healthcare providers, and using technology-based interventions to improve long-term adherence and blood pressure control.

Abstract

In 2022, the evaluation of the Family Intervention Program in Indonesia’s public health sector showed a realization rate of 45.14% of the 50% target. This highlights the need to strengthen human resources to improve program performance. This meta-analysis examined the effects of leadership, competence, and work environment on the performance of health service employees in Indonesia. A total of 1,798 studies were identified, and 13 met inclusion criteria using the PRISMA method and were appraised with the JBI instrument. Data were analyzed using JASP 0.17.2.1 to estimate effect sizes via forest and funnel plots. Results indicated that leadership (p < 0.001; ES = 0.195), competence (p < 0.001; ES = 0.223), and work environment (p = 0.008; ES = 0.228) each significantly affected employee performance. The work environment had the largest overall influence. Strengthening these factors is essential to enhance the performance of Indonesia’s health workforce.

Abstract

Tuberculosis in young children is influenced by environmental conditions and household hygiene practices, as this age group has an underdeveloped immune system. This study aims to examine the association between housing conditions—such as lighting, ventilation, and housing density—and hygiene practices and healthy lifestyles with the incidence of tuberculosis in toddlers. A case-control study was conducted involving 42 participants (21 cases and 21 controls) in the service area of the Martapura 2 Community Health Center. Data were collected through home observations, interviews with parents, and direct measurements, and analyzed using chi-square or Fisher’s exact tests and logistic regression. The results showed that poor hygiene and healthy lifestyle practices (p = 0.026; OR = 5.667) and inadequate lighting (p = 0.045; OR = 5.455) were significantly associated with tuberculosis incidence among toddlers. Multivariate analysis identified hygiene and healthy living practices as the most dominant factor (p = 0.031; Exp(B) = 4.978), while lighting showed a near-significant association (p = 0.055; Exp(B) = 4.692). Housing density and ventilation were not significantly associated with tuberculosis incidence. These findings highlight the importance of improving household hygiene practices and ensuring adequate lighting as key strategies to reduce the risk of tuberculosis in toddlers.
