Abstract

This article explores how the Kitab Kuning media in student dormitories can influence and deepen their religious understanding. This study aims to analyze the role of the Kitab Kuning in increasing religious insight and its impact on the spiritual life of students in the dormitory environment. The research method involves a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results of the study confirm that the Kitab Kuning makes a positive contribution to understanding complex religious concepts, provides tools for students to overcome religious dilemmas, and strengthens their recognition of religious identity

Abstract

This article examines the new dimension of workplace spirituality and its influence on the organizational climate and employee work productivity at State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI). This research used an exploratory mixed methods design. The investigation began with qualitative data collection through in-depth interview techniques, participant observation, and document study, then continued with quantitative research through survey techniques with a sample of 372 people as respondents from 17 IHEs spread throughout Indonesia. Data analysis uses correlation analysis, regression, and path analysis. The findings suggest that a new dimension discovered in workplace spirituality is devotion. The research results show that the higher the workplace spirituality, the higher the organizational climate and employee productivity. Work productivity strengthens the influence of workplace spirituality on organizational climate. This provides empirical evidence that high employee productivity and workplace spirituality will influence and impact the corporate environment. By improving the quality of workplace spirituality, the organizational climate becomes conducive, thereby increasing employee work productivity.

Abstract

The current implementation of learning supervision tends to focus on just one supervision technique, namely supervision of class visits, which indicates that there is no opportunity for a supervisor to introduce innovations about learning to teachers. The tendency for the implementation of educational supervision to be carried out by supervisors who lack professionalism in their current work is also based more on the relationship between superiors and subordinates. The condition of this relationship does not foster a partnership between the supervisor and the party being supervised. The research uses R & D research, and aims to produce a Learning Evaluation Model product as an effort to increase teacher professionalism in controlling the quality of education in Lampung Province. Research data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. the research steps are: 1) preliminary research, 2) theoretical studies, 3) product/prototype design, 4) expert validation, 5) model revision; After receiving input from the rater, the researcher revised the prototype; 6) Limited Group Test, 7) Model Revision, 8) Large Group Test. The results of the study show that the real conditions in the implementation of learning supervision in increasing teacher professionalism for controlling the quality of education are still not optimal, especially in mentoring and coaching by school principals so that there are still many obstacles both internally and externally. The results of the study also show that the development of the concept of learning supervision models in increasing teacher professionalism is very necessary in order to control the quality of education so that it continues to be better. Based on the results of the research findings and discussion, there are many weaknesses in the implementation of learning supervision in increasing teacher professionalism and by taking into account all the facts and phenomena that develop in the field, the authors propose a model of learning supervision in increasing teacher professionalism which is a systematic hypothetical.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas dinamika pendidikan Islam pada masa Khulafaur Rasyidin sebagai periode penting dalam sejarah peradaban Islam. Setelah wafatnya Nabi Muhammad SAW, para khalifah — Abu Bakar, Umar, Utsman, dan Ali — melanjutkan misi pendidikan Nabi dengan memperluas sistem dan jangkauan pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi pustaka untuk menelusuri perkembangan lembaga pendidikan seperti masjid, kuttab, serta metode dan tujuan pembelajaran pada masa tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam di era Khulafaur Rasyidin bersifat dinamis, integratif, dan berorientasi pada nilai, dengan menyeimbangkan pembinaan moral, pengembangan intelektual, serta tanggung jawab sosial. Masa ini menjadi fondasi utama bagi tumbuhnya sistem pendidikan Islam pada masa-masa berikutnya

Abstract

This study aims to explore the values ​​of early Islamic education reflected in the local religious study tradition and its relevance as an alternative educational model in the contemporary era. Early Islamic education has become a primary foundation for the formation of Muslim civilization and character, emphasizing the balance between knowledge, faith, and morals. The local religious study tradition in Indonesia is a legacy of classical Islamic education that maintains spiritual, moral, and social values ​​in community-based learning practices. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a (library research) method that focuses on exploring the concepts, values, and relevance of early Islamic education as reflected in the local religious study tradition. Primary data were obtained from classical Islamic literature such as traditional books, works of previous scholars, and historical sources related to the early Islamic education system. Meanwhile, secondary data include research results, scientific journals, academic books, and contemporary writings relevant to the theme of local religious study and modern Islamic education. The results show that local religious study contains authentic Islamic values ​​such as sincerity, exemplary behavior, togetherness, and respect for knowledge. These values ​​not only reflect the spirit of classical Islamic education but are also relevant for application in contemporary education systems that tend to be rational and individualistic. The local religious study tradition has the potential to become a holistic alternative educational model because it integrates cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects within a single learning process. Therefore, revitalizing early Islamic educational values ​​through the local religious study tradition can be a solution for shaping students' religious and social character amidst the challenges of modernization and globalization.

Abstract

This article examines the intellectual transformation of Islam, focusing on the 13th-century scientific legacy and the challenges facing Islamic education in today's digital age. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, which examines various literature related to the history of classical Islamic scholarship as well as the development of digital technology and its impact on Islamic education in the Digital Age. This study highlights how the 13th-century Islamic intellectual tradition, which integrated religious and scientific knowledge and developed the madrasah education system, has become a crucial foundation for facing the changing times. In the digital age, Islamic education faces various challenges such as disparities in technological access, low digital literacy among educators and students, and the risk of distortion of Islamic values ​​due to the dissemination of unfiltered digital content. However, the digital era also opens up significant opportunities through the use of e-learning platforms, artificial intelligence technology, project-based learning, and social media as a means of interaction and collaboration. The study concludes that the success of the transformation of Islamic education in the digital age depends heavily on the ability to balance the preservation of classical intellectual heritage with technological adaptation, thereby creating a generation of Muslims with integrated intellectual and spiritual intelligence and capable of facing global challenges. This research provides strategic recommendations for Islamic educational institutions to optimize digital technology effectively and ethically, in order to improve the quality of learning and the practice of Islamic values ​​amidst the dynamics of the times.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyse the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving learning quality. Using a qualitative, descriptive case study design, the research explored how TQM principles were integrated into school management and instructional practices. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, six teachers, one administrative staff member, and two parents. The findings reveal that TQM is implemented through participatory Leadership, teacher empowerment, effective management of learning facilities, and continuous evaluation based on the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle. Leadership plays a crucial role in coordinating teacher collaboration and sustaining school improvement. Teacher empowerment is fostered through training, mentoring, and reflective discussions. The management of learning facilities and infrastructure demonstrates adaptive use of limited resources supported by community involvement. Evaluation is conducted systematically to ensure continuous feedback and improvement. The study concludes that implementing TQM has created a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. The research implies that TQM principles can be effectively adapted in resource-limited schools through participatory management, reflective evaluation, and community partnerships to strengthen sustainable quality assurance in education.

Abstract

Islamic education has strong historical roots since the era of the Khulafaur Rasyidin, where the education system began to develop in a structured manner and was oriented towards the formation of morals and the strengthening of religious knowledge. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Khulafaur Rasyidin to the formation of the Islamic education system and its implications for the management of madrasas in the modern era. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with a library research approach through a review of relevant classical and contemporary sources. The results show that each caliph had a unique contribution: Abu Bakr as-Shiddiq emphasized the preservation of the Qur'an, Umar bin Khattab developed the educational administration system and teacher deployment; Uthman bin Affan perfected the codification of the Qur'an as an educational standard; and Ali bin Abi Thalib strengthened moral education and critical reasoning. These findings show that the Islamic education system during the Khulafaur Rasyidin era emphasized the integration of spiritual, intellectual, and moral values. The main argument of this research is that the educational model developed during that period can be used as a basis for strengthening the madrasa curriculum which is oriented towards the formation of Islamic character and leadership which is adaptive to the changing times

Abstract

This article explores the relevance and potential adaptation of the Nizamiyah Madrasa curriculum within the context of contemporary Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Established in the 11th century, the Nizamiyah system is recognized as a structured, flexible, and integrative model of Islamic education that successfully produced renowned scholars and contributed significantly to the development of Islamic civilization. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing historical and educational literature related to Islam ic curriculum development. The findings indicate that current PAI faces several challenges, including centralized curriculum design, cognitively biased evaluation, fragmented disciplines, and limited teacher autonomy. By adapting the core principles of the Nizamiyah curriculum such as modular structures, interdisciplinary integration, the teacher's role as a spiritual guide, and holistic evaluation PAI can evolve into a more contextual, transformative, and future-oriented educational system. Abstract

Dikotomi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum masih menjadi tantangan dalam pendidikan Islam, meski tradisi klasik justru menegaskan kesatuan epistemologis berbasis tauhid. Penelitian ini bertujuan menelusuri akar historis integrasi ilmu, faktor kemunculan dikotomi, serta relevansi model integrasi dalam pendidikan Islam modern. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi literatur terhadap sumber klasik, pemikiran tokoh kontemporer, dan hasil penelitian terbaru.Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dikotomi ilmu tidak berasal dari tradisi Islam, tetapi muncul akibat dinamika politik dan sosial pada masa kemunduran intelektual. Model integrasi ilmu yang dikembangkan di era modern terbukti mampu meningkatkan relevansi pendidikan Islam, menghubungkan sains dan nilai spiritual, serta mendukung pembentukan peserta didik yang holistik. Integrasi ilmu menjadi pendekatan kunci bagi pendidikan Islam agar adaptif terhadap tuntutan zaman tanpa kehilangan landasan teologisnya
