Abstract

Minuman herbal merupakan minuman yang terbuat dari beberapa rempah-rempah yang sudah lama dikembangkan oleh nenek moyang sebagai minuman untuk meningkatkan daya imun tubuh. Rempah yang umumnya digunakan adalah jahe. Minuman herbal minaserua adalah minuman herbal tradisional daerah Bima Nusa Tenggara Barat. Minuman ini terbuat dari tape ketan, blondo kelapa, gula merah dan penambahan beberapa jenis rempah yaitu jahe, pala, kayu manis, cengkeh, cabe jawa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas fisik, kimia dan mikrobiologis pada minuman tradisional minaserua. Penelitian terdiri 2 faktor yaitu jenis jahe dan konsentrasi jahe. Jenis jahe terdiri dari jahe merah dan jahe putih sedangkan konsentrasi jahe terdiri dari 5%, 7%, 10% dan 13%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai pH tertinggi diperoleh pada jahe putih dengan konsentrasi 5% dan terendah pada jahe merah dengan konsentrasi 13%, nilai viskositas tertinggi pada jahe putih 13% dan terendah pada jahe merah 5%, hasil uji mikrobiologi menunjukkan negative koliform maupun E.coli.

Abstract

Jalan Captain Pierre Tendean is one of the connecting roads between Jalan Brigjend Katamso and Jalan Gatot Subroto which is often passed by local and foreign vehicles. As one of the local roads in the city of Ketapang, this road is also passed by commercial vehicles such as trucks with the heaviest axle load of 5 tons where the excessive load can trigger damage to this road, the average LHRN value on this road is 11 commercial vehicles . The existing road is still in the form of asphalt where there are several points of damage. This is one of the reasons for planning road improvement. The purpose of this study was to determine the thickness of rigid pavement, to know the plan drawings and to know the cost budget plan (RAB). From a good road there is good soil too, the soil is the basic foundation that plays an important role. One of the data needed in the planning of pavement thickness is the CBR value of the soil. The CBR value is obtained from testing with a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), on the subgrade of this road the average CBR value reaches 8,40%. In planning the thickness of this rigid pavement using the 2017 SNI 8457 catalog as a reference that regulates the thickness of the lower foundation layer and the thickness of the concrete slab. By using the average CBR value, the thickness of the sub-base layer for this design is 150 mm, for the design lean concrete with thickness of 50 mm, 9,8 MPa or K-125 concrete is used and for the design concrete slab size is 150 mm thick, it is used. 19,3 MPa or K-225 concrete. The planned cost for the rigid pavement of Captain Pierre Tendean is Rp 518,089.000,00 (Five Hundred Eighteen Million Eighty Nine Thousand Rupiah).

Abstract

Direct current electrical circuits are one of the materials studied by students majoring in electrical engineering. To solve electrical circuit problems, students must understand the material on systems of linear equations and matrices. The purpose of this study is to find out what percentage of students apply the Cramer method with the help of Microsoft excel in solving problems of systems of linear equations in direct current electric circuits. This research is qualitative descriptive study. Data collection technique used is the documentation of test results. The subjects of this study were 52 students. First semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, majoring in electrical engineering. The instrument used is a description test of 5 questions, and the results of interviews. Data analysis technique by looking at the effectiveness of using Microsoft Excel in learning a system of linear equations with the Cramer rule method, the results are in the moderate category. To solve the problem of a system of linear equations in direct current circuits as much 62,2% of students it is easier to use the Cramer method and can quickly use Microsoft Excel assistance in calculations, even for many n variabels.

Abstract

Kweni mango is one type of mangoes with natural vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and high fiber. This study aimed to determine agar's effect on the chemical and sensory properties of kweni mango jelly candies. A completely randomized experimental design was applied in this research with three treatment levels, i.e., 2, 3, and 4% of agar. The results showed that agar addition did not significantly affect the moisture and vitamin C content of jelly candies. The moisture and vitamin content of the candies were 1.40-1.50% and 48.37-72.28 mg/100 g, respectively. Panelists, in general, liked (7.28) the taste and texture of the candies with 3% agar. Keywords: agar, kweni fruit, jelly candies ABSTRAK Mangga kweni adalah salah satu buah manga yang memiliki sumber vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C dan serat yang tinggi. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi agar-agar terhadap karakteristik kimia dan sensori permen jelly buah mangga kweni. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen rancangan acak lengkap satu faktor yaitu konsentrasi agar-agar 2%, 3% dan 4%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan agar-agar tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap kadar air dan vitamin C pada permen jelly. Mutu kimia kadar air diperoleh 1,40-1,50% dan vitamin C 48,37-72,28 mg/100 g. Rata-rata panelis menyatakan suka terhadap rasa dan tektur dengan rata rata skor 7,28 pada agar-agar 3%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada materi statistika deskriptif melalui penerapan model pembalajaran Kooperatif GI dan model CBL. Metode dalam penelitian ini berupa eksperimen semu dengan desain non-randomized control group pretest-posttes design. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan sistem non-random secara convenience diperoleh mahasiswa tahun akademik 2022/2023 yang berjumlah dua kelas yaitu kelas A sebagai kelas Kooperatif GI dan kelas B sebagai kelas CBL. Teknik analisis data untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dihitung berdasarkan nilai indeks gain (N-gain). Uji Shapiro-Wilk menghasilkan data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga uji statistik yang digunakan uji Mann Whitney U-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa pada kelas A mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori tinggi, sedangkan pada kelas B dengan kategori sedang. Perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep selanjutnya diuji secara statistik dan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, dapat disimpulkan model Kooperatif GI lebih efektif dari model CBL dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa.

Abstract

Bamboo is widely used for various forms of building construction, such as houses, as roofs, columns and foundations. Apart from that, the remainder of its use will become waste. One of the building materials that is often used is paving blocks as an alternative ground surface cover that can be used for road pavement, parking lots, pedestrians, parks, etc. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of adding bamboo fiber with variation of 1%, 3%, and 5% on the compressive strength of paving blocks. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Primary data consists of material testing results and paving block compressive strength. Research was conducted at the Structures and Materials Laboratory, Departement of Civil and Mining Engineering, Ketapang State Polytechnic. From the results of the compressive strength testing of paving blocks that have been carried out, the highest average value of compressive strength of paving blocks with a variation of 1% is 320.01 kg/cm2 which corresponds to the quality concrete C used for home garage pavement, pedestrian circulation, and parking lot.

Abstract

Ketapang regency is one of the oil palm producing districts in West Kalimantan. The area of oil palm plantations is 650,110 Ha with 2,509,110 tons of oil palm plantations produced in 2022. Under these conditions, will produce quite large amounts of palm oil shell waste. This waste can be used as a mixture of materials for making concrete. Waste utilization is one solution that can be done to maintain existing natural resources. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of adding variations in palm oil shell waste of 5%, 10%, and 15% on the compressive strength of concrete. This research is experimental research in the structure and materials laboratory, Departement of Civil Engineering, Ketapang State Polytechnic. The research was carried out from 12 August 2023 to 17 September 2023. The average value of concrete compressive strength at 28 days for normal concrete and the 5% palm oil shell variation is included in the standard K-200 concrete quality value, but there is a decrease in the 10% and 15% palm oil shell variations. This result is supported by the SPSS test results of two mean tests between 0% and 5% which are the same, there is no difference, but for other variations it is different. The greater the use of palm oil shells in the concrete mixture will reduce the compressive strength value of the concrete. Variation of palm shell mixture that produces the maximum compressive strength of concrete at a variation of 5% with an average value of 221.01 kg/cm2.

Abstract

In a construction project, roof tiles and ceramics that are cracked (broken) are often thrown away as construction waste. Apart from that, house demolition activities also produce roof tile and ceramic shards that are not reused. No one has conducted research where this wastes is used as a substitute for cement. This research aims to determine the effect of roof tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement on the compressive strength value of concrete. Experimental methods were used in this research. Observations were carried out at the structure and materials laboratory, Ketapang State Polytechnic. The results of the research show that the effect of using tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement with varying percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic in concrete has an effect on the compressive strength value. The greater the percentage of tile and ceramic fragments used in the concrete mixture, the more the compressive strength value of the concrete will decrease. The average compressive strength of concrete at 7 days between normal concrete and concrete with varing percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic has a comparative value of 12.76 M.Pa, 12.03 MPa, 12.16 MPa, and 11.03 MPa. The average estimated compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days has comparative values of 19.00 MPa, 18.51 MPa, 18.71 MPa, 17.43 MPa, and 16.97 MPa.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high risk of natural disasters, due to its position between major tectonic plates and in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This condition makes Indonesia prone to disasters. However, the low level of student understanding of disaster response measures shows the importance of disaster education from an early age. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and preparedness of SMKN 1 Ketapang students in facing disasters through socialization and simulation of disaster management. The activity method consists of socializing disaster material with the help of visual aids and direct simulations guided by the BPBD team. Through the stages of preparation, socialization, and simulation, students were given an in-depth understanding of the types of disasters, evacuation techniques, and the use of light fire extinguishers (APAR). The evaluation results showed a significant increase in understanding from 30% to 80% after this activity was implemented. This increase shows that disaster education involving theory and practice is effective in building students' awareness and preparedness. This program is expected to be continued regularly to build a culture of disaster preparedness among school students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui kadar air, kadar abu, kadar serat dan tingkat kesukaan penelis terhadap  produk nugget yang ditambahkan daun bayam, rebung, dan lobak. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap  faktorial yang diulang 5 kali yaitu konsentrasi ikan patin 210 g : 90 g bayam, daging ikan patin 210 g : 90 g lobak putih,  daging ikan patin 210 g : 90 g rebung. Data dianalisis dengan keragaman analisis of variance taraf 1% dan 5%. Jika  hasilnya terdapat  perbedaan  nyata  (<0,05)  dilanjutkan uji  Duncan. Hasil kadar air pada nugget ikan patin perlakuan  bayam, rebung, dan lobak yaitu 75,41%, 77,26% dan 72,09%. Nilai kadar abu setiap perlakuan 2,33%, 2,1% dan 2,22%.  kadar serat yaitu 0,11%, 1,82% dan 0,08%. Karakteristik organoleptik warna, rasa dan tekstur penambahan lobak yaitu 7,4% lebih disukai.
