Abstract

The Church believed that her faith had social relevance. God, who is believed in, is responded to in concrete cultural and political situations. Therefore, the Church is no longer an isolated religious institution but integral to people's life experiences. Currently, the Indonesian nation is not only in a political crisis but also a crisis of political behavior. This crisis is exacerbated because the political elite has no shame in politics. Empirically, it is effortless to find examples of how there is no sense of shame because they have been guilty in society, and most prominently in the attitudes of political elites. It is no secret that many leaders and political elites are guilty of causing various crises, but when appearing in public, they do not show that they are guilty. Thus, this study aims to find the ethical values of the passion story of Jesus based on the Gospel of John. John presents the story of Jesus' passion for showing Jesus' empire as King through His "exaltation" on the Cross. Through this reading, leaders and public officials know and behave as leaders in front of the people. This research is a critical reading of the story of the passion of Jesus so that ethical points are found on how the political elite should act in the public sphere.

Abstract

Manusia pada hakikatnya adalah makhluk yang berelasi dan bermartabat. Menyadari hakikat tersebut, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat kasus kekerasan seksual di lingkungan Kampus dalam relasi Aku dan Liyan perspektif Armada Riyanto.Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan data penelitian kualitatif hasil wawancara yang kemudian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Penulis melihat bahwa kasus kekerasan seksual di lingkungan kampus memberikan gambaran yang sangat ironis. Kampus yang sebenarnya menjadi tempat menimba ilmu dan membina karakter manusia justru menjadi tempat terjadinya pelanggaran martabat manusia. Kekerasan seksual masih saja terjadi karena dalam relasi masih terpengaruh konsep patriarki yang melihat perempuan sebagai objek. Akibatnya, perempuan sering menjadi korban kekerasan seksual. Adapun temuan penulis ialah bahwa manusia adalah makhluk yang bermartabat termasuk melalui kebertubuhannya. Namun, seringkali manusia merusak martabat melalui tindakan yang melecehkan kebertubuhan manusia salah satunya yakni kekerasan seksual. Kekerasan seksual merupakan tindakan bersifat seksual yang bersifat melecehkan tubuh sesorang yang menjadi korban. Kekerasan seksual disebabkan oleh adanya relasi subjek-objek yaitu relasi yang memandang Liyan sebagai objek, bukan bagian dari Aku. Penanganan kasus kekerasan seksual diperlukan relasi intersubjektif (subjek-subjek). Relasi intersubjektif adalah relasi yang memandang Liyan sebagai bagian dari Aku. Singkatnya, kepenuhan Aku terdapat dalam Liyan. Relasi ini pula membantu pemerintah untuk merealisasikan peraturan yang telah dibuat yakni peraturan yang bermotif menjunjung tinggi martabat manusia.

Abstract

Fokus utama studi ialah untuk mendalami dan menggali makna dan nilai-nilai filosofis yang terkandung dalam ritus lamba wakos suku Rakas Manggarai Timur-Flores-NTT. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari studi ini yakni untuk menjadikan kearifan lokal ritus lamba wakos sebagai ritus yang memiliki kontribusi bagi kehidupan manusia di Indonesia terutama dalam usaha untuk membendung tindakan aborsi. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini ialah pendekatan filosofis fenomenologis dengan mendalami kearifan lokal yang menyangkut penghormatan terhadap awal kehidupan manusia dalam kaitannya dengan konsep martabat manusia Armada Riyanto. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mendalami ritus lamba wakos yakni melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan merujuk pada sumber wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Studi ini menemukan bahwa dalam ritus lamba wakos pengakuan terhadap martabat manusia mendapat tempat yang nyata, sebab janin diserahkan kepada perlindungan Mori Kraeng (Tuhan) sebagai wujud tertinggi. Janin diakui eksistensinya sebagai manusia sejak dalam kandungan ibunya. Ritus ini juga berkontribusi menumbuhkan kesadaran ibu hamil untuk selalu menjaga janinnya hingga kelahirannya sehingga dapat menangkal keinginan untuk mengaborsi anaknya.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine primordial issues in electoral political contestation in a plural Indonesian society. Electoral political contestation became a breeding ground for primordial issues. The majority wants to be led by a leader who is of the majority religion. Religious and tribal issues are used to win political contests. Indigenous and pagan narratives are echoed and lead to division. This aticle uses qualitative methodology with a leterer study approach referring to Emmauel Levinas' ethical theory of responsibility for analyzing data. The levinian ethic of responsibility expresses the idea of placing others as unique and different subjects altogether through their visible faces. The consequence is that the other must be respected and valued as subjects. At the same time the presence of others becomes the responsibility of "me", not absorbing others to equate with myself or even subjugate or master. Data is obtained from internet searches such as news and surveys conducted by LSI (Indonesian Survey Institute). This article finds that the understanding of politics is reduced only to the understanding of electoral political contestation alone. Poltik lost its meaning as a form of living together to achieve the common good (Bonum Commune). The article proposes that Indonesian education incorporate political education into the national education curriculum and multicultural education is further emphasized in schools so that primordial issues do not develop rapidly, and future generations can accept Indonesia's plural reality.

Abstract

Fokus paper ini menggali nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kearifan lokal masyarakat Topo Uma di desa Porelea, Kec. Pipikoro, Kab. Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah. Secara khusus Tarian Raego, ini merupakan tarian yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki dan perempuan dalam formasi melingkar sambil melantunkan syair-syair dalam bahasa Uma tua. Tujuan dari paper ini untuk menelusuri apakah pengandaian bahwa nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kearifan lokal masyarakat Indonesia itu sungguh-sungguh berakar dan dihayati secara khusus oleh masyarakat Topo Uma. Metode yang digunakan dalam riset ini kualitatif, dengan pendekatan filsafat fenomenologis perspektif Armada Riyanto yang diperoleh dari buku Kearifan Lokal~Pancasila:Butir-Butir Filsafat Keindonesiaan, juga dalam buku Relasionalitas dan Metodologi karyanya. Perspektif filosofis fenomenologis itu menyumbang interpretasi fenomenologis untuk menguraikan pengalaman dan penghayatan masyarakat Topo Uma. Temuan dalam riset ini, perkataan bahwa nilai-nilai Pancasila itu hidup dan berakar dalam kearifan lokal masyarakat bukan hanya sekadar slogan. Secara khusus sila pertama, itu meresapi dan dihayati dalam kehidupan masyarakat Topo Uma bahkan sebelum masuknya agama Kristen di sana seperti sebutan kepada entitas yang melampaui atau mengatasi, yaitu; Karampue Langi, Karampue Tana atau Topehila Ngkarawe Topejadi.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to see and reveal how the relationship of kaunan in Toraja society is. The author wants to see why kaunan is looked down upon in a society that basically they are human beings who think and feel. and the author also wants to see how the relationships that are built in their despised condition are. does kaunan not have uniqueness? Aren't they also unique creations? What phenomenon makes them looked down on so low? The methodology used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach, namely by allowing the subject to present himself as he is without any limiting ideas. Data were obtained by reading related literature and in-depth interviews. By using the perspective of Emmanuel Levinas, it will be seen how the causal relationality is. As the findings in this paper is that the relationship is a relationship of responsibility with the concept of family as responsibility for the presence of others. In line with what Levinas said, we must be responsible for the presence of the other (the other). Kaunan is looked down upon because of the universal idea. In the encounter between kaunan and To sugi', the relationship that is built is an asymmetrical relationship.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to explain the issue of the OPM-KKB rebellion against the TNI-Polri and civilians in Papua based on the ethical virtues of Alasdair Calmers MacIntyre. This act of rebellion was considered meaningless because it had a negative impact on civil society, the TNI-Polri, and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. According to Macintyre, the meaningfulness of an activity is related to honesty, trust, justice, and courage. This ethical virtue is important in creating the stability of shared life, especially in the context of the plurality of the Indonesian nation. The method used in this study is a literature study by exploring the news about the OPM-KKB rebellion which is contained in mass media such as newspapers, magazines, television, and the internet. The results showed that the OPM-KKB rebellion was meaningless based on Alasdair Calmers MacIntyre's concept of thought, because it did not meet the requirements of honesty, trust, justice and courage. In an effort to address this issue, several contributions from MacIntyre and researchers can be implemented. First, through narrative reconstruction to restore awareness that humans always interact and unite with other people in their lives, so that rebellions like the OPM-KKB are not repeated and individuals have clear goals in life. Second, by strengthening tradition, historical values that shape human consciousness as part of history can be realized and applied in common life. Third, through character education which aims to reduce the OPM-KKB rebellion movement and prevent provocation to the younger generation in Papua to join the movement, so that they love the land of the Republic of Indonesia even more. Through character education based on ethical virtues, the values of honesty, trust, justice and courage can be realized. In overcoming this problem, approaches through narrative reconstruction, strengthening traditions, and character education are important steps to create stability in living together and loving the homeland of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan suatu konsep Tuhan menurut orang Ngada, sebelum dipengaruhi oleh agama-agama besar dunia. Konsep ketuhanan ini dapat dikatakan sebagai bagian dari konsep yang berkontribusi pada sila pertama Pancasila. Tulisan ini berfokus pada empat poin penting yakni; panggilan atau sebutan, serta peran Tuhan dalam kehidupan konkrit, pengakuan adanya Tuhan dalam bentuk bangunan, dan salah satu pengakuan adanya Tuhan yang diaktualisasikan dalam upacara adat orang Ngada, serta kaitannya dengan Pancasila. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang bersumber pada studi kepustakaan. Ada beberapa hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan yakni; Pancasila merupakan hasil dari kristalisasi nilai primordial, sejak zaman purba bangsa Indonesia adalah bangsa yang ber-Tuhan, dan nilai-nilai Pancasila tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dengan yang lain. Pancasila sebagai satu kesatuan nilai yang mempersatukan perbedaan dan harus dipertahankan. Dari konsep ketuhanan dalam masyarakat Ngada, suatu penemuan yang menarik bahwa Pancasila pada hakikatnya berbasis pada budaya bangsa Indonesia sendiri, dan bukan berasal dari budaya atau bahkan kepercayaan tertentu. Pancasila tidak dapat dimonopoli atau diklaim sebagai milik dari suku, ras, agama dan bangsa tertentu.

Abstract

The main focus of this article is to explore the wealth of wisdom encapsulated in the proverb "Nai Ngalis Tuka Ngengga," which is ingrained in the culture of Hambor Manggarai. The goal of this writing is to make the local wisdom of Nai Ngalis Tuka Ngengga in the Hambor Manggarai culture a philosophical study to enhance the awareness of Indonesian society in living and interpreting their being in the midst of the community, particularly in embracing a narrative of peace. The concept of authenticity by Martin Heidegger emphasizes how Dasein, which is the human being aware of its existence in the world, plays a role in this context. In the exposition on authenticity, authentic Dasein becomes the answer to human forgetfulness of its existence in the world. In this context, "Being" describes the wisdom of the Manggarai people in understanding and embracing the Hambor culture in their daily lives. The research methodology used in this study is qualitative research with a literature review approach. The research findings indicate that the proverbial wisdom in embracing Hambor culture represents authentic consciousness in the community's celebration of the narrative of peace. This research contributes to addressing the conflicts present in society today, such as identity politics, conflicts related to the construction of places of worship, and widespread human rights violations due to a lack of understanding of the meaning of Hambor culture.
