Abstract

ABSTRACT                The research on was conducted in February until March 2019 in Koto Baru sub-District, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra Province.Its was aimed to find out how the elements of the fisheriesextension activities and how thefish farmerbusiness motivation and than how the relationship of elements of the fisheriesextension activities with thefish farmerbusiness motivation. The method used in this study is the survey method which is analyzed using Rank Spearman and the number of respondents in this study were 30 respondents.               From the results of the research, it was found that theelements of the fisheries extension activitieswas seen from an indicator of the extension workers, counseling material, a method of counseling, the media counseling, and frequency counseling are categorized efective with a total score2.088, and tofish farmer business motivation was seen from an indicator of motive, expectation, and incentive are categorized high with a total score 1.271. Have a real relationship and significan between elements of the fisheriesextension activities withfish farmer business motivation, relationships real are value a correlation coefficient 0.932**, it means having value the relationship overpowering. Value correlation between elements of the fisheries extension activities with the fish farmer business motivation valuable (+), it means direction relationship parallel, so that it can be concluded that elements of the fisheries extension activities have relationship on the level of  the fish farmer business motivation  Keywords: Relationship, elements of the extension activities, business motivation, fish farmer.

Abstract

Research was conducted In of Bukit Batu District Bengkalis Regency Riau Province April 2014. This study aimed to find out the characteristics of the fishermen and contribution level given by the household’s members. Method used in this research is survey method by observing and collecting data through interviews ith fishermen of bukit batu district, equipped with a questionnaire (a list of questions), 34 fishermen respondents comprised 8 owners and 26 workers.The characteristics of fishermen observed were age 38 - 45 years old, formal eduction taken was 6 years (elentary school graduates only), with working experience of 25 years, household’s incomes of IDR 2.078.000. Contribution level of households for fishermen (owner) was 84,34% husbands, 2,86% wives, and 12,8% children. Meanwhile, contribution level of household member for fishermen (worker) was 62,46% husbans, 19,67% wives, and 17,87% children.Keywords: Contribution, households, earnings.

Abstract

This study was conducted in August 2015 located in the village Sungai Paku Subsdistrict Kampar Kiri District Kampar the Province Riau. Research aims to: 1) explain the differences in the means of production (input supply) of owned members of the group farming and non the farmers to cultivator of the; 2) explained the difference in the number and value of production owned members of the group farming and non the farmers; and 3) explain the differences in the cost and income owned members of the group farming and non the farmers to cultivator.Methods used in research it will be a method of survey to the determination of the respondents in proportional sampling.Based on research results obtained, it can be argued that there is no difference the use of production facilities (seeds and feed) owned by cultivator of the that in groups with cultivator of the non groups at a venture the cultivation of fish system buoyant cages net village in the Sungai Paku subsdistrict Kampar Kiri district Kampar. Then, there is a difference production average and the resulting cultivator of the production, where cultivator of the in groups produce production more than cultivator of the non groups farming.This is causing differences in net income average produced cultivator of the, a cultivator of the in groups produce income more than cultivator of the non groups farming.Keywords: comparison, input supply, income

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The research was conducted in June-July 2017 in Koto Tinggivillage. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of different types of languages and music illustrations to the level of knowledge of Aquaculturer in audio extension media in Koto Tinggivillage Koto Besar District Dhamasraya Regency West Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is the experimental method.The extension was done once and was attended by 20 audients. The pre test and post test marks were then compared.     The results showed that: a) Fisheries extension in Dhamasraya District amounted to 3 people, so far the extension activities always use conventional methods such as: lecture method and media leaflet, while audio media has never been used; b) based on the results of statistical tests and observations, the differences in the type of language and music illustrations contained in audio counseling media conducted in Nagari Koto Tinggi can affect the knowledge level of fish farmers in Nagari Koto Tinggi; c) the percentage difference between pre test and post test results in audio with Minang language and music of Minang 33,3%, bigger than pre test result and post test in audio with Indonesian language and Pop music (Indonesia) which is 25%. The conclusion of this research is the difference of language and type of music in media of audio extension can influence the knowledge level of fish farmer. Audio extension media using Minang language and Minang music illustration is more effective in increasing knowledge of fish farmers in Nagari Koto TinggiKeywords: Extension Methods, Fisheries Extension, Audio-visual Media.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted on February 2018 located at Kajuik Lake, Langgam Sub District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. The location of this study is determined deliberately with the consideration that this location has a fisherman community in supporting the husband's economy assisted by members of the household. This study aims to find out Knowing the characteristics of fishermen, fishermen's wife and fishermen, Knowing the contribution of household members in the fishery sector or non-fishery sector to household income of fishermen and See the difference of income before and after the change of lake management from indigenous peoples to the government to income fishermen in Lake Kajuik. The method used in this study is the survey method with respondents amounted to 10 fishermen, where Determination of respondents is determined by the technique chosen purposely (purposive sampling). The characteristics of fisherman, fisherman's wife and fisherman's son in this study are: a) age, b) number of dependents c) work experience and d) level of education, contribution of household members, contribution contribution provided by fisherman is very high while contribution from wife is low and contribution from middle-aged children, and experienced income difference before and after management change from average of fisherman's income Rp 2,946,634 / month to Rp 1,396,634 / month or there is income difference Rp. 1.550.000 / month. The contribution of household members of fishermen of Kajuik lake are 48,31% fisherman, fisherman's wife 19,47% and fisherman's son 32,47%. Keywords: Household Income, Contributions, Lake Kajuik.

Abstract

This research was conducted on December 2015 at Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Rambung Merah Simalungun District of North Sumatera Province. This research purposed were : 1) To identify the role of BBI Rambung Merah in the development of aquaculture 2) To identify function of BBI Rambung Merah in the development of aquaculture 3) To know the contribution of BBI Rambung Merah in suplying the seed of fish. The Method used for this research was survey method, with 15 respondents. There are head of BBI Rambung Merah, technician of BBI Rambung Merah and farmers of fish.The results indicated that BBI Rambung Merah will work when carrying out the role and function well. The role that is run and should be maintained such as : Science and technology center of aquaculture, the training and extension center of fisheries, provider seed of fresh water fish, the connector between the goverment and farmers of fish. Mean while, the function that should be run and must be mantained such as : the implementation control and coordination of the production and distribution, the implementation of the guidance operational and the production technicial of the fish seed, the increasing and keeping of the quantity and quality of fresh water fish seed, the administrative management of BBI Rambung Merah, the application of conservation resources of fish and techniques to control pests and diseases, to do a partnership and to control the activity of UPR. Abstract

 Abstract This research aims to know the conditions of fishermen and the fishing household strategy in the face of poverty. This research was carried out in April 2017 which is located in Teluk Kabung Selatan Bungus Teluk Kabung District of West Sumatra Province. The methods used in this research is a survey method with the total number of respondents as many as 30 people and the determination of the respondents conducted in simple random sampling. The condition of the fishing households experiencing poverty can be seen from the large amount of dependent families, home ownership status, the amount of expenditure that is greater than the amount of income received, and factors causing poverty that isfishing technology still traditional by using the machine ships with robin 5 Power Horse, owes the habit and isolate area geographically causes high costs incurred to make ends meet. Strategies used by fishermen in the face of poverty is by optimizing the labor of family members such as spouses and children, diversified jobs such as working on the peasants, workers and interisland transport service providers, as well as utilize loans to relatives in the family or neighbors. Keywords: household condition, strategy, fisherman, poverty, Teluk Kabung Selatan.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The aim of these resesrch were characteristics of fish farmers, motivation of cultivator, and corelation of characteristics wich motivation to try fish farmers floating net cages. The research was conducted in march, 2018. The method use in this reaserch with survey method. The respondens taken in this reasearch was 30 people, this research shows the carakteristics of fish farmers, age on produktive categories, education in the medium category, capital in the low category, income in the high category, number of dependents in low category, high category busness experience, the number of working hours is high category. Overall fish farmers motivation is high and charakteristik with motivation show a significant effect on income, capital, number of hours worked, and the eexsperience of busines relates to the opposite. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is about social capital of fisherman communities in Kampung Nelayan Seberang Belawan Iof North Sumatera Provincehas been done in Apri-Mey 2018. The purpose of this research is to find out social capital structures, functions of social capital, and mechanisms of social capital maintenance of fisherman communities in Kampung Nelayan Seberang. The research method used is Case Study Method by researching the status of research subjects. The sampling technique used is the snowball sampling technique that is initially small and then enlarged with the number of informants that are not determined and stopped after the research informations isconsidered already enough.             The results showed that are five types of capital, natural capital, human capital, physical capital, financial capital and social capital. Social capital has an important role in bonding relations between fishermen, without of social capital, other capital cannot be accessed because social capital is the capital whitchmoving other capital. The social capital structure, has a participation in a networks, resiprocitys, trusts, norms, values, and proactive actions in good condition. Such functions of social capital solve problems, unite and build participations. Maintenance of social capital by uniting social solidarity, making rules, balance and proactive actions.Keywords: Social Capital, Communities Fisherman, Fisherman Village.

Abstract

This research was conduted on 5 to 12 June 2013 in Ranah Village, sub-regent of Kampar that located in regent of Kampar Riau. This research was determined purposively with survey methode. Number of cultivators of Kelemak Fish were 30 of 125 populations taken as the respondent with random sampling. The Adoption Rank for Kalemak Cultvators was in medium category, and  Technology adoption Package has been match was medium too because the cultivators havent been used all technology package from stakeholder because that technology so hard to implemented. The suggested Package of the research was location and lay out selection, design, clean of device and tool. The purpose of this study was to collect and analyze information on: characteristics of fish farmers in cages fish floating cultivation both internal and external, to measure adoption level of fish farming in floating cages, analyze the relationship between the farmer characteristic with rate adoption by use coefficient test Spearman rank correlation, and describe the diffusion accelaration procest occured in village of domains. For the diffusion accelaration of the cultivator in Ranah Village have classified low adoption that consist of poor population, low education, no update information more and relation with the stakeholder.   Keyword : Adoption , Aquaculture in cages, Leptobarbus hoevanii
