Abstract

Neonatal death rate for the most horrific death of an infant born alive in terms of age 0 until 28 the day. Indonesia th stage 77 the infant mortality in the world , with the death neonatal 14 per 1000 live births, while the purpose of sdgs is decreased the value of the death of neonatal until 12 per 1000 live births in years 2030. West sumatra rank the fifteenth neonatal mortality and kepulauan mentawai ranked ten. Mentawai island regency ranked ten in west. The purpose of this research is knew risk factors cause of the accident death neonatal in the island mentawai. This research use design case control .Sample case was mother with death neonatal in seribu island mentawai 2017 which consisted of 19 people .Sample control is mother with live births diwilayah island regency mentawai 2017 which consisted of 38 people .The research was done in analysis univariat and bivariat by test statistics chi-square .The results of the studies there are a significant relation exists the distance pregnancy ( p = 0,022 ), antenatal care ( p = 0,011 ), asphyxia ( p = 0,003 ), of his body weight of low birth ( p = 0,000 ) with the death of the neonatal . There was no correlation significant ( for p = 0,624 ), education ( 0,222 ), of parity ( 0,073 ), living to health facilities ( p = 0,255 ), culture ( p = 0,153 ). There was no correlation between the ages of significant, education, parity, living to health facilities, culture. There is a significant relation exists between the pregnancy, antenatal care, asphyxia, low birth weight.Angka kematian neonatal adalah kematian bayi lahir hidup dalam  usia 0 sampai  28 hari. Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke 77 Angka Kematian bayi di dunia, dengan angka kematian neonatal 14 per 1000 Kelahiran Hidup, sedangkan tujuan SDGs adalah menurunkan angka kematian neonatal hingga 12 per 1000 Kelahiran Hidup pada tahun 2030. Sumatera Barat peringkat kelima belas angka kematian neonatal dan Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai menduduki peringkat sepuluh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya faktor risiko penyebab kejadian kematian Neonatal di Wilayah Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai. Penelitian ini mengunakan desain case control. Sampel kasus adalah ibu dengan kematian neonatal di wilayah Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai tahun 2017 yang berjumlah 19 orang. Sampel kontrol adalah ibu dengan kelahiran hidup diwilayah kabupaten kepulauan Mentawai tahun 2017 yang berjumlah 38 orang. Analisis penelitian dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang signifikan jarak kehamilan (p=0,022), antenatal care (p=0,011), asfiksia (p=0,003), BBLR (p=0,000) dengan kematian neonatal.  Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan umur (p=0,624), pendidikan (0,222), paritas (0,073), jarak rumah ke fasilitas kesehatan (p=0,255), budaya (p=0,153). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara umur, pendidikan, paritas, jarak rumah ke fasilitas kesehatan, budaya. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jarak kehamilan, antenatal care, asfiksia, berat badan lahir rendah.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the quality of fresh milk physically, chemically and microbiologically obtained from cow, goats and buffalo in West Sumatra. The research method applied was laboratory experimental to analyze nutritional value, the number of aerobic bacteria and lactic acid bacteria, isolating and identifying lactic acid bacteria. Results showed that the nutritional value of milk had meet the requirements of Indonesian National Standardization, but the total colony of aerobic bacteria was above the allowed threshold of 1 x 106 CFU/ml. In addition, each sample had a total colony of varied lactic acid bacteria (LAB). The lowest total LAB value obtained in cow's milk was 0.84±0.18 x107 CFU/ml, in contrast to buffalo milk and goat milk which had a higher total LAB of 36.8±17.57 x107 CFU/ ml and 57.25±8.89 x107 CFU/ml. However, all the colonies showed almost identical morphology of LAB isolates. It is concluded that fresh milk from West Sumatra contains LAB therefore sanitation control is still needed during handling of milk.

Abstract

The program is conducted at Abe Farm Sari Bulan independent farm located in Sawah Padang, South Payakumbuh and Tapian Agam farm group in Koto Baru, Payobasuang, East Payakumbuh. The empowerment program aims to overcome the problem sales milk that are not optimal. Relatively short milk storage and can reduce nutrition and reduce the quality and selling price after storage. This problem can be overcome by several approaches, namely the learning method in the form of training and mentoring with the service team as a facilitator in solving problems. In this case, the empowerment program team implemented the making of kefir as a solution to the problems experienced by dairy farmers in Payakumbuh city. The purpose of this program are to increase farmers' knowledge about the diversity of milk processing, improve farmers' skills in making kefir and derivative products, increase the insight and motivation of farmers in developing dairy products that are directly marketed conventionally and online so that it has an impact on increasing farmers' income. The result of this program are to increase in farmers' income from the sale of fresh milk which was initially sold at Rp. 10,000/liter but after processing it into kefir the price reached Rp. 30,000/liter.

Abstract

This program is done to overcome the problems that occur in folk farmers and farmer groups in Sungai Kamuyang. Through discussions conducted with the community and the head of farmer groups facilitated by the headman of Sungai Kamuyang, the teams formulated several problems. Livestock waste that has not undergone maximum processing such as cow feces, urine and feed residue. Livestock waste is bulky and voluminous so that the use of the room is wide enough for storage and a disturbing aroma. The difficulty of obtaining forage, especially in the dry season and the low production of cultivated grasses planted by farmers around their cattle sheds, and the lack of skills of farmers in processing livestock waste is a problem that also occurs. Through this program, a solution was given, namely the creation of kefir Local Microorganism (LoM) by utilizing the remaining food and feces and urine of livestock through training and application of to cultivated grass. The final stage is to discuss the future marketing strategy for fertilizer as additional income for farmers. The purpose of this service was to increase the knowledge and skills of partner farmers in making Local Microorganism (LoM) as compost decomposers made from livestock waste, increase forage production through LoM based fertilization and increase farmers' income through selling LoM or decomposer compost using LoM. This program has given a progress to the pattern of people's livestock in Sungai Kamuyang.

Abstract

This study is about Urang Tuo Pasia, “The Fishermen Leader and Ocean Resources Conserver”. Urang Tuo Pasia is both a institution and a chief in traditional costums of a fishermen community in Bungus-Teluk Kabung, Padang, West Sumatra. Instead of Urang Tuo Pasia, he is also called as Angku (“father”) or Tuo Pasia (“the old fisherman”). The aim of the study is to find out the role of Urang Tuo Pasia in the problems of the integration among the fishermen and the conservation of the sea natural resources. This reveals as an important thing since from the historical perspective, many manuscripts note that Urang Tuo Pasia could have had outstanding role in solving the problems encountered by the local fishermen. The method used in this research is qualitative one. It is supported by multidimensional approaches to sharpen the analysis. They come from the field of anthropology, sociology, economics, and politics. From the various data found and analyzed, this research concludes hat theroleof Urang Tuo Pasia is running into stagnation. However, it local wisdom still remain.
