Abstract

Physical education learning is less popular with students because of students' lack of understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy and fit body. The aim of this research is to find out students' interest before and after taking a fitness test using the Spiral Kemmis and Taggart method consisting of two cycles, each cycle using four components of action, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The population in this study involved all classes With a percentage result of 15% in the very interested (SM) category, the interested (M) category obtained a result of 40%, the less interested (KM) category with a percentage result of 28 %, the Not Interested (TM) category obtained 10% and the very not interested category (STM) with a percentage of 6%. From the results of classroom action research, there was a significant increase between before and after the fitness test due to students' lack of understanding about physical fitness. Therefore, student interest can be increased by making learning less boring and providing students with an understanding of the importance of maintaining physical fitness and planning schedules. regular physical fitness tests to monitor the development of students' fitness levels.

Abstract

Untuk mencapai keberhasilan siswa pada pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani maka upaya guru untuk merancang sistem pembelajaran. Guru dapat memilih materi pembelajaran menentukan kegiatan belajar mengajar, memilih alat dan sumber serta merancang prosedur penilaian. Pada kurikulum merdeka saat ini guru harus mampu menciptakan ide ide yang menarik dan mampu menggunakan teknologi sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research (CAR). Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Kemampuan kreativitas seseorang siswa berbeda-beda. Dalam membentuk kreativitas memerlukan proses yang membentuk mental individu baik itu melalui imajinasi, pemecahan masalah maupun metode. Kreativitas siswa SMP Negeri 1 Magetan merupakan pengembangan kemempuan siswa yang dimiliki dalam merangakai gerakan senam ritmik baik ketepatan musik/irama, kelentukan (fleksibilitas),dan kontinuitas gerakan (langkah kaki dan ayunan lengan). Pencapaian kreativitas merangkai gerakan senam ritmik dengan alat bola pada siwa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Magetan mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Data menunjukkan siklus II mengalami peningkatan kreativitas sebanyak 64,28% pada skala kategori kreativitas tinggi dari siklus I. Dari 32 siswa SMP Negeri 1 Magetan pada siklus II terdapat 27 siswa dalam skala kategori kreativitas tinggi, 5 siswa dalam skala kategori kreativitas rerata/sedang, dan 0 siswa dalam skala kategori kreativitas rendah yang sebelumnya pada siklus I terdapat 4 siwa dalam skala kategori kreativitas tinggi, sebanyak 12 siswa dalam skala kategori kreativiras rerata/sedang, dan 16 siswa yang berada dalam skala kategori kreativitas rendah. Sehingga dapat dikatankan dengan media pembelajaran audio visual secara signifikan memberi dampak pada peningkatan kemampuan kreativitas merangakai gerakan senam ritmik dengan alat bola yang di iringi lagu “BSSW PE Rhythmic Gymnastics Ribbon”.

Abstract

Program Gym to School dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran siswa dan kepuasan penggunaan sepatu ergonomis di SMA Labschool UNESA. Kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi teori, praktik functional training, dan evaluasi produk sepatu hasil riset PUI-SERC UNESA. Sebanyak 50 siswa dan 10 guru PJOK berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan dua instrumen, yaitu Shoe Satisfaction Questionnaire (SSQ) dan PKM Implementation Satisfaction Questionnaire (PKM-ISQ). Hasil menunjukkan skor kepuasan sepatu sebesar 3,40 (kategori netral–puas) dan kepuasan pelaksanaan program sebesar 3,45 (kategori puas moderat). Aspek terbaik adalah kenyamanan dan dampak yang dirasakan, sedangkan area yang perlu diperbaiki adalah fleksibilitas sepatu dan waktu praktik. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kebugaran dan kolaborasi antara universitas dan sekolah. Diperlukan pengembangan lanjutan melalui pendampingan berkelanjutan dan penyempurnaan desain sepatu untuk mendukung latihan yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

Universitas Negeri Surabaya berkolaborasi dengan University Malaya dalam program pengabdian masyarakat berbasis performance analysis untuk tim Badminton Selangor, Malaysia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan: (1) meningkatkan pemahaman pelatih tentang analisis performa berbasis data, (2) mengoptimalkan pengambilan keputusan strategis, dan (3) mengembangkan keterampilan individu atlet. Metode pelatihan mencakup workshop teori, simulasi praktik analisis data pertandingan, dan evaluasi berbasis tools digital. Hasilnya, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan analisis, terutama dalam mengklasifikasikan karakteristik atlet berdasarkan kelompok umur dan membangun rekam jejak digital. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan ilmiah dalam kepelatihan dapat mendorong peningkatan prestasi tim secara sistematis.

Abstract

Physical inactivity among middle-aged women remains a major contributor to increased cardiovascular and metabolic health risks worldwide. This study sought to examine the acute cardiovascular and metabolic responses during a 45-minute instructor-led line dance session in physically active middle-aged women. A single-session cross-sectional observational design was employed involving thirty participants aged 30–50 years who completed a standardized routine consisting of warm-up, main session, and cool-down phases. Every participant wore a Polar H10 heart-rate monitor and an accelerometer to collect data throughout the session. Exercise intensity was classified into five heart-rate zones according to the percentage of maximum heart rate (HRmax), while caloric expenditure was estimated using heart-rate data and MET values. Descriptive analysis was employed to delineate cardiovascular and metabolic responses, while multivariate regression assessed predictors of total caloric expenditure, controlling for age and body mass index (BMI). The average intensity of the participants' exercise was 72.8 ± 5.6% HRmax (132.5 ± 10.4 bpm), the mean energy cost was 245.6 ± 35.2 kcal, and the MET value was 4.2 ± 0.6. The majority of the session duration was allocated to Zone 3 (38.2 ± 6.1%) and Zone 4 (18.4 ± 4.7%). The time spent in Zones 3–5 was a significant predictor of caloric expenditure (β = 0.68, p < 0.001, R² = 0.74). These findings demonstrate that a single 45-minute instructor-led line dance session produces moderate-to-vigorous acute cardiovascular strain and metabolic responses, as reflected by heart rate zone distribution and energy expenditure in physically active middle-aged women.

Abstract

Background: Maintaining excellent physical fitness not only enhances mental well-being but also fosters teachers' ingenuity and inventiveness in devising effective teaching strategies. A fit body will be able to increase concentration, which means a teacher can deliver learning material better and achieve goals. Consequently, pupils become more engaged and comprehend the instructional material more easily. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of rhythmic gymnastics and walking more than 7,500 steps per day for 8 weeks on fitness and BMI. Methods: The employed research method was quantitative research using a causal-associative approach. This study utilised 43 participants who met the following criteria: they were between the ages of 35 and 55, actively engaged as lecturers in the teacher professional education program (PPG) at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, and willing to participate in the study for a duration of 60 days, during which they would receive the given intervention. The intervention given was in the form of Indonesian teacher gymnastics with a composition of 2 minutes of warm-up, 11 minutes of core, and 2 minutes of cool-down. In addition to gymnastics, the intervention involved walking at least 7,500–8,000 steps per day, every day, for a duration of 8 weeks (60 days). For sample step control, samples are required to send a report of their daily steps that have been recorded through the Pedometer-SStep Counter App. Data analysis used paired t-tests and SPSS 23 software to assess the intervention's impact on body mass index and fitness. Findings and Results: The results showed that combined rhythmic gymnastics training (Indonesian Teachers Gymnastics) and walking more than 7,500 for 8 weeks can increase VO2 max (pre 28.68 11.37; post 32.08 13.26; p = 0.000), but did not significantly affect changes in BMI (pre 25.51 4.88; post 25.43 4.02; p = 0.760). Conclusion: Rhythmic gymnastics training and daily 7,500 steps of walking for 8 weeks can improve cardiorespiratory fitness in middle-aged professionals but may not alter BMI. This simple, accessible workplace health program can enhance cardiovascular fitness.
