Abstract

Scientific argumentation skills are high-level thinking skills that are very important for students to have in the learning process, especially in 21st century education that shapes students to argue and shape students into individuals who are able to think critically. However, based on the results of observations, students are still not active in conveying their arguments and critical thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between scientific argumentation skills and critical thinking skills through the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning model on cell material. The method used in this study is the correlational method with an ex post facto research design using 1 experimental class with a research sample of 30 students. The instruments used are 15 essay questions for both scientific argumentation skills and critical thinking skills. Data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques using the t-test. The results of the analysis through the posttest on students' scientific argumentation skills are in the form of an average value of 47.5, while the average value of critical thinking skills is 47.6, with the results of the t-test being 2.08> 1.69, which means that tcount> ttable, namely H0 is rejected. The results of the hypothesis test show a significant relationship between scientific argumentation skills and critical thinking skills using the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning model on cell material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning with and without differentiated learning using the station rotation model to improve students' creative thinking skills on global warming material. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 54 samples consisting of two research groups, namely the control and experimental groups and each class consisted of 27 students. Data collection was based on tests taken with subjective test types, namely essay tests based on creative thinking indicators. The improvement of creative thinking skills on global warming learning materials in classes with and without differentiated learning using the station rotation model based on the results of the N-Gain of the experimental class has a fairly effective criterion with an N-Gain value of 0.62 in the experimental class and 0.42 in the control class. Differentiated learning using the station rotation model to improve students' creative thinking skills has a positive and significant effect on improving students' creative thinking skills on global warming material. Thus, this research is quite effective and significant if applied in learning at school.

Abstract

Reproductive health is a primary concern among teenagers in Indonesia, especially those in high school. There are numerous cases of risky sexual behaviour are found in high schools. It occurs among them because of several factors, one of which is the lack ofknowledge, which leads them to have a poor attitude towards their reproductive health. This study aims to determine the relationship between high school students' knowledge about the reproductive system and their reproductive health care attitudes. This studyutilizes a quantitative approach and employs a correlational study. The sample are taken from a group of 35 students from class XI MIPA 1, that had not studied the reproductive system materials, and another 35 students from class XI MIPA 7, that had studied it, which is determined using the purposive sampling technique. The results of knowledge test for the reproductive system in XI MIPA 1 showed an average score of 51,29, while XI MIPA 7 scored an average of 81,71. Meanwhile, the results of the reproductive health care attitudesurvey for XI MIPA 1 showed an average score of 44,40, and for XI MIPA 7, it was 55. Based on the correlation test, XI MIPA 1 had a correlation coefficient of 0,677 with a significance score of 0,000 (< 0,05). In Class XI MIPA 7, the correlation coefficient was 0,643 with a significance score of 0,000 (< 0,05). As a result, this study shows that there is a strong positive relationship between students' knowledge about the reproductive system and their reproductive health care attitudes.

Abstract

The learning model is one of the causes of the lack of student motivation in learning problems so that it affects student learning outcomes. The use of the right learning model is one of the determinants of success in learning activities carried out by teachers. This study aims to analyze the effect of TGT learning model assisted by educandy on student learning outcomes on ecology material. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample amounted to 28 students selected through cluster random sampling technique. Cognitive aspect learning outcomes were obtained through pretest and posttest. Learning ecology material through the TGT model assisted by educandy makes students participate actively so that the learning stages are carried out very well. The cognitive learning outcomes of students using the TGT model assisted by educandy obtained a score of 82 with an n-gain value of 0.62 with moderate criteria. While in the control class, students' cognitive learning outcomes obtained a score of 70 and an n-gain value of 0.45 with a moderate category. The results of the t-test analysis obtained a significant value of 0.000 <0.005 means the hypothesis is accepted. There is an effect of TGT learning model assisted by educandy application on student learning outcomes on ecology material.

Abstract

Kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa adalah dengan penggunaaan model pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Teams Games Tournament terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment tipe non equivalent control group design. Hasil belajar ranah kognitif diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest yang dianalisis dengan melakukan uji t dengan menggunakan bantuan Ms. Excel. Diperoleh data rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 68,54 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 63,12 dan berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t pada α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung ≥ ttabel, (1,71 ≥ 1,67). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar pada materi sistem pencernaan.
