Abstract

STMIK Bumigora Mataram is one of the universities in NTB, which is capable of competing with other universities. In addition, in the future, STMIK Bumigora Mataram will become an international college that can reduce scientific disparity and resources. STMIK Bumigora Mataram is one of the most popular universities in Indonesia especially in the NTB region. Every year STMIK Bumigora Mataram actively promotes related to new student registration. The promotional media used at that time by STMIK Bumigora Mataram in the past 2 years in the form of brochures, advertisements, calendars, posters, websites and promotions go to scholl, then every campus needs to have a different promotional tool than before so that in the future STMIK bumigora mataram needs a promotional media in the form of mascots by reflecting on a particular company or institution that can make it a symbol that is easily remembered by the community. STMIK Bumigora Mataram is the only university that will have a mascot in the NTB region. This mascot character is in the form of 3D animation object, as a representative character representing STMIK Bumigora Mataram which is easier to recognize, for this reason it is necessary to create a mascot character as a promotional tool for STMIK Bumigora Mataram which can be a promotional activity. The design of this mascot character uses the Vilamil-Molina method, a multimedia development method that starts from the concept stage, planning, usage development until the trial stage in building application software using blender software and by utilizing Photoshop software that is used to create textures, then produce a video

Abstract

Mascot is a promotional media that is familiar in promotional media. Several companies to universities have mascots as icons that can represent higher education. UNDIKMA as a new joint-form campus has not used the media in the form of mascots for promotion. considering that NTB is a heterogeneous region with respect to ethnicity, religion, and race, so it requires a mascot as a brand ambassador for UNDIKMA. This is important because in the NTB region there is no tertiary institution that has a mascot. In the previous study, there was no study on mascot creation for universities. The purpose of this research is to design a mascot with a method approach that puts forward the target audience. While the method used is the Design Thinking Method developed by Tim Brown. Design thinking is a way to solve ambiguous and unfamiliar problems, rediscover problems in a human-centered way, brainstorm to generate multiple ideas, and take a hands-on approach. Very useful for prototyping and testing. Design thinking also includes continuous experimentation, such as sketching, prototyping, experimenting, and trying out different concepts and ideas. The target outcome of this research is to hopefully create a mascot design. In addition, it is also hoped that the output in the form of a mascot design guide line will also be successfully written. So that the application of the mascot can be correct and in accordance with the objectives expected by the designer.

Abstract

Tantangan perkuliahan yang terjadi selama pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang signifikan bagi mahasiswa slow learner yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam mengelola waktu dan motivasi dalam belajar secara rutin di masa perkuliahan daring atau luring. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan teknologi asistif berbasis mobile application pada materi metode simpleks untuk membantu mahasiswa slow learner. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari empat tahapan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: Tahap Perencanaan, Tahap Perancangan, Tahap Pengkodean dan Tahap Pengujian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adalah produk teknologi asistif valid, dan praktis,. Berdasarkan uji validitas, teknologi asistif sangat layak digunakan dalam sumber belajar dengan skor rata-rata 3,6 (valid). Respon angket siswa menunjukkan bahwa e-Module praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 80%. Keywords: Teknologi Asistif, Metode Simpleks, Slow Learner

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas perangkat manajemen informasi lembaga, penerapan teknologi informasi menjadi sangat penting karena dapat membantu proses bisnis di dalamnya. Teknologi informasi seperti website dapat menyediakan pelayanan yang baik, baik kepada pihak internal, yaitu lembaga itu sendiri juga kepada masyarakat masyarakat yang menggunakannya – membutuhkan informasi. Website adalah komponen penting bagi sebuah lembaga pendidikan, dimana dapat menjadi antarmuka antara lembaga dengan dunia luar. Masyarakat yang ingin mengetahui informasi mengenai profil, fasilitas, hingga jadwal dapat mengetahui dengan mudah tanpa harus menuntut informasi langsung ke lokasi tersebut. Dalam hal lain, seperti sistem penerimaan siswa, pihak lembaga dapat menyediakan layanan registrasi secara online yang memudahkan masyarakat dalam mendaftarkan putra-putrinya. Khalayak sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah tim panitia penerimaan santri baru Pondok Pesantren Pabelan, Mungkid, Magelang, Jawa Tengah tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang telah dilaksanakan dari tanggal 2 April hingga penayangan saat ini, bertempat di Pondok Pesantren Pabelan dengan juga dipandu secara teleconference dari Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk, mengenalkan teknologi informasi yang mudah dioperasikan dan dikustomisasi oleh pihak lembaga untuk membantu proses penayangan informasi kepada masyarakat serta menyediakan fasilitas penerimaan siswa baru sebagai proses bisnis di Pondok Pesantren Pabelan. Dari hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat dinyatakan teknologi yang disediakan untuk Pondok Pensantren Pabelan ini membantu proses penyampaian informasi dan menyediakan sistem penerimaan santri secara online kepada masyarakat – calon santri baru. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya 13 calon santri yang mendaftar secara online dengan cara yang lebih mudah. Dengan adanya website yang dapat menyediakan informasi dan fasilitas pendaftaran Pondok Pesantren Pabelan diharapkan terus berkembang dan memiliki sustainability di era teknologi informasi saat ini.

Abstract

Selama dua dekade terakhir, penggunaan teknologi seluler telah berevolusi menjadi satu set perilaku yang telah ada di manapun dalam keseharian, terutama untuk kaum milenial. Beberapa tahun terakhir, permainan digunakan sebagai alat pendidikan. Ini terutama karena para pemain sadar bahwa mereka belajar sambil bermain game. Penelitian ini mencoba menjawab pertanyaan secara akademis, yaitu “Dapatkah permainan game untuk Aksara Sasak Baluk Olas (Depalan Belas) dapat mengajarkan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan. Hal ini menyebabkan untuk mempertimbangkan apakah gaya belajar yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi siswa tentang seberapa banyak mereka dapat belajar dari bermain game. Metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah model Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation (ADDIE). Jenis game yang dibuat berdasarkan hasil review kami adalah game bergaya RPG (Role Play Game). Data yang nantinya didapat diolah dengan cara statistika deskriptif. Game edukasi yang nantinya akan dihasilkan berjenis RPG dan dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang berbeda serta dapat lebih praktis dalam memberikan pelajaran aksara Sasak Baluq Olas. Posisi guru dan buku pada proses pembelajaran tidak dapat digantikan oleh game edukasi yang dibuat. Sumber utama belajar tetap menggunakan buku, sedangkan game edukasi sebagai pelengkap dalam proses pembelajaran

Abstract

The Trade Office of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Government has developed an application for monitoring the prices of basic and important goods in all traditional markets in NTB. The main purpose of the application is so that information on the movement of prices for basic and important goods can be monitored more quickly and precisely. However, in its implementation, market officers who will use the application experience difficulties. Therefore, we need a program of debriefing for all market officers. The program is in the form of training and mentoring in order to improve the ability of market officers to use and access technology. This activity is carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparatory activities began with holding a Fourm Group Discussion (FGD), then compiling training materials, as well as video tutorials and application guide pocketbooks. Furthermore, the training is carried out online using Zoom Meeting. The location of the presenters at the training used the Mandalika University of Education (UNDIKMA) Mini Studio. Meanwhile, to facilitate mentoring activities, a WhatsApp Group was created. The result of this activity is the implementation of training on the use of applications to market officers. This activity has also produced a pocket book on the use of applications, and video tutorials. Based on the evaluation results, it is known that market officers are able to actively use and understand the functions and benefits of the application. This shows that this service activity has succeeded in increasing the skills of market officers in using price monitoring applications

Abstract

One of the consequences of teachers as functional positions is that teachers are required to carry out continuous professional development (CPD) so that teachers can carry out their duties and functions professionally. For this reason, teachers are required to have competency in researching and writing scientific papers in the form of books, modules and scientific articles. Writing scientific papers for teachers can serve as a reference / reference to increase insight or disseminate knowledge. This community service aims to equip teachers with scientific writing material, especially on scientific articles as well as provide assistance and consultation in writing scientific papers so that teachers are able to make scientific papers properly and correctly. The target of this service is partner schools from fellow institutes in West Lombok district, where the teachers who serve the school are expected to be able to produce a publication in a scientific paper.

Abstract

The current research is an analysis on the quality of an instrument that is used to measure educator performance at a college in West Nusa Tenggara. The research aims to improve the quality of the instrument. Factor Analysis is used in the study. There are 3 measurement factors in the instrument, those are pedagogic factors (5 indicators), professionalism (11 indicators) and personality (3 indicators). The result shows that: 1) those indicators can be classified into two factors, formal factors and informal factors. Formal factors is institutional and structured, such as the indicators of subject matter delivery, the use of teaching method, the use of relevance example, and the use of learning media and tools. Meanwhile, informal factors is non-institutional, which tends to be emotional relationship or informal relationship, such as educators capability in creating pleasant and friendly classroom; 2) It is found that some indicators need to be removed because they have indicator values less than 0.5, for instance the indicator that ‘lecturers explain the relationship between the subjects being taught and other subjects outside that subjects’ is need to be removed because it has a similar meaning with another indicator that is ‘lectures explain the application of the subject in real life’.

Abstract

Design thinking has garnered widespread recognition for its distinctive problem-solving and innovative approach, attracting the attention of both professionals and academics. It has expanded beyond its origins in the design field and is now being applied in diverse domains. This article focuses on the integration of design thinking into science education, particularly within the framework of inquiry-based learning. To comprehensively explore the study objectives, a mixed methods approach involving both quantitative and qualitative methods was employed. The study included 102 first-year university students enrolled in science courses. The assessment of students' design thinking dimensions is conducted using instruments that have been rigorously validated and proven to be reliable in terms of their psychometric properties. The findings revealed that students exposed to inquiry-based learning demonstrated significant improvements in their design thinking skills compared to those taught through conventional methods. Furthermore, interviews with lecturers provided additional support for the positive impact of inquiry-based learning on students' design thinking abilities.
