Abstract

The development of information technology is increasing rapidly from time to time, information technology can be felt directly by humans and has experienced significant changes in several sectors of life. One form of progress in the field of information technology is the Internet of Things (IoT) platform. Agriculture is an important sector for people's lives. Hydroponics is a method in agriculture that can cultivate plants without the need for land, but uses water and nutrient solutions as a planting medium. This hydroponic cultivation has many advantages including more practical maintenance and more controlled pest disturbances, does not depend on natural conditions, and can be done on limited land. To optimize agricultural products, farmers need to get nutritional conditions, solution pH and temperature in real time to be able to make the right decisions for what crops to plant. The process of decreasing the temperature from 360 Celsius to 340 Celsius lasts ± 3 minutes. And the provision of plant nutrition is carried out by order through the Blynk application.

Abstract

This research was made so that the school can easily select new students who are running as students in a school. This selection is done based on the criteria that have been determined by the school. To solve this problem, a decision support system is needed using the Multi-Objective Optimization Method on The Basic of Ratio Analysis (MOORA). this method is also quite easy to use and the results are good by obtaining the best value of 0.2296 with alternative A1 and followed by alternative A5 with a preference value of 0.1383. So that the decision support system by applying the MOORA method can solve problems in the selection of new students who are accepted or declared graduated with a systematic and precise selection. The MOORA method can also be used in people who really need it

Abstract

Floods are among the natural disasters that can cause substantial damage, particularly in tourist locations with high visitor traffic. This paper proposes the implementation of an IoT-based predictive method for early flood disaster warnings in tourist areas. The proposed system utilizes IoT sensors to monitor environmental conditions in real-time and employs machine learning-based predictive models to forecast the likelihood of flooding. By continuously collecting and analyzing data such as rainfall, river water levels, and soil moisture, the system can predict potential flood events with a relatively high degree of accuracy. The research involved developing and testing the system in a controlled environment to evaluate its performance. The results demonstrated that the system could provide timely early warnings, allowing tourist site managers to take necessary preventive measures to protect visitors and infrastructure. The implementation of such a system can significantly reduce the impact of floods by providing actionable information well in advance of potential disasters. This early warning capability is crucial in tourist areas where rapid response is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors. Overall, the study highlights the effectiveness of combining IoT technology with predictive analytics in disaster management and risk mitigation

Abstract

The door security system using fingerprint is one of the many systems that is often used to add a level of security to school, home and other doors. The door system uses fingerprints as a medium to read or identify so that the door can be opened. Automatic doors with a fingerprint recognition system are a modern solution for securing access to various locations. The implementation of Fuzzy Logic in this tool is used to provide a delay time of 3 seconds in the open state based on the number of fingerprints attached. Arduino Uno functions as the main controller that integrates the fingerprint module and door actuator. The result of this research is a door security system tool that applies a fuzzy logic algorithm and includes a hardware and software design process, including integration of electronic components and development of a fingerprint verification algorithm. Implementation The experimental method is used to test the reliability of the system in user recognition and access. Experimental results show that the system can identify users with high accuracy and provide a fast response in operating the automatic door. The practical contribution of this research is the development of automatic door technology that can be applied in various contexts to increase user safety and comfort.

Abstract

Kemajauan teknologi informasi terkhusus kepada teknologi kecerdasan buatan/AI dapat membawa dampak yang sangat signifikan dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan seperti pendidikan dan pemerintahan. Adapun tujuan dilaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan pelatihan penggunaan kecerdasan buatan/AI sebagai media informasi di Kantor Lurah Mangga kota Medan. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman kepada pegawai kelurahan terhadap pemanfaatab kecerdasan buatan/AI, praktek penggunaan ChatGPT maupun Gemini AI. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan pegawai kelurahan Mangga kota Medan dapat memanfaatkan teknologi kecerdasan buatan/AI sebagai salah satu inovasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik yang adaptif dan berbasis teknologi sebagai media informasi.

Abstract

The Winnowing Algorithm is a system built to determine the similarity of the title of a proposed thesis with previously existing thesis titles, so it is necessary to apply an algorithm to determine the similarity of titles. One of the algorithms for determining the similarity of titles is the Winnowing algorithm. The Winnowing algorithm is a method used to detect similar words/sentences (common subsequence) in two thesis titles being compared. Two thesis titles are known to have the same words / sentences if a fingerprint is found in the document, this fingerprint will be used as a basis for comparison between thesis titles, this algorithm will look for fingerprints (similarities in the two thesis titles) by changing the n-gram of the title into the form The number value is called a hash value, the technique for finding this value is hashing. The research results show that the winnowing algorithm is proven to be effective in detecting similarities in thesis titles in information systems study programs with a threshold of 10%. The system built is able to provide accurate and fast results in identifying similarities in thesis titles, and this system really helps students in finding topics that are original and have never been researched before. Apart from that, the supervisor can easily verify the similarity of the thesis title to avoid plagiarism.

Abstract

Being a teacher will of course often be involved in evaluating students. This is done as a reference to see to what extent the students understand the material that has been presented by the teacher. When conducting evaluations, teachers usually have difficulty processing or correcting answers that have been done by their students. Moreover, with a large number of students, of course it will take up a lot of time if done manually. For this reason, a tool is needed that can help with the performance of teachers. The aim of this research is to provide knowledge and direct training for teachers at SDS Alwasliyah 26 Kp.Bahari. starting from designing the display, inputting student data and answer results as well as knowing the formulas needed for direct calculation of the grades obtained from the students' final exam results. From the results of the training carried out, the teachers were very enthusiastic about following it both in explaining the material until the training was carried out so that teachers were able to use Microsoft Excel to process data both to correct exam results and student grades at SDS Alwasliyah 26 Kp.Bahari. This allows for more accurate and efficient data processing, resulting in better outcomes for students..

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology with great potential to enhance the quality of life through inter-device connectivity. One of the rapidly growing implementations of IoT is the smart home, aimed at creating more efficient, secure, and comfortable living spaces. This community service initiative seeks to improve public understanding and skills related to the application of IoT in smart homes. The training involves students, lecturers, and community members interested in smart home technology. Using a combined approach of theory and practice, participants are trained to design and implement IoT-based solutions, not only for household needs but also for other sectors, such as industry and agriculture. The training equips participants not only with fundamental knowledge about IoT but also with practical skills in using various IoT platforms such as Arduino and Arduino Cloud. Participants are also introduced to various IoT components, including sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers used in smart home systems. By the end of the training, participants are expected to apply IoT technology in their daily lives and develop innovative solutions to create more efficient and secure smart homes. Additionally, the training aims to increase awareness and technological literacy among the community while fostering creativity and the ability to develop IoT applications that can provide long-term benefits for daily life and industrial sectors.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) technology plays a significant role in enhancing environmental efficiency and comfort, including in supporting teaching and learning activities. This community service program aimed to design and implement an IoT-based automatic control system for lights and fans in the classrooms of MTs Miftahussalam. The system was developed using an ESP8266 microcontroller, DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, and relay modules to control devices automatically based on environmental data. Monitoring and control interfaces were handled via the Arduino IoT Cloud platform, allowing real-time device management through web or mobile applications. The implementation results showed that the system operated stably and effectively, providing positive impacts on classroom comfort and energy efficiency. This activity also successfully improved teachers' technological literacy through hands-on training and practical system assembly.
