Abstract

Abstract:Counselling given by Christian counsellors is a form of service provided to the community. In this research, the researcher tried to formulate several research questions, including what are the challenges faced by Christian counsellors in the North Tapanuli district? What are the strategies used by Christian counsellors in implementing counselling programs during the pandemic? What is the relevant counselling strategy that can be implemented in the COVID-19 pandemic? The purpose of this study was to reveal challenges experienced by Christian counsellors in the North Tapanuli region. From this research, the description of challenges experienced by Christian counsellors was obtained, as well as the strategies that had been implemented in doing counselling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The highlight of this study was to find the most relevant strategy or model of counselling to the context of North Tapanuli that can be applied by Christian counsellors. The methodology used in this research was a qualitative method. From the research conducted, it was found that there are three weaknesses of the Christian counsellors of North Tapanuli, such as: first, there is no module for each counselling target area. Second, the lack of religious counselling strategy, and third, the lack of coordination between Christian counsellors and the local government. The threats or challenges experienced by Christian counsellors such as: first, the pandemic situation that is not over yet. Second, the limitations of the certain community group in using technology. Third, the time management, in this case, the majority of the community are farmers and spend most of their time in the fields. Fourth, the public's perception of Christian counsellors that there is a lack of appreciation from the community for Christian counsellors, especially those with non-civil servant status.Keywords: counsellor, counselling challenges, counselling strategies  Abstrak:Penyuluhan yang diberikan oleh para penyuluh agama Kristen merupakan bentuk layanan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Dalam riset ini, peneliti berupaya merumuskan beberapa pertanyaan penelitian antara lain apa saja tantangan yang dihadapi para penyuluh agama di kabupaten Tapanuli Utara ini? Bagaimana strategi penyuluh agama dalam melaksanakan program penyuluhan selama masa pandemi? Apakah strategi penyuluhan yang relevan di tengah pandemi covid-19? Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan tantangan apa saja yang dialami oleh para penyuluh agama yang ada di wilayah Tapanuli Utara. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh deskripsi tentang tantangan yang dialami oleh penyuluh, sekaligus juga untuk mengetahui strategi apa yang telah mereka lakukan dalam melaksanakan pembinaan kepada masyarakat selama masa pandemi covid-19. Puncak kajian ini diharapkan menemukan strategi atau model pembinaan yang paling relevan dengan konteks Tapanuli Utara  yang dapat diaplikasikan oleh penyuluh agama Kristen. Metodologi yang dipakai dalam riset ini adalah metode kualitatif. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan didapati bahwa ada tiga hal yang menjadi kelemahan dari pelayanan penyuluh agama Kristen di Tapanuli Utara ini antara lain: pertama, tidak adanya modul untuk setiap bidang sasaran penyuluhan. Kedua, minimnya strategi penyuluhan agama dan ketiga, kurangnya koordinasi antara penyuluh agama Kristen dengan pemerintah setempat. Adapun ancaman atau tantangan yang dialami antara lain: pertama, situasi pandemi yang belum usai. Kedua, keterbatasan warga binaan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Ketiga, permasalahan waktu, karena mayoritas pekerjaan masyarakat adalah bertani dan menghabiskan waktu di lading. Keempat, anggapan masyarakat terhadap penyuluh agama dimana kurang adanya penghargaan dari masyarakat terhadap penyuluh agama Kristen khususnya yang berstatus non PNS. Kata kunci: penyuluh, tantangan penyuluh, strategi penyuluhan

Abstract

AbstractReligious conflicts often damages relations and create suspicion amongreligious people. Conflict also often results in violence that results in hatred,mental wounds and even dark memories. The destruction of churches in AcehSingkil and the difficulty of obtaining a building permit of churches (IMB),even to have a church building to carry out worship and various religiousactivities, became a long struggle for the Christian community. However, in themidst of these struggles, public relationship in the post post-conflict era needto be restored. Christians are called to live in peace with all people. This paperaims to explain the efforts that can be made by Aceh Singkil Christians in theircalling and responsibility as peacemakers. The method of research conductedis qualitative research. The results of this study show that the churches in AcehSingkil need to implement the theology of reconciliation by realizing its callingto love, to show hospitality and to build interfaith dialogue in various forms ofjoint actions for the realization of peace in Aceh Singkil.Keywords: Conflict, love, reconciliation.AbstrakKonflik agama sering kali merusak relasi dan menciptakan rasa curiga antarumat beragama. Konflik juga acap kali melahirkan kekerasan yangmengakibatkan kebencian, luka-luka batin bahkan memori kelam.Penghancuran gereja-gereja di Aceh Singkil dan sulitnya mendapat IzinMendirikan Bangunan (IMB) gereja, bahkan untuk memiliki gedung gerejauntuk melaksanakan ibadah dan berbagai aktivitas keagamaan, menjadipergumulan panjang bagi komunitas Kristen. Namun, di tengah pergumulantersebut, relasi masyarakat pasca konflik perlu dipulihkan. Umat Kristendipanggil untuk hidup dalam pedamaian dengan semua orang. Tulisan inibertujuan untuk memaparkan upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh umatKristen Aceh Singkil dalam panggilan dan tanggungjawabnya sebagaipembawa damai. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah studi pustaka. Hasil kajian ini memperlihatkan bahwa gereja-gereja di Aceh Singkil perlu mengimplementasikan teologi rekonsiliasi dan mewujudkan panggilannya untuk mengasihi, menunjukkan hospitalitas, membangun dialog lintas iman dalam berbagai bentuk aksi bersama demi perwujudan perdamaian di Aceh Singkil.Kata Kunci: konflik, rekonsiliasi, kasih.

Abstract

Penetapan kawasan Danau Toba menjadi Kaldera Toba UNESCO Global Geopark (Kaldera Toba UGG), tidak hanya memberikan kebanggan tersendiri, tetapi juga harapan baru dalam mewujudkan kawasan Danau Toba menjadi destinasi wisata super prioritas. Ironisnya, kerusakan ekologis di kawasan Kaldera Toba masih terus berlangsung, seperti: perambahan hutan secara massif, pencemaran air Danau melalui keramba jaring apung. Kerusakan ekologis berhubungan dengan moralitas dan praktek ketidakadilan. Gereja dipanggil melakukan diakonia transformatif secara holistik untuk menyelamatkan kawasan Kaldera Toba UGG melalui gerakan eco-literacy atau melek ekologi. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tanggungjawab gereja sebagai komunitas ekologis untuk mewujudkan gerakan eco-literacy yang berorientasi terhadap penyelamatan Kaldera Toba UGG sebagai warisan dunia? Gereja diharapkan melakuka upaya rancang bangun transformasi ekologis (eco-transformation design) menuju eco-literacy dan mempromosikannya kepada jemaat. Adapun thesis statement penelitian adalah gereja terpanggil untuk melakukan penyelamatan bumi di kawasan Danau Toba sebagai tanggungjawab iman di tengah realitas sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Upaya gereja dalam membangun gerakan eco-literacy yang dapat berkontribusi untuk menjaga komunitas berkelanjutan di kawasan Danau Toba.

Abstract

The recent rise in cases of intolerance in Indonesia has encouraged the government to make various efforts to maintain religious harmony for the integrity of the Indonesian nation. One of them is through strengthening religious moderation. Religious extension workers are at the forefront of realizing a program to strengthen religious moderation in all work units within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, including religious extension workers in North Tapanuli district. The focus of this research is the strategic role of Religious Extension Workers in implementing the strengthening of the religious orientation in the assisted communities, and what efforts have been made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of North Tapanuli in preparing and empowering religious extension workers as agents or mobilizers religious moderation. This research was conducted by qualitative method. From the research it was found that the presence of religious extension workers in the community is very important to provide counseling and community guidance in caring for plurality and play its role as a driver of strengthening religious moderation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the description and impact of promotion of Ulos Ragi Hotang on increasing tourist attraction in Meat Village, Toba Regency, because promotion is a very important thing to do in increasing tourist attraction. Mazid stated that promotion is a marketing activity to introduce, inform and offer a destination to the wider public so they want to come to visit. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with 10 research subjects selected to collect data in the field. The results of this research show that the promotions that have been carried out by the government and the community through face-to-face sales (personal selling), publicity (Publicity), sales promotions, namely an increase in the attraction of tourists to come to visit the Meat Village, although not too much. However, there are changes from the previous year. In connection with the research results, the author provides input for the community government, Pokdarwis to maximize the promotion of Ulos Ragi Hotang in a sustainable manner, not just by activities carried out in the meat village such as the Meat art festival and the thousand tent activity as an annual event, but the government provides encouragement, especially to the community. weaving craftsmen to be more effective in promoting, then the community must maintain the beauty of the motifs and continue to preserve the culture of Ulos Ragi Hotang weaving as a superior product from Meat village

Abstract

Each region must have a strategy for developing tourist attractions, this is used to realize progress in increasing tourist interest, such as Gosong Telaga Barat Village in North Singkil District which has the Lake Anak Laut tourist attraction. This research aims to describe the tourist attraction development strategy carried out by the village government for Lake Anak Laut tourism to increase visitor interest in Gosong Telaga Barat Village, North Singkil District. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that describes the subjects and objects studied from the strategy for developing the Lake Anak Laut tourist attraction in Gosong Telaga Barat Village, North Singkil District. The results of this research show that the village government's strategy in developing the Lake Anak Laut tourist attraction is to procure funds and land, build facilities and infrastructure, promote the tourist attraction, and preserve the environmental sustainability of the Lake Anak Laut tourist attraction. Meanwhile, the obstacles are the difficulty of procuring funds from the village budget and the lack of support from the tourism office and district government in the form of budget funds.

Abstract

The research background is related to inter-ethnic marriages carried out by couples with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, namely the Batak and Nias Adanva ethnicities. Differences in different linguistic and cultural backgrounds result in differences in interpreting and understanding the message or information conveyed, this can giving rise to misunderstandings. This research was conducted in Hutagodang Village, Kec. Batang Toru. South Tapanuli Regency.The main problem in this research is the description of intercultural communication and communication barriers between inter-ethnic marriage couples in Hutagodang Village. This research aims to find out and explain how intercultural communication in inter-ethnic marriage couples and what communication barriers occur in inter-ethnic marriage couples.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of the dualism of GPKB synod leadership on the ministry of pastors in District V Humbang. The research method used is qualitative research. The data collection technique for this research is using semi-structured interviews and documentation in the form of images. Based on the results of research conducted by the author, the impact of dualism in leadership on the ministry of pastors in Humbang V District causes emotional pain or disappointment and makes it difficult to reach a point of peace between pastors. The dualism of leadership experienced by pastors and congregations is a bad influence on both pastors' services, where daily needs or salaries are unable to cover life's necessities, but this is triggered by commotion or misunderstanding between pastors which burdens the congregation and pastors. The impact of dual leadership in GPKB in Humbang District V includes sirang paradatan, moving churches, building new churches and so on. The impact of this dualism in leadership becomes an obstacle to the pastor's ministry because of disappointment in the hearts of the congregation. This problem has become an obstacle in the ministry of pastors in the V Humbang district, healing the emotional wounds of the congregation and the disappointment of the congregation, even though the pastor's salary or daily needs are not necessarily met, the pastor's loyalty to continuing to serve at GPKB never gives up because the spirit of service within the pastor is more important than status because what they do is shepherd, not be the government over the life of the congregation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the meaning of Job's piety amidst suffering in the context of Job 2:1-13 and to reflect on Job's piety amidst the suffering of Christians today. The research method used in this research explores the themes of piety and perseverance in the context of Job 2:1-13 through an exegetical study approach. Job, a figure in the Bible who experienced severe suffering and trials, is the center of attention in this writing. This study considers the picture of Job's piety, despite facing extraordinary trials, still persevering in piety and maintaining his faith. From the context of the book of Job and his life experiences, a picture of the meaning of a believer being able to face suffering is drawn. This suffering is an inseparable part of the reality of human life. More than that, the suffering experienced by believers can be considered a gift from Allah which aims to bring their personal relationship with Him closer. The main key in facing suffering is to carry it out with strong piety, because this strengthens the human bond with Allah. Even though Job experienced tremendous suffering, Job never turned his back on God; on the contrary, Job remained faithful to Him. Job's story should be an example for believers today, remembering that in every hardship, struggle and suffering, steadfast faith and piety should encourage Christians to continue to draw closer to God.

Abstract

Elders in GPP Dolok Sait village have not fully carried out their duties and responsibilities, so this research aims to examine practical theological studies regarding elder responsibilities and their implementation in services at GPP. The qualitative research method is a descriptive approach. This research shows that elders do not understand their duties and responsibilities, especially in being role models. It is hoped that the synod and pastors will provide guidance for elders and pay attention to the elders' welfare so that the congregation does not feel lazy about replacing elderly elders.
