Abstract

Premature rupture of the membranes (PROM) is the rupture of the amniotic sac before labor. This study aims to determine the correlation between pregnant women's knowledge and attitudes about premature rupture of membranes and their preventive behavior in the Working Area of UPTD Tanjung Harapan Health Center. This quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted in Tanjung Harapan Health Center, Ulok Kupai Sub-District, North Bengkulu Regency, from July 1 to 30, 2025, with a sample size of 43 respondents. Data collection used a research questionnaire. The results showed that respondents with sufficient knowledge had good behavior (51.16%), while those with low knowledge were evenly distributed between those with good and poor behavior (2.33% each). Respondents with positive attitudes tended to have good behavior (41.86%), while respondents with negative attitudes had good behavior (25.58%). A P-value of 0.035 indicates a statistically significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes toward behavior (since P < 0.05). The researchers recommend that Health Centers implement guidance, coaching, and counseling programs regarding the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and behaviors related to premature rupture of membranes.

Abstract

According to WHO data in 2022, there were 2.3 million cases and 670,000 deaths worldwide; GLOBOCAN 2024 recorded breast cancer as the most common cancer (11.7%), with 685,000 deaths. In Indonesia, 65,858 new cases were recorded, with an incidence rate of 42.1 and a mortality rate of 17 per 100,000 population, and this rate is expected to increase until 2030. In Bengkulu, in 2025, Bengkulu City recorded 23 cases (aged 30–59 years), followed by Kepahiang with 22 cases, and North Bengkulu with 21 cases. This study aims to determine the relationship between the availability of information sources and peer support with BSE behavior for early breast cancer detection among 10th and 11th grade female students at SMAN 01 Bengkulu City in 2025. This study used quantitative methods with a cross-sectional design. The study sample size was 80 respondents, drawn from a total population of 400 individuals, based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents had readily available information sources (41 respondents), supported peer support (31 respondents), and performed BSE well (26 respondents). Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between the availability of information sources and BSE behavior (p-value = 0.007) and a significant relationship between peer support and BSE behavior (p-value = 0.004). The researchers recommend that schools provide more visual informational media, such as posters or leaflets, about BSE steps in strategic areas such as the school health center (UKS) or the school bulletin board. Schools can collaborate with local community health centers (Puskesmas) to conduct "Peer Counselor" training so that female students have the skills to provide appropriate informational and emotional support to their peers..

Abstract

Adolescents are an age group vulnerable to emotional disorders due to physical, psychological, and social changes (WHO, 2020). One factor suspected of contributing to the emergence of emotional disorders in adolescents is online gaming addiction. Excessive online gaming use can affect emotional regulation, increase anxiety, and impact behavior and academic achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between online gaming addiction and emotional disorders in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu City in 2025. This study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all students at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu City, with a sample size of 90 respondents drawn using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were an online gaming addiction questionnaire and an emotional disorders questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods, using the Chi-Square statistical test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a level of online gaming addiction, with frequencies ranging from 0 = ≤40%, 1 = 41-70%, and 2 = ≥71%. Respondents also experienced emotional disturbances with a frequency of 0 = Normal (0-16), 1 = Borderline (17-33), 2 = Abnormal (34-50). The results of the Chi-Square statistical test showed a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between online gaming addiction and emotional disturbances in adolescents. Adolescents with high levels of online gaming addiction had a greater risk of experiencing emotional disturbances than adolescents with low levels of addiction. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between online gaming addiction and emotional disturbances in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu in 2025. An active role is needed for schools, families, and health professionals in preventing and controlling online gaming use to maintain adolescents' emotional health.

Abstract

Antenatal care is regular care for pregnant women with the aim of monitoring the emergence of diseases or adverse conditions that may occur during pregnancy and childbirth. According to the WHO, the global maternal mortality ratio (MMR) is 189 per 100,000 live births. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that approximately 15% of all pregnant women will develop complications related to their pregnancy, which can result in maternal and fetal death (WHO, 2023). The purpose of this study is to determine a correlation between knowledge level of pregnancy danger signs in third trimester pregnant women and compliance with antenatal care at Bantal Health Center. The research method used quantitative data with a sample size of 39 third trimester pregnant women. The independent variable was knowledge of pregnancy danger signs in pregnant women, and the dependent variable was compliance with antenatal care. Data analysis in this study used the Chi-Square statistical test (α=0.05). The results of the study showed that most of the respondents, namely 20 (51.3%) respondents, had good knowledge at Bantal Health Center. Most of the respondents, namely 22 (56.4%) respondents, were not compliant in attending ANC at Bantal Health Center. The chi-square test results obtained a p-value of 0.001, meaning that Ha is accepted, indicating that there was a correlation between the knowledge level of pregnancy danger signs in third trimester pregnant women and compliance with antenatal care at Bantal Health Center. The conclusion of this study is that regular pregnancy check-ups are necessary for pregnant women at BPM, health centers, hospitals, and other health care facilities to increase pregnant women's knowledge about danger signs of pregnancy and compliance with antenatal care.
