Abstract

Utilization organic fertilizers is one of the efforts from agricultural sector to preserve the environment. The application of organic fertilizer not only reduces the use of inorganic fertilizers but also reduces the accumulation of waste and increases the quality of crop yields at the right dose and type. This study utilizes waste substrate from straw mushroom growing media as a mixture plant medium for Tobacco. The fertilizer used is made from liquid coffee waste, cow urine, goat urine, and Kipahit plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the pH, NPK content, C-organic liquid organic fertilizer, determine the effect of the application of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of Tobacco, and the content of dissolved protein, carbohydrates, and total chlorophyll in Tobacco. The results of laboratory analysis showed the pH value of liquid organic fertilizer meets the Minimum Technical requirements of Organic Fertilizer, Biological Fertilizer and Soil Improver, but the levels of NPK and C-organic do not meet the requirements. Application of liquid organic fertilizer showed a very significant effect on tobacco plant height. The nutrient content of N is strongly correlated with the soluble protein in tobacco plants.

Abstract

Increasing Production Capacity of Oyster Mushroom Farmers in Karangpring Village through Baglog Two-Level Pressing Technology. The production capacity of baglog manually by oyster mushroom farmers in Karangpring Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency is 1,250 baglogs/month with a low average productivity of about 625 kg/4 months which is only done by 2 workers. About 25% of the total baglog made had poor oyster mushroom mycelium growth due to the lack of density of baglog so oyster mushrooms could not be harvested. The problem that can be identified is the lack of experienced workers who can properly compact baglog from F3 oyster mushroom seeds. Oyster mushroom baglog that is less dense causes the growth of oyster mushroom mycelia to be inhibited, resulting in decreased productivity. There needs to be empowerment that aims to provide education on the technique of properly compacting the oyster mushroom baglog while at the same time providing assistance with a two-lever baglog press. The method used in this empowerment activity is training and demonstration of the use of a two-lever baglog press. The result of this service activity is that baglog pressing training is carried out with a two-lever baglog pressing machine for oyster mushroom farmers. With this tool, the baglog compaction process is faster with the right density (100%) where previously 25% of the total baglog that was compacted could not be completely compacted if done manually. The production target of F3 oyster mushroom seeds, which was originally very late, became on time with only 2 workers assisted by a two-lever baglog pressing machine. Empowerment of oyster mushroom farmers through training and the provision of a two-lever baglog press was able to increase the production of F3 oyster mushroom seedlings of 10,500 baglog per month with an increase in production efficiency of 573% compared to before using the tool.

Abstract

Tanaman paria merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman sayuran semusim yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh sektor rumah tangga petani dengan skala luasan lahan yang relatif masih kecil. Rasio jumlah bunga betina yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan bunga jantan dapat memicu rendahnya jumlah hasil buah yang diproduksi.Pemberian nutrisi mikro dan makro menjadisalah satu upaya yang dinilai mampu meningkatkan hasil buah paria. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mengetahui pengaruh dosis pemberian asam borat dan pupuk kalium terhadap hasil tanamanparia.Penelitian menggunakan pola dasar RAK (RancanganAcak Kelompok) secara faktorial dengan 2 faktordan 3 ulangan. Faktor utama yaitu dosis asam borat (H3BO3) dan dosis pupuk kalium (K). Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukan (1) terdapat interaksi kombinasi dosis asam borat dan dosis pupuk kalium terhadap jumlah buah dan Fruit-set menunjukkan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik pada B2K1 (asam borat 1,25 kg Bha-1 + pupuk kalium 90 kg K2Oha-1). (2) Perlakuan dosis asam borat berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel jumlah bunga jantan, dengan hasil terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (B0). (3) Perlakuan dosis pupuk kalium berpengaruh nyata pada variabel panjang buah, dengan hasil terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan dosis 150 kg K2O ha-1 (K3).

Abstract

Jambewangi Village is a village that is one of the focus locations for cocoa plantations according to the Banyuwangi Regency Agriculture Service. Cocoa production in Jambewangi Village is around ±500 kg/ha in 2019, far from the potential for superior cocoa production of ±2,000 kg/ha. The problem in Jambewangi Village is that cocoa plants are not the main crop in Jambewangi Village, this is because cocoa plants do not provide optimal benefits for the community (low productivity). Whereas Jambewangi Village is one of the people's cocoa centers in Banyuwangi Regency. When the service team conducted initial observations and interviews with Jambewangi cocoa farmers, several problems were found, namely that many cocoa pods were rotten by the fungus Phithopthora; leaves and fruit with lots of spots (attacked by Helopeltis pests), the condition of the garden is dirty and lush; and no rorak in the garden. This problem arises because farmers do not apply good and correct cultivation practices (GAP). The implementation of GAP will increase the productivity of cocoa plants, increasing productivity will improve the welfare of the Jambewangi community. The socialization program and the practice of implementing Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) for cocoa plants provide a stimulus to farmers to apply it in cocoa cultivation activities so that it is hoped that this can be a step to develop local potential and the surrounding community. Farmers in Jambewangi Village showed high enthusiasm for mastering the application of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) including fertilizing, pruning and making rorak.

Abstract

Sektor pertanian merupakah salah satu sektor penting dalam perekonomian di Indonesia. Seperti halnya di Desa Gubrih, Kecamatan Wringin, Kabupaten Bondowoso, dimana mayoritas masyarakatnya bermata pencaharian sebagai petani dan peternak. Adanya permasalahan berupa meningkatnya kebutuhan pupuk bagi petani bersamaan dengan adanya kelangkaan pupuk bersubsidi, serta penggunaan pupuk kimia juga dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti peningkatan kadar keasaman tanah sehingga menurunkan produktivitas tanaman. Selain itu, terdapat pula permasalahan lingkungan berupa melimpahnya limbah kotoran sapi yang ada di Desa Gubrih. Guna mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, program pengabdian dalam kegiatan KKN ini berfokus pada inovasi pemanfaatan limbah kotoran sapi sebagai Pupuk Organik Padat (POP) yang berupa pupuk kandang dan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC). Pelaksanaan program ini dibagi menjadi beberapa tahapan, diantaranya yaitu: 1) identifikasi; 2) sosialisasi; 3) pembuatan dan pengujian pupuk organik; 4) pelatihan; serta 5) konsultasi dan pendampingan. Upaya yang dilakukan dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan lingkungan dari keberadaan limbah kotoran sapi yang melimpah di Desa Gubrih. Selain itu, dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat guna mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap penggunaan pupuk kimia bersubsidi serta diharapkan mampu untuk menghasilkan produk yang bernilai ekonomis sehingga mampu meningkatkan kondisi perekonomian masyarakat Desa Gubrih.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk kandang sapi dan interval pemberian air terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stevia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021-Februari 2022 di lahan PT. DSR Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang. Percobaan ini dilakukan secara faktorial menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (RPT) dengan pola dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 ulangan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa interval pemberian air 3 hari sekali berpengaruh nyata pada variabel tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang. Abstract

Vanilla is one of the export commodities with a relatively high economic value. One of the problems with vanilla cultivation is the health of vanilla seedlings. This study aimed to determine the best concentration of growth regulators from bean sprout extract to vanilla seed cuttings with some variations of plant media. This research was conducted by observing changes in shoot length, root length, number of leaves, and root volume in plant samples due to providing various types of planting media treatments and PGR fertilization. This study was designed using the Completely Randomized Design method with two factors. The treatment composition of growing media with bean sprout extract concentration showed a significant effect on the growth parameters, which affected the observation parameters, including the number of leaves, shoot length, root length, and root volume. The best bean sprout extract concentration was 10%, and the best-growing media composition was soil and manure.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengemasan biji kopi yang tidak tepat dapat merusak kualitas kopi, mengurangi cita rasa, dan memperpendek umur simpan, sehingga mengurangi daya saing produk di pasar. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan petani kopi di Desa Curahpoh, Bondowoso, dalam teknik pengemasan kopi yang tepat guna mempertahankan kualitas dan meningkatkan nilai jual kopi. Metode yang digunakan mencakup sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan dalam pengemasan kopi menggunakan teknik kedap udara dan vacuum. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 21 petani kopi dari kelompok tani LMDH Agro Santoso. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan 15 wawancara,. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam pengemasan kopi sebesar 90%, dengan 70% petani melaporkan peningkatan kualitas kopi dan harga jual. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani dan daya saing kopi Desa Curahpoh di pasar lokal dan internasional. Abstract: Improper packaging of coffee beans can damage coffee quality, reduce flavor, and shorten shelf life, thus reducing product competitiveness in the market. The objective of this service was to improve the skills of coffee farmers in Curahpoh Village, Bondowoso, in proper coffee packaging techniques to maintain the quality and increase the selling value of coffee. The methods used included socialization, training, and mentoring in coffee packaging using airtight and vacuum techniques. This activity involved 21 coffee farmers from the farmer group LMDH Agro Santoso. Evaluation was conducted through observation and interviews. The results showed an increase in participants' skills in coffee packaging by 90%, with 70% of farmers reporting an increase in coffee quality and selling price. The program is expected to increase farmers' income and the competitiveness of Curahpoh Village coffee in local and international markets.
