Abstract

The objectives of this research are to analyse trend of the open unemployment and educated unemployment, also to examine the effect of wage rate, per capita income and employment of the educated unemployment in Jambi Province. This study was done in the Jambi Province, using the time series data from year 1990 to 2009, and to analyse the data used multiple regression with helped  SPSS program version 17. The results of study show that in periode of observation, the open unemployment rate in Jambi Province is 5.4 percent from total labor force, with 79.5 percent are educated unemployment. The regression model found that an educated unemployment determined by wage rate, per capita income, Formal sector employment and Informal sector employment. But partially,  the wage rate and Formal sector employment have negative effect on the educated unemployment, while per capita income and Informal sector employment have  positive effect on educated unemployment in Jambi Province.   Keywords: educated unemployment, wage rate, per capita income, Formal sector employment and Informal sector employment.

Abstract

The objectives of this reseach are to analyse the impact of the Indonesia moratorium migrant workers sending policy toward the growth of Indonesia migrant workers and the upgrade of migrant workers quality. This study was done in Indonesia, using the time series data from year 2005 to 2012. To analyse the data used linier regression with helped SPSS program. The results of study showed that in periode of observation, the Indonesia migrant workers decline average 4.15 percent, with the highest decline of Indonesia migrant workers growth are workers who works in Malaysia and Arabian Saudi. The regression model was founded that the Indonesia moratorium migrant workers sending policy have the impact in reduce the Indonesia migrant workers in Informal Sector, but not yet have the impact to upgrade the quality of migrant workers.Keywords : Indonesian migrant workers, Moratorium migrant workers sending policyHalaman

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyse the growth of Indonesia migrant workers, and to analyse of remitance growth, also to examine the effect of employment, destination state of the remitance of Indonesia migrant workers.  This study was done in Indonesia, using the pooled data from year 2009 to 2011, on 14 state destination of Indonesia migrant workers, and to analyse the data used multiple regression with helped SPSS program version 17. The results of study show that in periode of observation, the Indonesia migrant workers decline average 0.2 percent, while the remitance of Indonesia migrant workers growth with 0.6 percent. The regression model found that the remitance of Indonesia migrant workers determined by workers migrant in Formal sector, workers migrant in Informal Sector, and Destination State of migrant workers.
