Abstract

The transmission system plays an important role in maintaining the continuity of the distribution of electrical energy from one region to another. Disturbances in transmission lines are caused by short circuits, overloads, lightning surges, natural disturbances and others. For this reason, a protection system is needed that is reliable and can identify disturbances quickly while protecting the disturbed part of the system from other parts that can still operate normally. However, the protection system can experience operational failure due to various factors, therefore, apart from the main protection, backup protection is needed which can work when the main protection fails to work. Distance relays can be used as primary protection as well as remote backup protection on high voltage overhead lines. Meanwhile, the overcurrent relay is used as local backup protection if the distance relay fails to work. In this paper, a protection system is designed for the Buduran Main Substation channel using a combination of distance relays as main protection and overcurrent relays as backup protection using simulation method the Digsilent Power Factory. The overcurrent relay will trip at 0.5 and 0.15 seconds. From the Load Flow results, the value is obtained = 3,615 kA, = 4,67 kA and The range impedance according to the conductor cable data at the Buduran region 0,9676, Zone1 1 0,79Ω; 80%, Zone2 1,19Ω; 120% dan Zone3 as 1,48Ω is 150%. Thus the research can be declared successful in carrying out overcurrent protection

Abstract

Measurement of vital signs is a procedure that is usually done when health workers carry out screening. The vital signs in question include body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and others. The equipment used to measure these vital signs should generally be touched to the subject (by contact). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, contact measurements need to be avoided. So it is necessary to make a non-contact measuring system for vital signs. In this study, the only vital signs measured were heart rate. In this study it is proposed to make a non-contact heart rate meter with a plane orthogonal to skin (POS) that uses a peak detection algorithm to determine the heart rate value. In general, the POS method using the fast Fourier transform (FFT) requires longer data which makes the process take longer. So in this study, a peak detection algorithm will be used to calculate the heart rate value that has been extracted using POS which has a faster process. Based on the testing of the POS-FFT method and the POS-peak detection method, it was found that POS-peak detection gave stable results at all data lengths. The smallest mean absolute error generated is with a data length of 128 which is 5.19 bpm

Abstract

Based on data from Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Sector, the number of traffic accidents throughout 2020 was 7,565. With a factor of 1,018 drowsy drivers or 13% of the total incidents. A solution is needed for that. The aim of this research is to calculate the average value of the duration of detection time and the number of flashes per minute, by knowing when the driver is drowsy or not drowsy. The method used is Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), where the driver will be detected whether he is sleepy or not, by analyzing the parameters of the number of blinks per minute and the duration of the blinks. If the eyes are open (EAR value) less than 0.45 and more than or equal to 3 seconds in one blink, it is categorized as sleepy. Tests were carried out on lighting, namely: morning, afternoon, evening and night light. Test results in daylight and evening light conditions with a light intensity value of 78 lux mean the duration of drowsiness detection is 3.26 seconds and the difference in time duration with the reference theory is 0.26 seconds. Meanwhile, for night light with a light intensity value of 15 lux, the average duration of drowsiness detection is 4.04 seconds and the difference in time duration with the reference theory is 1.04 seconds. Meanwhile, the number of blinks per minute when you are sleepy is 5-8 blinks/minute and when you are not sleepy it is 13-17 blinks/minute, for morning, afternoon, evening and night light conditions. It can be concluded that overall, this system can work well for day and evening and night light conditions.

Abstract

Load Frequency Control (LFC) is a system that works as a unit with the boiler-turbine-generator system which functions to maintain a frequency of 50 HZ by giving control to the governor system at the power plant when the peak load position results in a decrease in frequency, later LFC instructs the turbine governor to open a valve to drain the steam generated from the boiler system. In this study, we compared the performance of two controllers on LFC, namely PID and ANFIS through Matlab simulations. The simulation results show that the Setlling Time of the ANFIS Mamounia control is 76% faster than the PID control. ANFIS control can respond to changes in load to steady state frequency conditions with an error of 0.6% which is more effective than the PID control.

Abstract

Utilizing solar energy as an alternative energy source for Indonesia's electricity needs is very appropriate because it is located in a tropical area with hot sunlight available all year round. Considering that in rural areas in Indonesia there are still many public road accesses that are not equipped with street lighting and the problem stems from the use of conventional electrical energy as a source of street lighting. The use of photovoltaics (PV) as a tool to produce electrical energy with the advantages of being environmentally friendly, low maintenance costs and zero emissions and the energy needed is available in nature and is always renewable (renewable energy). The 1 DOF (Degree OF Freedom) solar tracker mechanic is used to find the point where the sunlight is optimal, which aims to produce maximum solar panel output during energy conversion. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that solar-powered public street lighting (PJU-TS) using a mechanical solar tracker delay of 2 seconds produces a daily energy conversion of 235.20 Wh, which is more optimal than solar-powered public street lighting (PJU-TS) with solar tracker delay. 2.5 seconds amounting to 218.75 Wh and solar powered public street lighting (PJU-TS) without a solar tracker amounting to 171.34 Wh.

Abstract

One of the advantages of solar cells is their ability to generate electricity without creating noise or air pollution. However, they have the disadvantage of increasing temperature due to continuous exposure to solar radiation, thereby decreasing solar cell efficiency. A solution to mitigate this effect is a cooling system for solar cells. Cooling methods for solar cells consist of active and passive methods. Active cooling methods for solar cells require power consumption, necessitating analysis and evaluation of their efficiency in practical applications. This research analyzed the power efficiency of a cooling system using a water pump, peltier, and fan. The power measurements generated by the cooled solar cell produced a power efficiency of 8.64%, compared to a solar cell without cooling. Meanwhile, the average power efficiency over six data collections was 7.82%.

Abstract

In the electric power system it does not always run normally. There are many disturbances or disturbance anomalies that can disrupt the operation of the system. One of them is at the Sekarputih main substation. last two years, the channel has experienced five short- circuit disruptions. As a result, electromagnetic distance relays must be replaced with digital distance relays equipped with reclosers. The reclosers will function when there is a relay disturbance on a trip and automatically reconnect. The disruptions may occur due to damage brought by unstable weather conditions. Indirectly, the value of relay settings will change and deviate from the PLN (state electricity company) standards. Therefore, relay re-setting was performed using two methods: the Fuzzy Mamdhani and the ANFIS methods. Using the Fuzzy Mamdhani method, the relay distance settings were as follows: Zone 1 = 0.523 Ω, Zone 2 = 0.54 Ω, and Zone 3 = 1.58 Ω. Meanwhile, the relay distance settings by the ANFIS method were: Zone 1 = 0.432 Ω, Zone 2 = 0.65 Ω, and Zone 3 = 1.22 Ω. The previous values of relay distance settings by PLN were Zone 1 = 0.587 Ω, Zone 2 = 1.046 Ω, and Zone 3 = 1.766 Ω.

Abstract

Kebutuhan pembangkitan energi terbarukan semakin meningkat seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi kelistrikan off-grid atau yang tidak menyambung ke jaringan kelistrikan. Namun kekurangan dari sistem ini adalah pada penyimpan daya yang harus selalu ada untuk menjaga kontinuitas daya pada saat sumber tidak menyuplai beban dengan cukup agar kebutuhan beban dapat selalu terpenuhi. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan mengingat kebutuhan akan pembangkitan energi terbarukan semakin meningkat, terutama di daerah yang sulit dijangkau oleh jaringan listrik utama atau di lokasi yang jauh dari infrastruktur listrik utama. Sistem panel surya off-grid merupakan solusi yang efektif, namun memerlukan sistem manajemen penyimpanan energi yang optimal agar kebutuhan listrik dapat terpenuhi secara kontinu. Dalam penelitian ini, algoritma Perturb and Observe digunakan untuk melihat performa pada sistem kelistrikan panel surya off-grid dengan manajemen penyimpanan energi menggunakan baterai dan superkapasitor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan solusi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas daya dan kestabilan pada sistem manajemen penyimpanan energi untuk fotovoltaik. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dengan skema kendali Perturb and Observe, intermitensi naik turun bertahap menghasilkan hasil lebih baik karena intermitensi naik turun tidak terdapat overshoot dan undershoot yang signifikan namun osilasi yang ada pada sisi beban lebih tinggi pada saat iradiansi rendah yaitu mencapai 10% dan undershoot hingga 460 W sedangkan pada saat iradiansi tinggi mencapai 7% tanpa undershoot pada scope daya beban, pada kedua tingkat iradiansi, overshoot mencapai 545 W hingga 546 W.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerawatan kendaraan berkala berdasarkan jarak tempuh menggunakan wireless odometer merupakan solusi untuk memberikan informasi kepada pemilik kendaraan. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa wireless odometer memiliki kelemahan, yaitu pembacaan sensornya memiliki error sebesar 13,2%. Hal ini menjadi kendala jika digunakan untuk mengukur jarak tempuh kendaraan bermotor. Upaya untuk memperbaiki kekurangan ini perlu dilengkapi dengan filter digital. Pada penelitian ini, metode Savitzky Golay Filter digunakan untuk membaca sensor pada Wireless Odometer. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa persentase error pembacaan saat menggunakan metode Savitzky Golay Filter mencapai 2,89%, sedikit lebih rendah dibandingkan error Kalman Filter 7,09 %. Berdasarkan error ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Savitzky Golay Filter adalah filter yang sesuai untuk Wireless Odometer.Kata kunci: Perawatan Berkala, Savitzky Golay Filter ABSTRACTPeriodic vehicle maintenance based on mileage using a wireless odometer is a solution to provide information to vehicle owners. Previous research has shown that wireless odometers have a weakness, namely that the sensor readings have an error of 13.2%. This is a constraint if it is used to measure the mileage of motor vehicles. Efforts to improve this deficiency need to be equipped with a digital filter. In this study, the Savitzky Golay Filter method is used to read the sensor on the Wireless Odometer. The test results show that the percentage of reading error when using the Savitzky Golay Filter method reaches 2.89%, slightly lower than the Kalman Filter error of 7.09%. Based on this error, it can be concluded that the Savitzky Golay Filter method is an appropriate filter for Wireless Odometer.Keywords: Periodic Maintenance, Savitzky Golay Filter

Abstract

The current condition of global energy utilization is that 40% is consumed by residential, this value is higher than industrial and commercial groups. Overcoming this problem can be done through energy conservation management specifically for household customers. The initial process of energy conservation is monitoring the use of electrical energy loads that are being used. Monitoring the type of use of electrical energy loads that have low-cost features is Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM). The method that can be used to monitor electrical energy loads with NILM is a combination of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The success rate of recognizing this type of electrical load depends on the size of the epoch during the ANN training process. Based on testing the success value of being able to achieve a value of 100% if using epoch 10000, it is different if using epoch 500 the success is only up to 30%. The results of the calculation process using the confusion matrix have an accuracy of 0.5876 or 58.76%, while the F1 value is 0.6928 or 69.28%.
