Abstract

This study discusses energy efficiency at the Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali as an implication of the application of the Tri Hita Karana concept. The purpose of this study is to examine the amount of energy efficiency as an implication of implementing THK at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali. The energy constraints studied include water and electricity. The time period studied is 12 months, consisting of 6 months before the implementation of the THK, namely january-june 2018 and 6 months after the implementation of the thk in july-december 2018. The data analysis technique uses paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t test for water efficiency with a significance value of 0.029 while for electricity efficiency a significance value of 0.870, there was no difference in energy efficiency from the implications of implementing Tri Hita Karana at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali so that further planning efforts are needed to improve water and electricity efficiency at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh firm generated content terhadap minat beli tamu, pengaruh electronic word of mouth terhadap minat beli tamu, serta pengaruh firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth secara simultan terhadap minat beli tamu di Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pengikut di media sosial instagram Sthala Ubud Bali, dengan hasil 100 kuesioner dikembalikan dan layak untuk dianalisis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, koefisien determinasi, dan sumbangan efektif dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows version 25. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa firm generated content secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu, electronic word of mouth secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu, serta firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu di Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International. Firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth memberikan pengaruh sebesar 54,1% terhadap minat beli tamu, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 45,9% disebabkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak disebutkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out and describing the linguistic landscape (LL) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (IGNRIA), and the users’ attitudes towards the LL. The data of LL was gathered by capturing textual forms of a language/languages by a handphone camera, while the data on users’ attitudes was collected through interviewing airport users. The users as respondents were determined based on a number of criterias, such as nationality, age and education. The result of the study showed that: 1). The LL at IGNRIA made use of 7 (seven) variations of language used, namely: a. Indonesian, b). English, c). Indonesian-English, d). English-Indonesian, e). Balinese-English, f). English-Chinese and g). Balinese script-English. 2). Regarding the attitudes towards LL, the users agreed the importance existence of LL at IGNRIA, in which bilingual Indonesian-English was used, instead of Indonesian or English written monolingually. In relation with the configurational composition, some users stated that Indonesian must be on top of English; while the others thought that either Indonesian or English can be on top, as long as it was clear and informative. Futhermore, users strongly supported the use of Balinese and Balinese Script in LL whuch may function as area identity symbol, as well as maintaining the local genius of Balinese culture. Users even stated that the use of Balinese can be a tourist attraction and knowledge which was good to learn. The use of a foreign language other than English was welcome as long as it was intended to fulfil the information needs of the airport users.

Abstract

The linguistic landscape has attracted the interest of many language researchers recently. One area of study that has not received much attention is the linguistic landscape of restaurants. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the linguistic landscape of food stalls in Melasti Beach, Bali. Data was obtained by taking photos using a cell phone camera against signboards, banners and menu lists displayed in front of the restaurant. A total of 43 photos were collected and there were 144 items analyzed. then categorized based on the language used. The results of the study found that the use of language in the linguistic landscape at Melasti Beach was dominated by the use of Indonesian and followed by English and other foreign languages. There is the phenomenon of bilingualism and multilingualism. This linguistic landscape is in line with tourists visiting Melasti Beach.

Abstract

Festival tahunan Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) di Kota Tomohon adalah event tahunan yang dibuat dan dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat dan bersifat bottom up. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan paparan terkait kegiatan penguatan keterampilan bunga komersial dalam meningkatkan branding kota bunga di Tomohon. Namun, pemanfaatan bunga lokal yang ada sampai saat ini hanya massif digunakan pada event TIFF berlangsung, dan pada pelaksanaan hanya menjadi produk mentah yang dijual ke Kota Manado dan luar kota. Pelaksanaan pelatihan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan Masyarakat yang diketahui melalui proses penjajagan dengan dinas pariwisata Kota Tomohon. Perencanaan sampai dengan pelaksanaan dilakukan sesuai dengan kesepakatan dari mitra Kerjasama. Pelatihan yang bertema peningkatan keterampilan flower commercial dibagi menjadi tiga sesi. 1) Merangkai single flower boquet, 2) Merangkai bunga pada media besar (kertas wrap, box dan keranjang), dan 3) flower to wear. Hasil pelatihan diketahui bahwa Masyarakat merasa puas terhadap pelatihan yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari yakni pada tanggal 24-25 Juni 2024. Pada periode berikutnya direncanakan kegiatan Pengabdian dengan tema Pendampingan yang akan dilaksanakan berbarengan dengan persiapan masyarakat Kota Tomohon menyambut pagelaran Tomohon International Flower Festival 2024.
