Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah penduduk Kota Surabaya setiap tahun memberikan dampak peningkatan beban energi listrik. Gardu Induk Surabaya selatan sebagai distribusi energi listrik di beberapa daerah yang padat penduduk akan mengalami peningkatan beban energi listrik. Solusi permasalahan ini adalah dengan menambah kapasitas pembangkit agar dapat memenuhi permintaan energi listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meramalkan daya yang akan dibangkitkan menggunakan metode jaringan saraf tiruan. Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan simulasi yang menunjukan bahwa dari arsitektur jaringan 12-6-1, 12-12-1, 12-18-1, 12-24-1, 12-30-1 yang telah digunakan dalam tahap pelatihan, maka arsitektur jaringan terpilih adalah 12-6-1 dikarenakan memiliki nilai error terkecil sebesar 0,7%. Dari semua data terdapat beberapa data yang telah di ramalkan memiliki error yang besar sekitar 5-10%. Perbandingan data aktual tiap bulan dengan data peramalan tiap bulan memiliki error sekitar 2% ketika dilakukan peramalan menggunakan arsitektur jaringan 12-6-1. Dengan demikian,penerapan metode jaringan saraf tiruan dapat digunakan untuk meramalkan daya yang dibangkitkan dengan baik serta dapat menjadi acuan pada penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Konsumsi listrik yang semakin meningkat dapat menyebabkan isu global warming, sehingga dibutuhkan inovasi untuk menyediakan kebutuhan listrik. Pemanfaatan energi surya merupakan salah satu inovasi penyediaan listrik dengan penggunaan panel surya. Namun panel surya memiliki kelemahan, tidak dapat bekerja secara maksimal jika permukaan panel menerima panas berlebihan. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat pengaturan suhu dan sistem pendingin PID untuk dapat mengoptimalkan kinerja panel serta melihat respon kontrol pendingin pada panel surya. Perancangan sistem panel surya dilakukan selama satu minggu, menggunakan dua jenis air yaitu air mineral dan air coolant. Penyemprotan pendingin dilakukan setiap 10 menit dan dilakukan secara otomatis, tercatat pada sistem data logger dan disimpan dalam micro SD. Panel yang digunakan adalah panel 120 wp. Perancangan panel surya menggunakan PID untuk mengatur suhu dan menggerakkan kipas serta motor. Respon kontrol pada PID dibeberapa kondisi air berjalan baik. PID dapat berkerja menggerakkan kipas dan motor ketika suhu tinggi, dan berhenti bekerja ketika suhu telah mencapai suhu normal. Efisiensi panel surya pada pengamatan yang dilakukan memiliki nilai dibawah 22%. Oleh karena itu dapat dikatakan, panel surya dengan pendingin dan tanpa pendingin, baik dengan media air biasa dan air coolant, belum mencapai nilai efisiensi yang baik.

Abstract

The electrical power system requires reliability to provide good and stable services. Each area has a variety of load characteristics related to the energy patterns of users in that region. As the solution, optimizing power flow in the interconnected system is necessary to improve reliability, quality, and system stability. This study aims to determine the impact of load variations on system stability. The simulation results indicated that the power flow at bus 1 and bus 2, directly connected to the generator, got stable balance. Specifically, bus 1 had an active power of 144 kW and a reactive power of 102 kVAr, while bus 2 had an active power of 54 kW and a reactive power of 54 kVAr. The comparison of active power with the motor constant of 100%-0% static showed that the highest value at load 1 reached 37.12 kW. Similarly, the comparison of reactive power with a motor constant of 80%–20% for the static constant showed that the highest value, achieved at load 6, was 19.2 kVAr. Thus, the simulation is beneficial to analyze the sensitivity in optimizing power flow within the electrical power system and can serve as a reference for future research.

Abstract

Indonesia has abundant fishery resources, including tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), a leading commodity in freshwater fisheries. With increasing market demand locally and internationally, fish farmers must control water use and production costs more efficiently by intensive cultivation with Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). However, a significant challenge in RAS systems is the high operational cost, particularly the electrical energy consumption for pumps and aerators. The research aimed to implement energy management in RAS-based tilapia aquaculture by utilizing real-time electricity monitoring technology, ON-OFF control automation, and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) inverters. The researcher conducted tests on two conventional and intensive systems. The intensive system used a control strategy that integrates scheduling on timer outlets and pump speed control through inverters. The test results showed that the intensive system was more efficient than the conventional system, with an initial power consumption of 80.75 kWh, then decreasing to 67.97 kWh. The energy efficiency reached 16%, equivalent to a monthly cost saving of Rp17,279, making the total operational cost of the intensive system only Rp91,895 per month. In addition, the Blynk app-based control system enabled real-time energy monitoring and management, supporting energy savings and improved cost efficiency.

Abstract

Renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly essential to meet global energy demands, given the depletion of fossil fuel reserves. Solar energy, mainly through photovoltaic (PV) technology, provides a viable solution by converting solar radiation into electricity. Photovoltaic systems, composed of multiple panels connected in series and parallel, depend on factors such as radiation intensity and temperature. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) commonly can optimize power output, but conventional methods often struggle in partial shading conditions, leading to local peak trapping. This research combined Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with MPPT to address this issue. In experiment 1, the solar panel output power graph reached a peak of 862.7 watts but exhibited instability. In contrast, the boost converter output power graph, optimized using the MPPT-PSO algorithm, achieved a maximum power of 736.5 watts with a more stable power fluctuation pattern.

Abstract

In the process of processing sugarcane juice into granulated sugar in the sugar industry, refining sugarcane juice is a factor that affects the quality of sugarcane. The method used to refine sugarcane juice is called defakasi, which is mixing it with lime milk. The aim is to increase the pH of sugarcane juice. From this problem, a pH control of sugarcane juice is proposed with the overflow concept using the PID algorithm. For the controller using the outseal nano V5 type PLC and the pH sensor is sen0161. PID control is used to regulate the flow rate of lime milk that enters the mixing tank through the pump. The results showed that the pH sensor had a relative error of less than 5% with a fluctuation of 4.73%. The selected gain parameters were KP = 0.8; KI = 0.5 and KD = 0.2 so that the time required to increase the pH value of sugarcane juice which was initially around 4.5 - 5 to 7 took about 60 seconds. While the overshoot value reached 19.86% and the steady state error was 6.71%. And the results of the pH of sugarcane juice after being controlled showed a relative error of 12.28%.
