Abstract

The objective of this research is to provide a depiction of the effects of online science education on children between the ages of 5 and 6 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in relation to the development of science learning abilities in this age group. This research aims to investigate the challenges and barriers encountered during the execution of science education for children aged 5–6 years at Barunawati 3 Samarinda Kindergarten. The research employs a case study methodology, which centers on the individuals involved in a particular teacher's online science learning case, as a means of adapting to crisis situations. The Barunawati 3 Samarinda Kindergarten has been accredited as "Good" based on the school's established criteria for evaluation. The study employed the interaction model proposed by Milles and Huberman to analyze the data collection methods, which included direct interviews, direct observation, and documentation, with a sample of one teacher, three parents, and three students. The findings indicate that the effects of incorporating online science education were facilitated via WhatsApp Video Calls and assignments completed by students with parental involvement. Additionally, the study examined student reactions during learning activities and the outcomes of instructional methods that did not employ digital learning resources. Hence, the findings of this research offer valuable insights for educational institutions to enhance their online science education programs, thereby facilitating a smooth transition of children to formal schooling.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dampak pandemi COVID-19 ditinjau dari prosespembelajaran yang dirasakan oleh pendidik PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui kendala internal dan eksternal serta strategi guru PAUD mengajar pada masapandemi. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan datadilakukan melalui observasi secara langsung, wawancara tidak terstruktur, dan studidokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan: bahwa, (1) Guru tidak siap dalam mengajar pada masa pandemi karenaguru tidak mampu menyediakan seluruh perangkat pembelajaran secara lengkap,(2)Kendala eksternal yang guru rasakan selama mengajar daring, diantaranya kurangpartisipasi orang tua dalam mendampingi anak, keterbatasan fasilitas sarana danprasarana di rumah, dan ketidakstabilan jaringan internet, (3) Strategi yang guru lakukandalam mengatasi orang tua yang kurang berpartisipasi dalam mendampingi anak belajardi rumah dengan menelepon orang tua, minimnya sarana belajar di rumah, ditanganidengan strategi home-visit mengantarkan tugas mingguan untuk anak, serta keterbatasanjaringan internet dengan mencari tempat yang memiliki internet yang stabil. Dengandemikian, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan kajian tentang gambarankendala dan strategi guru dalam mengajar di masa pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

This study adressed three aspects: (1) how Senior Highshool Biology teachers perceive about learning tools (2) how the skills of Senior Highshool Biology teachers in managing learning tools (3) what are problems obtained by teachers according to planning and implementation of learning tools with the integration of Reading, Qusetioning and Answering (RQA). This study is the prerequisite study to analyse the needs for the development of learning tools integrated by Reading, Questioning and Answering (RQA) in Senior Highschool. Method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The conculion obtained from this study includes: (1) the lack of expertise about learning tools in Senior Highschool Biology teachers, (2) the lack of ability in them to manage learning tools, (3) problems obtained in them related to the planning and implementation of the learning tools integrated by Reading, Qusetioning and Answering (RQA) learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to: analyze the needs of teachers, feasibility and effectiveness in the development of learning tools based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve 7th grade students' Science learning outcomes in SMPN 2 Bongan. The results of the observation is in the form of teacher needs analysis instrument analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Observation results obtained that the use of Problem Based Learning model in Science learning process had not been optimally implemented in schools, problems obtained in teachers are: 1) teachers still had difficulties in understanding and composing learning tools, 2) teachers still had difficulties in determining the appropriate learning model, 3) teachers were still less creative, 4) lack of facilities and infrastructure provided in schools for teachers to be more innovative in learning. Problems obtained in students are: 1) low mastery on the subject matter, students were only able to answer the problem of C1 to C3 thinking levels, 2) Science learning only embraced the concept so that students felt lack of interest in learning, 3) students were not engaging in learning, 4) low level of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Media audio visual merupakan media yang dapat menstimulus perkembangan kemampuan kognitif anak dengan anak mampu mengenal benda berdasarkan warna dan bentuk, menyebutkan benda berdasarkan warna dan bentuk, dan mengklasifikasikan benda berdasarkan warna dan bentuk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah media audio berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak. penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimen jenis one group pretest-postest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 35 anak dengan sampel sebanyak 10 anak. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data uji statistik. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan setelah diberi perlakuan meningkat hingga 45,1%, pada awal saat pretest perkembangan kognitif anak 40,18%, kemudian pada saat postest meningkat jadi 85,28%. Dari penjelasan tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media audio visual memberikan pengaruh terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak kelas B1 usia 5-6 Tahun di TK Cendrawasih Samarinda.

Abstract

The study examines the effects of implementing the Problem Based Learning instructional approach, along with the Kipin School 4.0 application, on the academic achievement of 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Bontang. The purpose of this study is to find out to evaluate the effects of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) instructional strategy, in conjunction with the Kipin School 4.0 Application Media, on the academic performance of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Bontang. Ecology and biodiversity content for the academic year 2023/2024. The type of research used by the researcher is Quasi Experiment (pseudo experiment) with a quantitative approach. Purposive sampling technique with a sample of 66 students. The data analysis technique utilizes the independent sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The data analysis results demonstrate a statistically significant value. The two-tailed p-value is 0.00, indicating that it is lower than the predetermined significance level of 0.05. In addition, the t-test statistic (3.674) exceeds the essential t-value (1.669). Thus, it can be inferred that implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) instructional approach using the Kipin School 4.0 program has a substantial influence on the academic achievements of 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Bontang.

Abstract

This development research aims to: (1) prove the feasibility and practicality of articulate storyline media in learning about food and the digestive system (2) to prove that articulate storyline media with problem based learning (PBL) model in learning about food and the digestive system is effective in improving critical and creative thinking skills (3) to prove that articulate storyline media with project based learning (PJBL) model in learning about food and the digestive system is effective in improving critical and creative thinking skills. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were biology subject teachers and students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 SMAN 6 Samarinda and class XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 4 at SMAN 4 Samarinda. Data testing was carried out by testing the feasibility of the media, the practicality of the media, the effectiveness test using the Manova test and the N-Gain test. The results of the study obtained: (1) articulate storyline media is feasible and practical to be used in the learning process (2) articulate storyline media with problem based learning (PBL) learning model in learning about food and the digestive system is effective in improving critical thinking skills (3) articulate storyline media with project based learning (PJBL) learning model in learning about food and the digestive system is effective in improving creative thinking skills. Based on the manova test, a significance value of 0.000 (sig <0.05) was obtained, so it was concluded that there are learning models that have different abilities in terms of influencing critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills simultaneously.

Abstract

Penguatan nilai agama dan moral merupakan hal penting yang perlu dilakukan pada anak usia dini agar memiliki kesiapan bersekolah secara optimal. Salah satunya melalui program pembelajaran adab di PAUD. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program pembelajaran adab, muatan nilai-nilai adab yang diajarkan, dan pelibatan orang tua dalam pelaksanaan program pembelajaran adab. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari anak usia 4-5 tahun di kelompok TK A, kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua peserta didik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi,dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan mengadopsi model Milles & Hubermen pasca pengumpulan data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil temuan ini menjelaskan,  implementasi program pembelajaran adab dilakukan sekolah setiap hari berbentuk aktivitas internalisasi nilai agama Islam dan setiap tiga bulan sekali sekolah mengadakan ujian adab berupa pengetahuan dasar tentang kebiasaan berbasis nilai Islam.

Abstract

Kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini mencakup aspek daya ingat, pemahaman konsep, dan keterampilan berpikir logis yang penting untuk perkembangan akademik dan sosial. Namun, masih ditemukan kendala stimulasi kognitif yang optimal di beberapa PAUD, seperti kurangnya media dan minimnya penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis eksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun setelah diberikan stimulasi melalui permainan geometri. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 15 anak yang dipilih melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, serta tes kognitif menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan kognitif, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 38,00 menjadi 69,53 dan N-gain sebesar 0,5287 (kategori sedang). Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi bentuk geometri tidak hanya meningkatkan daya ingat dan pemahaman konsep, tetapi juga melatih anak dalam memecahkan masalah serta mengenali hubungan spasial dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran lingkungan Sekolah dalam pembentukkan Sikap Sosial Anak Usia Dini. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah dan guru sentra masing-masing. Dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu peran lingkungan sekolah dalam membentuk sikap anak melalui peran kepala sekolah dan guru yang ada di TK Anak Bangsa, bagaimana kepala sekolah dan guru mencerminkan pembiasaan, kepedulian, kemandirian, kedisiplinan, dan berahlak mulia sebagaimana dengan visi yang ada. Serta perencanaan progam kegiatan yang membentuk sikap sosial anak seperti, program perencanaan pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran guru, dan sikap manajerial kepala sekolah. Sehingga dampak penelitian ini sangat pengaruh bagi peneliti untuk kedepannya dalam dunia pendidik bagaimana membangun sikap sosial yang baik terutama kepada peserta didik.
