Abstract

The post truth era has become a new vocabulary for cadres who never give up in following the times. But who would have thought that the post truth era would also lead to a dilemma that never ended after unsettling the cadre team in Cibeusi village. The cadre team that was incorporated from 3 RWs including RW 06, RW 014, and RW 015 also showed their dedication through regular social activities. Therefore, the authors use a qualitative approach through data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. The results obtained show the following; 1) designing social movements as an effort made by the Cibeusi cadre team in overcoming health information hoaks and the post truth era; 2) the Cibeusi cadre team's social movement implementation consists of 3 words, namely active, innovative, and creative; 3) cadre team social movements include communication programs in the form of counseling and training involving academics or related medical personnel as the main sources in providing literacy movement training programs; 4) Evaluation of the ongoing literacy movement as part of the success of the government health program output.

Abstract

Communication process occurs in every aspect of life, including family. When people interact to each other, sometimes it may lead to bullying. Bullying is not a new phenomenon, especially in family. Bullying means verbal and physical threat, force and violence which conduct repeatedly, for instance by the older children to their younger sister or brother. This is the uniqueness of this research. Family communication becomes main foundation to prevent bullying. Researcher see this phenomenon as a unique problem to be studied. Based on that phenomenon, researcher interested to study “Family Communication in Preventing Bullying Behavior for Children”. Result shows that family communication in preventing children’s bullying behavior covers: (1) In order to prevent bullying, an effective family communication process has to be strived, including respect, empathy, audible (2) Causative factor of bullying is inappropriate parenting in context of family communication. Proses komunikasi berlangsung dalam setiap aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam lapisan masyarakat dan lapisan keluarga. Ketika manusia melakukan interaksi satu sama lainnya, kadang-kadang mengarah pada perilaku bullying. Bullying bukanlah fenomena yang baru lagi, khususnya dalam sebuah keluarga. Bullying artinya ancaman, pemaksaan, kekerasan fisik maupun verbal yang dilakukan berulang-ulang, misalnya kakak kepada adiknya. Disinilah letak keunikan penelitian ini. Komunikasi keluarga menjadi pondasi utama untuk mencegah terjadinya perilaku bullying bagi anak. Peneliti melihat fenomena ini merupakan masalah yang unik dan menarik untuk diteliti. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk mengangkat “Komunikasi Keluarga dalam Pencegahan Perilaku Bullying bagi Anak”. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi keluarga dalam pencegahan perilaku bullying bagi anak meliputi: (1) Untuk mencegah bullying harus diupayakan proses komunikasi keluarga yang efektif yaitu: respek, empati, audible; (2) Adapun faktor penyebab terjadinya perilaku bullying adalah pengasuhan orangtua yang tidak tepat dalam konteks komunikasi keluarga

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang komunikasi terapeutik Islam yang terkandung dalam ibadah puasa. Ilmu kedokteran sekalipun, juga menganjurkan puasa sebagai metode penyembuhan. Oleh karena itu, penulis ingin mengetahui tentang makna puasa sebagai komunikasi terapeutik Islam bagi pengembangan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ini menunjukkan makna puasa sebagai komunikasi terapeutik Islam dalam pengembangan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Jika dikaji dari unsur komunikasi terapeutik Islam yang meliputi komunikator, pesan, media, komunikan, dan efek, ada unsur pesan dan efek yang menjadi temuan baru dalam penelitian ini bahwa ibadah puasa menjadi medium untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah SWT.; memberikan ketenangan jiwa (mental) dan membersihkan diri dari penyakit hati yang menyebabkan timbulnya penyakit medis akibat dari beban pikiran dan stres; membiasakan diri dalam mengatur pola makan yang sehat dan tidak berlebihan, sehingga menunjang kesehatan fisik; serta menjadi kontrol diri dalam menahan emosi dan menanamkan kesabaran, karena mereka merasa ada yang kurang, jika mereka melewatkannya. Abstract

Keluarga, sebuah kata yang kaya makna bagi individu yang memilikinya. Saking pentingnya, para anggota keluarga akan saling berbagi menyebarkan informasi kepada anggota keluarga lainnya, khususnya informasi kesehatan. Jika ada anggota keluarga yang sakit, maka anggota keluarga lainnya akan berupaya mencari informasi kesehatan tentang metode penyembuhan penyakit anggota keluarganya. Keunikan penelitian ini adalah penulis menemukan adanya upaya menciptakan nilai-nilai islami melalui penyebaran informasi kesehatan dalam keluarga urban. Melalui artikel ini, penulis mengangkat judul “Komunikasi dalam Menciptakan Nilai Islami melalui Penyebaran Informasi Kesehatan dalam Keluarga Urban”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jika ditinjau dari teknik komunikasi, komunikasi yang digunakan dalam menciptakan nilai islami melalui penyebaran informasi kesehatan adalah komunikasi persuasif. Internalisasi nilai islami yang ada yaitu penyebaran informasi kesehatan yang menganjurkan pengobatan dan pola hidup sehat berlandaskan pada Al Quran dan Ajaran Rasulullah SAW. Penyebaran informasi kesehatan tersebut dilakukan secara langsung (tatap muka) dan via media sosial yaitu whatsapp group keluarga.

Abstract

Good Islamic education leadership also requires good communication competence between leaders with their members. This can be seen from the leader's communication pattern in applying Islamic education leadership in his educational institution. In this era of modern society, it is familiar to see more women become leaders in their organization in Indonesia. The author examines the communication patterns of female figures in the leadership of Islamic education in the institution of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Bandung. This research uses a qualitative research method of a case study by conducting observations and in-depth interviews with five informants. The results of this study indicate that the communication pattern of the female figure in Islamic education leadership in the institution has certain characteristics that are different from other institutions. The verbal communication pattern conducted by the principal through the secretary uses a verbal language that implements Islamic teachings. In this early childhood institution, all decisions are held by the secretary because of Islamic values, the man who has the authority to give a decision on all activities in the early childhood. Nonverbal communication pattern in the form of Islamic nonverbal message applied by the principal through the concept of smile, regards, greetings, and courtesy become a culture within the institution of Islamic education.

Abstract

This article is the result of a study of health communication studies on HIV AIDS prevention and prevention by the Matahati Foundation in Pangandaran district. Like the iceberg phenomenon, the number of HIV AIDS in Pangandaran district is increasing, so that it attracts the attention of various parties, one of which is the Matahati Foundation. In this article, the method which used is qualitaitv method, in line with the aim of research that is describes the existence of a symbol used by the Matahati Foundation, namely the symbol "ZERO". If examined in communication studies, this ZERO symbol has a certain meaning in relation to the vision and mission of the Matahati Foundation itself. This was later revealed by the author in the discussion section of this article. The results showed that the symbol "ZERO" for the Matahati Foundation had several meanings, including: as a non-verbal message containing the meaning of the hopes of the Matahati Foundation in reducing the prevalence of HIV AIDS rates in Pangandaran district; the meaning of motivation for people with HIV AIDS to try to arrive at "ZERO" HIV AIDS, which means recovery; and the meaning of persuasion for the community to be together in order to achieve "ZERO" HIV AIDS in Pangandaran district. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian kajian komunikasi kesehatan tentang pencegahan dan penanggulangan HIV AIDS yang dilakukan Yayasan Matahati di kabupaten Pangandaran. Layaknya fenomena gunung es, angka HIV AIDS di kabupaten Pangandaran semakin meningkat, sehingga menarik perhatian berbagai pihak, salah satunya adalah Yayasan Matahati. Dalam artikel ini, metode penelitian yang relevan digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, sebagaimana tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menggambarkan tentang adanya sebuah simbol yang digunakan oleh Yayasan Matahati, yaitu simbol “ZERO”. Jika diteliti dalam kajian komunikasi, simbol ZERO ini memiliki makna tertentu kaitannya dengan visi misi dari Yayasan Matahati sendiri. Hal tersebut yang kemudian diungkapkan penulis dalam bagian pembahasan artikel ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simbol “ZERO” bagi Yayasan Matahati tersebut memiliki beberapa makna, di antaranya: sebagai pesan non verbal yang berisi makna harapan Yayasan Matahati dalam menurunkan prevalensi angka HIV AIDS di kabupaten Pangandaran; makna motivasi bagi para penyandang HIV AIDS agar berupaya untuk sampai pada “ZERO” HIV AIDS, yang berarti sembuh; dan makna persuasi bagi masyarakat untuk bersama-sama dalam rangka mencapai “ZERO” HIV AIDS di kabupaten Pangandaran.

Abstract

Kindergarten (PAUD) as a second learning vehicle after the family environment for early childhood, gives a distinct impression for those who experience it. As a place to play while learning that is full of educational values, it should provide varied learning. Especially in the current digital era, early childhood learning media must also be developed. This is the reason we carry out Community Service (PkM) activities targeting early childhood children in an early childhood education center located in Ciparagejaya village, Karawang district. Its location close to the coast, becomes a learning vehicle for the people who are there. Therefore, we also carried out PkM activities with the title "Improving Early Childhood Creativity through Games as Creative Learning Media Education in PAUD Ciparagejaya Village, Karawang Regency". The purpose of implementing PkM is to increase the creativity of early childhood in the PAUD environment through creative learning media education. The PkM method used is the roleplay method and the participatory method, where children are directly involved in learning activities through games as a form of creative learning media education. The results obtained indicate the active participation of children in the learning process, train children's creativity through creative learning media stimuli, and instill moral values in the form of honesty, self-confidence, as well as perseverance and enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

Autism Home Karawang’s branch is the most popular children's special needs school in Karawang society. This school also applies the ABA and individual methods during the learning process because these two methods have been applied to an autistic child and its development has been proven to be faster. This study aims to determine the instructional communication used in the teaching and learning process at Autism Home Karawang, to find out the reasons for using the ABA and individual methods in teaching autistic children at Autism Home Karawang, and to find out what factors support and inhibit the teaching and learning process at Autism Home Karawang. This research provides new findings in the field of educational communication research, particularly regarding learning strategies that can be used by teachers in teaching schools for children with special needs. This research method is qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection techniques are through observation, deep interviews, and documentation. The informant in this study amounted to 6 persons. The result of this study is that the implementation of both methods is quite easy to apply, and makes the child develop quickly. These two methods are applied because they are easy to implement and have been proven to help.

Abstract

AEC teachers are those who have taught English in a school called Armidale English College. They also have been exposed enough with English language and its culture. AEC has a program of sending its teachers to Australia with a mission to improve their English skills and to gain cultural studies for three months. These English teachers were expected to have a high ability to communicate well in English, they were also expected to be prepared in cultural differences, in fact, what they experienced was far from the expectations for most people. They actually experienced culture shock in Australia. The purpose of this study is to acknowledge the communication challanges and how they experienced the culture shock in Australia. This study was conducted through a qualitative research using case study approach. Data collection techniques consisted of in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results of the research on the communication challenges by AEC teachers mostly came from themselves and the language which consisted of 1) the accent 2) slang words, 3) vocabularies, and 4) conversation topics. The culture shock they experienced consisted of 1) different mindset 2) openness 3) use of profanity words and 4) life habits. The results also emphasized that overcoming cultural shock does not only focus on having language skills, but also having cultural competence and intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to find out psychologist therapeutic communication in dealing with deliberate self-harm clients in 3 research question. This study uses a phenomenological approach. In collecting data, researchers used an interview technique with five informants who were psychologists that practiced and domiciled in Bandung. The results of this study indicate the meaning of a DSH client for a psychologist into three meanings, those who have irrational thoughts, people that have fragile emotion, and those whose emotions are hidden or looking for attention. The experience of psychologist therapeutic communication in dealing with DSH clients is found in 4 major themes: techniques for building therapeutic relationships with clients, the key to understanding clients: active listening, being careful with non- verbal messages, feedback: reserved question. The psychologist's way of handling DSH clients is by handling it like a tailormade (adjusted to the personality and problems of the clients)
