Abstract

In the process of processing sugarcane juice into granulated sugar in the sugar industry, refining sugarcane juice is a factor that affects the quality of sugarcane. The method used to refine sugarcane juice is called defakasi, which is mixing it with lime milk. The aim is to increase the pH of sugarcane juice. From this problem, a pH control of sugarcane juice is proposed with the overflow concept using the PID algorithm. For the controller using the outseal nano V5 type PLC and the pH sensor is sen0161. PID control is used to regulate the flow rate of lime milk that enters the mixing tank through the pump. The results showed that the pH sensor had a relative error of less than 5% with a fluctuation of 4.73%. The selected gain parameters were KP = 0.8; KI = 0.5 and KD = 0.2 so that the time required to increase the pH value of sugarcane juice which was initially around 4.5 - 5 to 7 took about 60 seconds. While the overshoot value reached 19.86% and the steady state error was 6.71%. And the results of the pH of sugarcane juice after being controlled showed a relative error of 12.28%.

Abstract

The arm manipulator application that has 1 degree of freedom (DOF) can be used to flip folders in folding machines. The used actuator in folding machine is a Brushed DC motor. The Fuzzy-PD control system in this application is using Arduino Mega2560 microcontroller. Application of Fuzzy-PD control system on folding machine is able to move 5 flip folders. This Fuzzy-PD control system is able to improve the system response when there is a load, where the difference is only 7.73% from the no load condition. In addition, to implement this flip folder, a stochastic based method (ARX) is also applied on this system so it can be simulated directly. The simulation results from this folding machine model have a time constant of 0.510s, rise time of 1.501s, settling time of 1.5320s and delay time of 0.353s.

Abstract

Salted egg is one of the egg types that has a lot of devotees because it tastes a little salty and savory. Salted eggs are usually homemade in various regions. The easy process of making them has attracted many people to do so. This study developed a PLC-based on automatic system for a salted egg maker using the osmotic pressure method to accelerate the opening of the semi-permeable membrane on duck eggshells so that the salting mixture seeps into the eggs more quickly. It was carried out in an osmotic pool containing water and acetic acid at a concentration of 5%. The data collection process in designing the salted egg maker consisted of evaluating the performance of photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, temperature controller, thermostat set point, baking time, and salted egg durability test. The results of the tests indicated that the time needed to make salted eggs from raw eggs to cooked eggs only took 36 minutes using the machine designed. Additionally, the presented salted egg maker reveals the short making time, and long salted egg durability. altogether revealing full potential to be easily used for practical applications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem kendali robot balancing berbasis logika fuzzy dengan optimasi parameter menggunakan algoritma genetika. Sistem dirancang menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 dan sensor MPU6050 untuk mengukur sudut kemiringan dan kecepatan sudut, dengan motor DC sebagai aktuator. Parameter fungsi keanggotaan berbentuk segitiga (a, b, c) dioptimasi secara offline melalui algoritma genetika dengan fungsi fitness yang mempertimbangkan settling time (ts), overshoot (Mp), dan steady-state error (ess). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan peningkatan performa signifikan: settling time berkurang 52.2% (dari 2.3s ke 1.1s), overshoot turun 36% (dari 7.5% ke 4.8%), dan error steady-state berkurang 50% (dari 1.8° ke 0.9%). Analisis phase portrait membuktikan stabilitas global sistem dalam rentang ±90°, sementara heatmap 3D mengungkap hubungan nonlinier yang smooth antara variabel input-output. Implementasi real-time pada prototipe robot berhasil memvalidasi hasil simulasi dengan frekuensi sampling 100 Hz. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi metodologi optimasi desain kontroler cerdas yang dapat diaplikasikan pada sistem dinamis nonlinier lainnya.

Abstract

Coffee beans have diversity characteristic in aroma and taste, makes coffee a popular drink. Indonesia has many coffee beans producing areas, such as Flores coffee beans, Java coffee beans and Aceh Gayo coffee beans. Combine several coffee beans can produce processed coffee products with different quality flavors. To help from blending coffee blends, fuzzy logic can be used to determine the choice of coffee produced from several coffee bean blends. In this study, the use of the Fuzzy Mamdani method was carried out in a simulation using visual studio. Fuzzy Mamdani logic uses three stages to determine the quality of a mixture of several coffee beans. Fuzzy Logic is uses three stages to determine the quality of a mixture of several coffee beans. The three stages are fuzzification, interference engine, and defuzzification. From the fuzzification process, three coffee bean variables will be taken, for interference the engine will set the rules for the several coffee mixtures after which they will enter the defuzzification process. From the results of defuzzification will determine the expected coffee yield. Coffee products made from three coffee beans are coffee with light, medium and heavy flavor.

Abstract

Wireless LAN (WLAN) network quality in indoor environments is significantly affected by distance, building conditions, and physical obstacles such as concrete walls, glass, and other materials. Manually testing WiFi signal quality at multiple points is repetitive, time-consuming, and potentially leads to data inconsistencies. Therefore, this research aims to design and build a WiFi service coverage area testing system using a Raspberry Pi 3-based remote-controlled wheeled robot as a more efficient and controlled measurement alternative. The robot functions as a mobile platform that acts as a WiFi client to measure Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values ​​at various coordinate points in the test environment. The system was developed using a Raspberry Pi 3 as the control center, Python programming for the control system and RSSI reading using the PyWiFi library, and OpenCV for real-time camera display. The robot is controlled via a remote interface and moves according to a predetermined coordinate scheme. Tests were conducted at 35 measurement points, comparing the RSSI results from the robot prototype with the WiFi Analyzer application on an Android device. The test results show that RSSI variations are influenced by the distance from the access point and the physical environmental conditions. Data comparison shows an average error percentage of 5.51%, which indicates a system success rate of 94.49%.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai VFD sebagai pengendali motor induksi 3 phasa sebagai penggerak pompa sentrifugal dalam mendistribusikan air kedalam kolam dan juga mengatur level air agar tetap konstan. Dengan kondisi kolam yang membutuhkan air masuk dan juga air yang keluar, maka VFD akan menjaga putaran rotor untuk menggerakkan pompa sentrifugal sesuai dengan debit air yang dibutuhkan. Dan hal ini dilakukan dan dikontrol secara automatic dengan VFD yang dikendalikan dengan kontrol PID. Kontrol ini sangat berguna sekali dalam pengaturan kecepatan (speed regulation) dan mempertahankan kecepatan sesuai yang diinginkan operator (set point) meskipun terjadi perubahan beban pada motor. Perbedaan antara menggunakan kontrol PID dan yang tidak menggunakan kontrol PID terlihat dari pencapaian target set point yang direncanakan, dan hal ini juga berpengaruh terhadap planning kebutuhan flow air yang direncanakan.Disamping itu penggunaan kontrol PID juga menghemat kebutuhan daya motor sebagai penggerak pompa Booster

Abstract

Transformator daya merupakan salah satu komponen utama yang mempunyai peran penting pada sistem transmisi dan distribusi listrik. Untuk beroperasi secara optimal dibutuhkan pemantauan kondisi transformator secara berkala untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan dan memperpanjang umur transformator daya. Salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk menilai kondisi transformator daya adalah health index, yaitu metode yang mengintegrasikan berbagai hasil pengujian, seperti dissolved gas analysis (DGA), analisis minyak transformator, dan pengujian furan, guna memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai kondisi kesehatan transformator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesehatan transformator daya berdasarkan hasil uji laboratorium ketiga parameter utama tersebut. Dengan memanfaatkan metode artificial neural network (ANN), penelitian ini juga mengevaluasi kemampuan ANN dalam memprediksi kondisi kesehatan serta umur transformator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode health index berbasis ANN efektif dalam mengidentifikasi kondisi dan memprediksi umur transformator daya secara komprehensif.
