Abstract

This study aims to create awareness of disasters in class X students by utilizing the Mind Mapping learning model on disaster material. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using literature study analysis. The results obtained from this study are a Mind Mapping learning model that is able to generate awareness of disaster in earthquake material in students. The developed media has never been tested on students so that it becomes a recommendation for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of the knowledge and attitude of caring for the environment for students of geography education at the University of Prof. Dr. Hazairin, S.H. Bengkulu. This research was conducted after implementing the Population and Environmental Education course which had the outcome of planting mangroves on the coast of Bengkulu. The sample of the study population was 75 respondents with 20 questionnaire items. The time of the research starts from May 2023 to August 2023. The measurement scale in this study is the Likert scale. Data collection through literature study, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of questionnaire data processing, the knowledge value of university geography education students Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH has a very high frequency with a total score of 86%. Furthermore, the environmental care attitude of university geography education students, Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH also has a high frequency with a total score of 89%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the map of the spread of COVID-19 cases in the city of Bengkulu. This research was carried out in the Bengkulu City Health Service area. The research method used in this study uses quantitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques were carried out using documentation and interview methods. The population was taken from all people infected with COVID-19 from March 2020-March 2021. The data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive statistics and geographic information systems (GIS). Processing data on the number of patients infected with Covid-19 uses a frequency distribution table and a classification table to determine which area belongs to the low, medium zone; high and very high.

Abstract

Bengkulu City is an area that has a high potential threat of natural disasters. One effort that can be made is to form a Disaster Preparedness School (SSB). The Bengkulu Provincial Government has formed SSB which is a program of the United National Development Program (UNDP). However, when a school has been labeled SSB but the community in the school environment is not ready, of course, it will be a problem and interesting to study. The aim of this research is to look at the preparedness of students at disaster preparedness schools (SSB) in Bengkulu City in facing the threat of disaster. This research method is qualitative, and descriptive in nature. The population in this study were elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools located in the red zone of disaster threat in Bengkulu City. The sample in this study consisted of a sample of the school environment and a sample of respondents (students and teachers). School environment samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques. Sampling considerations are 1) elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools located less than 500 meters from the beach; 2) a topography of 25 meters above sea level; and 3) a slope of 0% -15% from sea level. The samples in this study were SD Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 15, and SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu City. The sample of respondents were students. The sampling of student and teacher respondents in this study used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique by taking 10% of the number of students per class in each disaster-prepared school. The sample of student respondents was 187 students and the sample of teacher respondents was 117 people. This research will be carried out for one year—data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The research results show that the preparedness of students at the disaster preparedness school SDN 1 Kota Bengkulu falls into the ready category with a score of 53.9 or 50.0075. The readiness of students at the disaster preparedness school SMPN 15 Bengkulu City falls into the ready category with a score of 53.57 or 50.0075. The preparedness of students at the SMAN 6 Bengkulu City disaster preparedness school is included in the ready category which is at 71.25 or 75.00.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data, process, analyze and discuss the Community Vulnerability in the Coastal Areas of Pariaman City in Earthquake Disaster Mitigation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The population in this study are villages along the coast of Pariaman. Total population of 1117 households (KK). Sampling of respondents based on Proposional Random Sampling, namely 10% of the total population, so that the respondents totaled 117 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. Descriptive qualitative data analysis used frequency and percentage tables. The results of this study indicate the level of community vulnerability in the coastal area of Pariaman in earthquake mitigation shows a high vulnerability category. The general public must always be given outreach on a regular basis to be able to understand about knowledge before a disaster, during a disaster and after a disaster.

Abstract

This study analyzes the supporting factors and obstacles in developing a creative economy based tourist area in the Gulf of Segara district and can then formulate a strategy for developing creative economy-based tourist areas in Bengkulu City Gulf district. The aim of this study is to be able to identify the supportive factors and barriers in the development of a tourism area based on creative economy as well as to formulate a new strategy in development of tourism areas based on the creative economy. The research method used in this research is the Qualitative Method. In this study, it can be stated that there are some supportive factors and obstacles in the development of creative economy-based tourist areas in the Gulf of Segara district of Bengkulu City, then through SWOT analysis on internal and external factors, it is possible to produce a good strategy against the development strategy of tourism district based on creative economy in Segara Gulf district, namely 4 strategy ; Strategy SO, ST, WO Strategy, and WT Strategy.
