Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) The Score of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of International Class Program (ICP) students of Science Education Study Program FMIPA UNM, 2) The Score of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of International Class Program (ICP) students in relation to the speed of answering questions. This is a descriptive quantitative research involved 18 students, with an instrument in the form of a Quizizz application-based test. Data were analyzed descriptive statistic based on the distribution of correct answer values and also the time to answer the science questions. The results of the research showed that: (1) The average score of higher order thinking skills of IPA ICP FMIPA UNM students was 42,8 in a medium category. The frequency of students were in the categories Very high was 0% , high was 17%, medium was 33%, low was 44% and Very low was 16%. (2) Students who answered at a moderate speed (21-30 seconds) had the highest average score of 66.67, indicating that moderate time management provides better results than a very fast speed (0-10 seconds) or very slow (≥41 seconds), with scores of 36.67% and 44.17% respectively. This research confirms that moderate management of answering time supports better learning outcomes. To improve HOTS abilities, it is recommended to implement problem-based learning and regular practice of HOTS questions.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance creativity, logic, and student interest in learning at SDN 11 Kota Barat, Gorontalo, through the implementation of gamification in geometry and measurement lessons. Conventional, monotonous teaching methods often result in low student motivation and difficulty in understanding the material, especially in geometry and measurement. Therefore, gamification was chosen as a solution to boost motivation and make learning more engaging and effective. The methods used include teacher training on gamification, development of media based on educational games, and direct implementation in the classroom. Students were involved in games that integrate the concepts of geometry and measurement to enhance their understanding interactively. Evaluations show that the application of gamification successfully increased student interest in learning, strengthened their understanding of the material, and encouraged greater student participation. Additionally, gamification also stimulated creativity and logical thinking in students when solving challenges related to the material. The results of this activity indicate that gamification not only increases student interest and involvement but also improves their understanding of difficult concepts. This activity provides a positive contribution to creating more interactive and enjoyable learning environments and can be applied to improve the quality of education in elementary schools. Intan Nuraini Suti, 2025. Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Geniuscard Berbasis Model Problem Based Learning Pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS Materi Jenis-Jenis Gaya di Kelas IV SDN 9 Kabila. Skripsi, Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Dengan pembimbing I Prof. Dr. Abdul Haris PanaI, S.Pd., M.Pd., MCE dan pembimbing II Rifda Mardian Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd., MCE. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengembangkan media pembelajaran Geniuscard yang layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS materi jenis-jenis gaya di kelas IV SDN 9 Kabila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangan media pembelajaran Geniuscard yang layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS materi jenis-jenis gaya di kelas IV SDN 9 Kabila. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model penelitian pengembangan ADDIE yaitu, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Untuk menguji kelayakan media Geniuscard dilakukan validasi kepada tim ahli. Berdasarkan validasi oleh para ahli dan pengguna, media Geniuscard memperoleh hasil rekapitulasi nilai rata-rata presentase 95,4% dan dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan oleh guru dan siswa di sekolah dasar. Dalam uji kepraktisan media Geniuscard, peneliti menggunakan instrument lembar observasi guru dengan presentase kepraktisan penggunaan media Geniuscard dalam pembelajaran mencapai 97,5%, yang termasuk kedalam kategori sangat praktis. Dalam keefektifan media Geniuscard pada saat penerapan media di kelas IV SDN 9 Kabila, guru membagikan soal pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur keefektifan media. Total nilai pretest adalah 720, sedangkan total nilai posttest mencapai 1454. Perhitungan N-Gain menunjukan nilai sebesar 0,67 yang termasuk dalam ketegori “Sedang”. Dengan hasil rekapitulasi ini maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media Geniuscard sangat efektif digunakan di sekolah dasar.

Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah “Apakah terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan media crossword puzzle terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS?” Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah “untuk mendeskripsikan adanya pengaruh model PBL berbantuan media crossword puzzle terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi magnet kelas V SDN 9 Limboto. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pre experimental design dengan rancangan One-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V, sampel yaitu 20 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 53 sedangkan post-test sebesar 81. Jika dibandingkan nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test maka nilai rata-rata post test lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata pre-test. Hasil pengujian hipotesis thitung = 5.176 > ttabel = 1.729. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan media crossword puzzle terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi magnet kelas V SDN 9 Limboto.

Abstract

Quality education requires innovative approaches to enhance student motivation, particularly in challenging subjects like spatial geometry. One technology that can support this is Augmented Reality (AR), which allows students to interact directly with three-dimensional objects. This study aims to examine the effect of an AR-based encyclopedia media on student motivation in elementary school learning. The research adopts a Pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach, involving 13 fifth-grade students from SDN 20 Pulubala, Gorontalo, as the sample. Data were collected through motivation questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the use of AR media significantly improves student motivation. Prior to the intervention, most students showed low to moderate motivation, but after using AR, the majority demonstrated increased motivation, reaching very high and high levels. A paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference in motivation before and after the intervention (p ≤ 0.05). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of AR-based encyclopedia media is effective in enhancing student motivation, positively impacting their understanding of spatial geometry. This study also contributes to the development of technology-based educational curricula to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of elementary school students towards the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This research method uses a survey method. The subjects of the study consisted of 162 student respondents from seven elementary schools, namely SD Laboratorium UNG, SDN 27 South City, SDN 30 South City, Gorontalo City, SDN 50 Dumbo Raya, SDN 11 West City, SDN No. 40 Hulontalangi, Gorontalo, SDN 29 South City District. The data collection technique used a questionnaire technique which was distributed directly to students in these schools. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics by calculating the percentage of each indicator. The results showed that the indicator with the highest positive response was "The teacher provides real examples of easy-to-understand science material" at 78.15%. The indicator with the lowest percentage was found in the statement "I can choose learning activities in learning according to my wishes," with only 44.82%. The positive response results were 63.89%, neutral responses were 21.12% and negative responses were 15.09%.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are describing to 1) Students of SMP IT Mutiara response to the use of Science Teaching Module, 2) Students of SMP Muhammadiyah Makassar response to the use of Science Teaching Module, 3) All Students response to the Science Teaching Module. This research used a quantitative approach using a descriptive methodology. The population are students of SMP IT Mutiara IT and SMP Muhammadiyah Makassar registered in the 2022–2025 academic year who use scientific teaching modules provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture are the research population. This research used random sampling techniques. The data was collected by questionnaire. The results of this study showed that 1) The response of students at SMP IT Mutiara to the science teaching module are 20% in very good category, 61% in good category, 16% in moderate category 2) The response of students at Muhammadiyah Makassar to the science teaching module are 34% in very good category, 37% in good category, 7% in moderate category and 12% in bad category 3) The response of All students in both school in this research are 27% in very good category, 49% in good category, 17% in moderate category, and 8% in bad category.
