Abstract

Speaking skills are a means of developing children to interact and communicate with other people. Children's play games are games that develop in each particular region with the cultural background of that region. The aim of this research is to find out how children's play games can improve students' Javanese speaking skills. This type of research uses classroom action research. Data collection was carried out using observations, tests and field notes carried out in 2 cycles at Grow 4 Elementary School, Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The results of the research showed an increase in the average value of 50% then to 67.5% and ending in cycle II at 95%. From the average score, children achieve indicators of success in Javanese speaking skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop teaching materials in the form of school from home learning modules in the hope of providing solutions to solve these problems.The research method used is the Research and Development (RD) which consists of a preliminary study stage, a development stage and an evaluation stage. Research respondents were teachers, students, and parents of students. The model is validated by experts and practitioners with the Delphi technique. The practicality of the model was tested with quantitative descriptive techniques that measure the practicality of using the module and its usefulness by giving questionnaires to respondents to students and parents as product users. The results showed that: (1) The School From Home Module Design is a module made by considering the material, expanding exploration, and using objects at home and the environment as a medium. (2) the validity of the school from home module got a percentage value of 83% in the very good category. (3) the overall practicality trial obtained a percentage of 86% in the very practical category.

Abstract

In 2020 there was an increase in internet users from the elementary school level, reaching 35.97%. Children's activity in cyberspace has negative impacts, such as the personal data they have can be spread, and there is a great potential for violations of children's rights. They become targets or victims of cybercrime. According to UNICEF data, in 2017, there were five million child profiles and accounts that hackers in the digital world stole. More and more children are using the Internet, but education regarding personal data security with media that suits children's needs is still limited. Therefore, this research will design, design, and build Android-based interactive comics that will be used as educational media for children about personal data security. This research aims to familiarize oneself with personal data security and protection strategies. The specific objective of this study is to make comics by compiling storyline scenarios according to everyday life practices. This research uses the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research produces a collection of comic strips about personal data security packaged in an Android-based application. Based on the test, the perspective of test participants regarding interactive comic applications is that they have acceptability ranges in the acceptable category, have a grade scale with category C, and have an adjective rating with the good category.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan seseorang dalam memahami suatu konsep serta dapat menginterpretasikan tanpa mengubah maknanya. Permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti dari faktor-faktor yang diamati peneliti adalah masih kurangnya pemahaman konsep matematika siswa khususnya materi pembagian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT). Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan deskripstif kuantitatif. Adapun langkah-langkah dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yaitu (1) perencanaan; (2) tindakan; (3) pengamatan; (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas V SD Tumbuh 4 Yogyakarta dengan jumlah 14 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa mulai dari pra siklus hingga siklus II setelah diterapkannya model NHT. Persentase peningkatan dari pra siklus ke siklus I yaitu 21,4% dan persentase dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 28,6%. Model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif saat proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyebab kesulitan belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Rejowinangun Selatan 1. Desain penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, metode pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyebab kesulitan belajar IPA mempunyai beberapa faktor-faktor yaitu; 1) Faktor fisiologis seperti saat kondisi sakit, kurang sehat, serta keterbatasa dalam pengelihatan serta pendengaran membuat siswa kesulitan dalam berkonsentrasi pada saat pembelajaran IPA. 2) Faktor sekolah seperti waktu pembelajaran, dan guru hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan hasil observasi maupun wawancara yang telah dilakukan pada siswa kelas V sebagai objek penelitian dimana seorang guru saat penyampaian materi kurang menarik perhatian siswa dan waktu pembelajaran juga mempengaruhi konsentrasi belajar siswa. 3) Faktor keluarga peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan minat belajar IPA di rumah juga belum terlaksana dengan baik yang dipengaruhi oleh perekonomian keluarga, suasana rumah yang kurang kondusif.

Abstract

Low literacy within Muslim families can seriously affect developing individuals and society. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a new model of Islamic parenting based on family religiousness to address the low literacy issue in Muslim families. Using a mixed-method with triangulation design, in Study 1, researchers conducted action research by delivering a six-session parent training program to 10 women with children aged 11 years old, grouped into high and low-literate families. Practice at home, guided by facilitators, followed each session. Data were collected using interviews and parents’ reflection journals and were analyzed using content analysis. In Study 2, concurrently with Study 1, a quasi-experimental research was conducted using a one-group pre-test and post-test design to test the model’s effectiveness. Before and after the programs, the researchers administered the Family Literacy Questionnaire to the women and the Literacy Activity Questionnaire to their children. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to examine differences between pre-test and post-test scores. The program was perceived as impactful and highly appreciated by the participants, who expected its continuation in the future. The hypothesis test results indicated that the Islamic parenting model improved family literacy (p=0.043) and the literacy activities of their children (p=0.039). The Islamic parenting model effectively enhanced women’s family literacy in low literacy groups and children’s literacy activity in both groups. This finding can be widely implemented to provide parents with understanding and skills to support their children’s literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the SAS reading learning method to improve the beginning reading skills of lower grade A students at SD Tumbuh 2 Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is classroom action research. Data collection techniques include observation, testing, and documentation instruments. The research subjects were lower-A class students of SD Tumbuh 2 Yogyakarta, with a total of 16 students. The research data collected was then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research in the pre-cycle only reached 65.6, which showed that the average score obtained had not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 75. In cycle I, the average score increased to 70.2, and in cycle II, it increased again to 79.8, which had reached the KKM score. It can be concluded that the SAS method, assisted by spin reading media, can improve students' reading skills.

Abstract

Good writing should adhere to proper rules and guidelines in the Indonesian language. This research aims to describe the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model that can enhance the use of capital letters in writing descriptive texts for Lower A grade students in the academic year 2023. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kurt Lewin research model design, conducted in two cycles. This research consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the TTW cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' ability to write descriptive texts using capital letters. This demonstrates that the cooperative approach can be an effective strategy in enhancing students' writing skills. It is recommended to continue implementing the TTW cooperative learning model in teaching writing descriptive texts and provide additional support for students who still need extra guidance in using capital letters. Furthermore, further research can be conducted to measure the long-term effects of implementing this learning model.

Abstract

Memahami siapa yang diajar merupakan masalah klasik namun seringdiabaikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitianini adalah untuk menghimpun informasi awal tentang siswa kelastinggi sebagai implementasi pengajaran berbasis data. Manfaat hasilpenelitian ini agar guru mengenal lebih dalam karakteristik siswasebagai dasar untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran. Subyekpenelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas awal MI Annur dari kelas 4hingga kelas 6 sejumlah 43 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalahangket terbuka. Keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi.Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif yangakan digolongkan pada kategori memahami perasaan, kesadaranbelajar, dan berpikir visioner. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa padakomponen kesadaran belajar, mayoritas siswa memilih bermain danbelajar sebagai hal yang dapat dilakukan dengan baik, serta dapatbelajar dengan jika dalam keadaan bahagia dan memiliki hati senang.Selanjutnya, komponen memahami perasaan menunjukkan bahwa anakmampu mengoperasionalkan kondisi sosial emosionalnya denganmampu menjawab kegiatan yang disukai dan tidak disukai di sekolah,memiliki kegiatan yang favorit serta mampu mengungkapkan istilah“bahagia” adalah sesuatu yang diinginkan ketika belajar. Dalam halberpikir visioner hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besarsiswa memiliki tujuan dalam sekolah serta mampu memilih programTV yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan. Temuan ini menggiringkita bahwa memahami siapa yang menjadi peserta didik akanberimplikasi pada penguasaan kelas untuk membangun iklim belajarkondusif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the STAD model assisted by tangram media onthe understanding of mathematical concepts in fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Integratif Dukun, Magelang Regency.This research is a type of pre-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The research was selected by saturated sampling. The samples taken were 19 students. The method of data collectionis done by using a description test. The validity test uses the product moment formula,while the reliability test uses the Cronbach alpha formula which produces a reliabilityindex of 0.924. Data analysis used parametric statistical techniques, namely the PairedSample T-Test with the help of the SPSS for Windows version 25.00 program.The resultsof the analysis of the Data Test of Two Dependent Samples which were carried out usingthe Paired Sample T-Test with the t count > t table, namely 18.323 > 2.093 with the Asympvalue. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, thereis a difference in the average score of the mathematical concept understanding test, namelythe pretest average of 50.46, while the posttest average is 80.02. This shows that there isan effect of the STAD model assisted by tangram media on the understanding of themathematical concept of flat shape material in fourth grade students of SDMuhammadiyah Integratif Dukun, Magelang Regency, Academic Year 2020/2021.
