Abstract

This service activity aims to provide information about the development of AI in the world of education and the use of AI information technology to support learning activities. The target of the activity is teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap. The activity was carried out for 1 day with stages of preparation, problem solving, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. The focus of implementing this activity is the introduction of AI tools that are easy to use and focused on how to utilize information technology to improve teacher performance.  The results of the training on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education at SMA Negeri 1 Sidrap went smoothly and will help create a learning environment that is more effective, efficient and responsive to the needs of students and teachers.

Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze the impact of the Project Based Learning model in the Information Systems Design Analysis course on student competencies within the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering. The study applies an ex post facto design combined with a descriptive-correlational quantitative method. Data collection involved interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The independent variable is Project Based Learning, and the dependent variable is student competence. The total population consisted of 338 students, from which a sample of 77 was selected using the Slovin formula. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that most students fall into the medium (34%) and high (21%) competence categories. The simple linear regression test produced a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect between the independent and dependent variables. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.760 signifies a strong connection between the variables, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.578 demonstrates that 57.8% of the variance in student competence is explained by Project Based Learning, with the remaining 42.2% attributed to other external factors.

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation in higher education requires lecturers to demonstrate strong Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK), especially when implementing Project-Based Learning (PjBL). However, limited empirical evidence exists on how students perceive lecturers’ digital-integrative competence within project-based contexts in Southeast Asia. This study aims to examine students’ perceptions of lecturers’ TPACK competence in integrating digital technology within PjBL settings. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 42 engineering students at Universitas Negeri Makassar. Descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation analyses were conducted across seven TPACK dimensions. Results revealed that students rated lecturers’ TPACK competence from moderate to high, with the strongest correlation between Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and overall TPACK (rₛ = 0.809, p < 0.001). This finding underscores the importance of combining pedagogical and content expertise to enhance digital instruction. The study implies that institutional training focused on pedagogical–technological integration may further strengthen lecturers’ digital teaching performance.

Abstract

The Nobel Institute of Technology and Business Indonesia uses EdLink in learning management, but the system has not been validated through user experience, so it is not known to what extent student satisfaction is in using it. This study was made to test student satisfaction in using the information system. Through the User Experience Quissionare (UEQ) method to 100 students as respondents. The UEQ assessment goes through 6 aspects, including efficiency, attractiveness, accuracy, clarity, stimulation, and novelty. The results obtained from the aspect of the accident received the lowest score among other aspects. While the highest aspect is the efficiency aspect.

Abstract

The LP3M Assignment Letter Management System is a forum for the academic community to submit letters such as resource person assignment letters, research, and also service. This system was created to make it easier for users to submit letters, because previously it was only manual. The LP3M assignment letter management system plays an important role in the process of managing, storing, and providing information related to lecturers' assignment letters at the Nobel Institute of Technology and Business Indonesia. The information stored on this website is sensitive and requires adequate protection. Therefore, the security analysis of the LP3M assignment letter website is a very important thing to do to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and data availability. The large number of users accessing allows one to steal personal data from users. So this research aims to analyze the security of the system using OWASP ZAP. There are 9 vulnerabilities detected in the LP3M mail management system. The test results on the system were obtained high 0, medium 64, low 176. The total number of security vulnerabilities found amounted to 240.

Abstract

Fire disasters remain a major threat in Indonesia, especially in dense housing, offices, and industrial zones. Delayed detection leads to heavy property losses and fatalities, since blazes are often noticed only after flames grow and smoke spreads. This study introduces an IoT early warning system combining an MQ-2 smoke sensor and a DS18B20 temperature sensor on a NodeMCU ESP8266. Using the ADDIE model—analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation—the prototype was built and tested in laboratory simulations. Tests show the MQ-2 detects smoke at ?400 ppm, while the DS18B20 measures temperatures ?60 °C with ±0.5 °C precision. The dual-sensor setup delivers over 95 % accuracy, alerts within two minutes, and keeps false alarms below 5 %, providing an effective and economical tool for urban fire mitigation. Its low-cost components and Wi-Fi connectivity enable real-time alerts to smartphones or control rooms, facilitating response and scalable deployment in communities.

Abstract

User data security innovation is a particular concern in protecting one's privacy rights, which is one of the serious violations when an attacker can bypass the user authentication so that it looks like something legitimate and becomes legal. Based on these issues, the research aims at optimizing and evaluating the blockchain-based authentication systems to minimize data leakage, manipulate the data, and modify the data. Blockchain is one of the innovations that can solve this problem. Data or transactions in the blockchain are saved in hash form to make it difficult for hackers to break into them. The Blockchain implementation uses the Solidity programming language to build smart contracts and other tools such as MetaMask, Ganache, and Truffle. The Network Forensics Development Life Cycle (NFLDC) is used as a framework with the following five stages: Initiation, Acquisition, Implementation, Operation, and Disposition. Based on the research conducted, the attack strategy against blockchain-based systems consists of several scenarios covering the Burp Suite, XSS, SQL Injection, and DoS. The results show that the percentage of authentication optimization reaches a value of 90.1%, and 8.9% is the percentage for evaluating systems such as the possibility of cyberattack. Abstract

Kesehatan mental remaja menjadi perhatian serius mengingat tingginya prevalensi masalah mental emosional yang mencapai 19,8% pada kelompok usia 15–24 tahun di Indonesia, khususnya pasca pandemi COVID-19. Rendahnya literasi kesehatan mental di lingkungan sekolah memperparah kondisi ini, terutama di daerah dengan akses layanan yang terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa tentang kesehatan mental melalui seminar interaktif bertajuk "Bangkit Bersama, Menuju Harapan: Menemukan Kekuatan dalam Diri" yang dilaksanakan di Madrasah Madani Alauddin PAO, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Sebanyak 25 siswa SMA menjadi peserta kegiatan yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan psikologi positif dengan aktivitas Pohon Harapan sebagai media refleksi diri. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test adaptasi General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12) serta instrumen kepuasan skala Likert. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor pemahaman kesehatan mental sebesar 66,5% (dari 47,2 menjadi 78,6) dan peningkatan skor skala kesehatan mental sebesar 100% (dari 12,4 menjadi 24,8). Seluruh peserta mengalami peningkatan kategori kesehatan mental setelah seminar. Tingkat kepuasan peserta mencapai rata-rata 4,32 dari skala 5, dengan aspek manfaat kegiatan mendapat nilai tertinggi. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa metode penyuluhan interaktif berbasis psikologi positif efektif meningkatkan literasi dan kesejahteraan mental remaja.

Abstract

Tekanan akademis yang tinggi di lingkungan sekolah kejuruan kerap memunculkan gejala stres, burnout emosional, dan penurunan kualitas belajar pada siswa remaja, namun literasi mereka terhadap strategi pengelolaan diri yang terukur masih sangat terbatas. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa SMKN 5 Makassar tentang praktik self-care dan mindfulness sebagai pendekatan preventif terhadap stres di lingkungan pendidikan. Mitra kegiatan adalah 50 siswa kelas X dan XI yang dipilih secara purposif atas rekomendasi guru Bimbingan dan Konseling. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam satu hari penuh dengan memadukan metode ceramah interaktif, praktik teknik mindfulness secara langsung, meliputi mindful breathing, body scan, dan positive self-talk, serta diskusi kelompok reflektif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan desain one-group pretest-posttest dengan instrumen 11 butir pernyataan berskala Likert 1 sampai 5 yang mencakup dimensi pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan niat penerapan self-care serta mindfulness. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata total skor peserta dari 38,48 pada pre-test menjadi 42,20 pada post-test, dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 9,66% dan nilai N-Gain Score sebesar 0,23. Peningkatan paling signifikan terjadi pada pemahaman konsep mindfulness dan manfaatnya dalam mengurangi stres, masing-masing mencapai kenaikan sebesar 21,2% dan 22,2%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan terstruktur berbasis praktik langsung efektif dalam membangun literasi kesehatan mental siswa kejuruan dan berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai program pendampingan berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah.
