Abstract

ABSTRACTGamification plays a large role in increasing learning motivation and other activities. This study aims to determine the role of gamification in increasing intrinsic motivation. A total of 60 research subjects were divided into two parts, namely 30 subjects intervened with gamification and 30 other subjects without gamification in online learning. This treatment was given in 12 learning meetings. In addition, as many as 125 respondents, some of whom were treated subjects, were involved in filling out the questionnaire about the relationship between gamification and intrinsic motivation. Of the 125 respondents, it was found that 60% believed that gamification could increase intrinsic motivation, 37% expressed doubt and 3% said no. Based on the test results of respondents who were tested with one way ANOVA, it was found that there was no significant difference (p> 0.05) between the groups that were given gamification and without gamification. Respondents also 47.2% stated that they were not sure that gamification could increase test scores, although 46.4% said they were sure. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the gamification intervention can increase the intrinsic motivation of the learning participants, but it does not automatically increase the test scores.Key Words : Gamification, intrinsic motivation, test scoresABSTRAKGamifikasi banyak berperan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan aktivitas lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi intrinsic. Sebanyak 60 subjek penelitian yang dibagi atas dua bagian yaitu 30 subjek diintervensi dengan gamifikasi dan 30 lainnya tanpa gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran online. Perlakuan tersebut diberikan dalam 12 kali pertemuan pembelajaran. Selain itu sebanyak 125 responden, dimana sebagian merupakan subjek yang diberi perlakuan, dilibatkan dalam pengisian kuisener tentang hubungn gamifikasi dengan motivasi intrinsik. Dari 125 responden diperoleh 60% yakin bahwa gamifikasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik, 37% menyatakan ragu dan 3% menyatakan tidak. Berdasarkan hasil ujian responden yang diuji dengan one way anova , diperoleh hasil tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan (p>0,05) antara kelompok yang diberikan gamifikasi dan tanpa gamifikasi. Responden juga 47,2% menyatakan tidak yakin gamifikasi dapat meningkatkan nilai ujian, walaupun 46,4% menyatakan yakin. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi gamifikasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik peserta pembelajaran, tetapi tidak otomatis dapat meningkatkan nilai hasil ujian.Kata kunci : Gamifikasi, motivasi intrinsik, nilai ujian

Abstract

Halangan pada Line of Sight (LOS) dapat menyebabkan difraksi (pembelokan), refleksi (pemantulan), dan scattering (penghamburan) pada sinyal informasi dimana akan mengurangi kualitas sinyal informasi yang diterima pada sisi penerima. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan adanya sifat konstruktif maupun destruktif pada sinyal di sisi penerima. Contoh sifat destruktif yang sering terjadi yakni fading dan delay. Sistem penerima correlation receiver diimplementasikan guna mengatasi masalah yang timbul akibat efek dari multipath fading. Untuk memperoleh sinyal dengan nilai error minimum, maka diperlukan analisis terkait proses transmisi pada masing-masing komponen multipath. Hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa unjuk kerja dari Kode PN (Pseudo Noise) pada kanal frequency selective fading yang lebih baik adalah variasi komponen multipath = 3 dibandingkan dengan variasi komponen multipath = 6 dan yang paling buruk adalah variasi komponen multipath = 7. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan melihat nilai Bit Error Rate (BER) saat Energy Per Bit To Noise Power Spectral Density Ratio (Eb/No) = 10 dengan komponen multipath = 3 memiliki nilai BER 0,00368, sedangkan komponen multipath = 6 dan komponen multipath = 7 memiliki nilai BER berturut – turut adalah 0,00386 dan 0,00507. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat diambil simpulan bahwa jumlah komponen multipath yang ada berpengaruh terhadap kualitas sinyal yang diterima.

Abstract

Historical manuscripts are one of documents that important to be preserved because they contain a lot of information, one example of them is script as the historical documents . Historical document mostly still use handwriting in so many reserch. Currently, there are many research regarding the preservation of characters. One way of preservation that can be used is the digitization process. Digitizing’s process tanable by recognizing existing information using technology. The technology that can be used is machine learning. Handwriting is a complex case because of the many variations of these characters and the output of the author where variations of the author will produce different writings. The relevant fields for text and documents are Optical Chacarter Recognition (OCR) and handwriting recognition. There are several methods that can be used in the machine learning process, including Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Both of these methods are methods that can accept complex image input to be processed and recognized, therefore this method is highly recommended for processing handwriting.

Abstract

This paper presents proposed handover scenarios for a heterogeneous network comprising mobile worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access and Wireless Local Area Network segments. Homogenous handover scenarios for a mobile WiMAX network are also considered to allow a comparative analysis. A mobile node supporting voice traffic is analysed, when operating in a half-cell overlap coverage scenario, for both pedestrian and vehicular speeds. All proposed handover scenarios are assessed and validated through system-level Media Independent Handover network simulations. Results for both homogenous and heterogeneous handover show that the handover delay and jitter are within the acceptable values published by the WiMAX Forum. For heterogeneous handover, the packet loss is negligible for all cases; however, there were significant occurrences of packet loss in throughput for homogenous handover at vehicular speeds. This is due to the fact that the implementation of an adaptive channel scanning algorithm to allocate scanning intervals can limit communication disruptions.

Abstract

Clock skew is the deviation of the clock from the true time, which makes it an important role in time information. Clock skew is unavoidable and causes each clock to run at a different speed, so there is a very slight difference between them, but it can still be observed properly. The known properties of clock skew make it potential research for many experts, such as Paxson, Aoki, and Huang. To produce a more accurate clock skew measurement, this study uses the ant colony optimization method by adopting the behavior of an ant colony in searching for food by choosing the path with the shortest route, which will become the cluster offset as a material for measuring clock skew. Ant colony optimization method has the most potential to be adapted in clock skew measurement because the cluster offset is not affected by the upper and the bottom outliers to produce an accurate clock skew measurement.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a virus that attacks the respiratory system, has a negative impact on health. The impact of the pandemic is the reduced number of tourists visiting the island of Bali, making sources of income very limited. This directly has a detrimental impact on hotel managers in Bali. With the policy of reducing the number of employees, it is clearly detrimental to all parties and we can see that several hotel facilities have been damaged, one of which is in the garden. In this final project, a garden watering system based on the Internet of Things was designed using ESP8266. This system works according to a programmed watering schedule, rain sensor readings, and soil moisture sensors. The tool will water the garden when the time conditions are met, the rain sensor detects the absence of rain around the park and also when the relay is active, it flows voltage to the solenoid valve to open the water flow to the Sprinkler. Then the watering data will be sent to the Thingspeak cloud which will also be accessible by applications on smartphones. Monitoring information will be displayed on the LCD and also the application on the smartphone. An IoT-based automatic hotel garden watering system prototype using ESP8266 is able to run according to design.

Abstract

The computational load and implementation costs of a system are affected by its complexity. The Fast Fourier Transform(FFT).algorithm use in an OFDM system necessitates intensive calculations, which affects the computational load and system complexity. There is a Very Fast Fourier Transform(VFFT) algorithm which has lower complexity than the FFT, and can replace FFT with Floating-Point accuracy. The aim of this study is to determine the performance of the OFDM system by using the FFT and VFFT algorithms over the AWGN channel, based on parameter value of BER vs. Eb/No. According to the simulation results, show that the OFDM (FFT) system has a better BER value, where when Eb/No reaches 6 dB the BER value is less than 10-2, while the OFDM(VFFT) system with a BER value is 10-2, but still has almost the same trend. This is because there is non uniform row gain in the OFDM(VFFT) system. However, with this weakness, OFDM(VFFT) can minimize the complexity of the OFDM system.

Abstract

Rice field irrigation is still done manually by farmers in opening and closing waterways, so it takes farmers time to manage waterways. In this study, a system was created with two types of devices, namely the sender and the receiver. The sending device consists of ArduinoUNO, Soil Moisture Sensor, Water Level Float Switch, and LoRa Ra-02 SX1278. Then, the receiver consists of NodeMCU ESP8266, LoRa Ra-02 SX1278, Relay, Water Pump. After testing, the system can send notifications to the user when the rice fields are dry or the rice fields are full, the pump can automatically turn on and turn off and the user also can turn the pump on or off via Telegram Bot. User can also command the device to operate automatically via Telegram Bot.

Abstract

Improved wireless communication system generate the various advanced technologies, one of which is spread spectrum technique. This technique working by multiplying dots bits information which have a large period with spreading code that have a smaller periode, which makes bit periode will follow the code periode. In order to maximize performance of this technique, an efficient code is required to reduce the occurrence of interference. The purpose of this study was to see how the variation of multipath components affected the work of the orthogonal gold code. This study compares BER vs. Eb/No for multipath components 10, 15, and 20 using code length 32, 8 users, and BPSK modulation. The multipath component 10 exhibits the best BER value, which is impacted by the degree of interference indicated by the size of the ACF value. and CCF on a non-zero shift.

Abstract

Subak is a group of farmers in Bali to manage rice fields irrigation. Farmers come directly to the rice fields which need time to monitor their fields irrigation so that it’s less efficient. Based on this, an Android-based subak irrigation monitoring application was designed using the flutter framework with subak culture system for monitoring farmers fields irrigation and using supporting application namely Android Studio. The result of this research is an Android application that can display the location of the rice fields that registered, successfully sends a high water request, successfully sends a request for registration of subak fields, and successfully reports damages in case of damages to the fields and also successfully retrieves data on the condition of rice fields whose data is taken from the Antares database. The Black-box testing and System usability scale (SUS) used in the Android application has been successfully run according to the given scenario and functions and also suitable for use by users because the result of SUS are above the average value that is 72.875.
