Abstract

Online gambling has become a prominent phenomenon among students because it is considered a fast way to earn money instantly, even becoming the main source of income for some students to meet their daily needs. However, serious attention to this phenomenon arises because it is considered detrimental to the future of Indonesia's young generation, changing mindsets in earning a living and forming less productive personalities. Some cases involve students using money from their tuition fees to gamble without considering the risks, potentially threatening their ability to pay off educational costs. Therefore, this research aims to identify the factors driving students to engage in online gambling. Factors such as social, economic, situational aspects, learning environment, perception of winning, and perception of addiction influence students' tendencies in online gambling, while secretive attitudes, difficulty accepting advice, stubbornness, and reluctance to admit or avoid potential dangers are obstacles in dealing with this phenomenon.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of professional teacher organizations on the development of teacher professionalism in junior high schools. Teachers as professionals need a platform to improve their competence and develop themselves on an ongoing basis. Teacher professional organizations play an important role in facilitating teacher professionalism development activities. This research uses a library method by collecting and reviewing various literature sources such as books, journals, research reports and scientific articles that are relevant to the research topic. The collected data was then analyzed qualitatively to determine the influence of professional teacher organizations on the development of teacher professionalism. The research results show that professional teacher organizations make a significant contribution in improving teachers' pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies through various activities such as training, seminars, scientific discussion forums, as well as providing the latest learning resources and information.

Abstract

The use of smartphones in the teaching and learning process can be optimized by utilizing various features and applications available on the device. According to some studies, smartphones can be used as a source of learning materials, interactive learning media, and a tool to access e-books and online learning platforms. The use of smartphones can also make learning more fun and less boring. However, there are also some challenges in using smartphones for teaching and learning, such as the need for a stable internet connection and potential distractions. To optimize the use of smartphones in the teaching and learning process, it is important to establish clear guidelines and policies, provide training for teachers and students, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the approach.with Qualitative research method a research method based on positivist philosophy, used to consider the current state of the subject. The problem was studied with quantitative methods by interviewing teachers at Smk Pab 3 school, the researcher conveyed that all data submitted through interviews to teachers were only used for the purpose of this study, and examined how a teacher's implementation of smartphone optimization in the classroom to realize effective optimization. The identity of the overall teacher is kept confidential and matters relating to the teacher's response to the interview because the research data is confidential.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the digital gap in the world of education today and in the future. This research method is to use a qualitative method with an observational study approach. The result of this research show that in the school that was used at the research site, there still a digital divide where there are still many students who still have limitations in owning electronic goods due to economic limitations and the distance from home to school whis is quite far. In conclusion, the school has tried as much as possible to equalize digital use for students who do not have electronic devices to use computers provided by the school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kampanye Pemilu 2024 terhadap kompetensi kewarganegaraan masyarakat di Lingkungan VI Kelurahan Sidorejo Kecamatan Medan Tembung. Fenomena kampanye pemilu yang sering diwarnai dengan praktik seperti kampanye hitam dan politik uang berpotensi mempengaruhi perilaku politik masyarakat. Kompetensi kewarganegaraan yang mencakup pengetahuan, sikap, dan ilmu pengetahuan dianggap penting dalam upaya memerangi demokrasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional, yang bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan antara kampanye pemilu dan kompetensi kewarganegaraan masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang mengukur tiga dimensi kompetensi kewarganegaraan: Civic Knowledge, Civic Disposition, dan Civic Skill. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kampanye Pemilu 2024 berpengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi kewarganegaraan masyarakat, dengan Civic Knowledge memperoleh pengaruh paling besar (85% responden memberikan tanggapan sangat baik), diikuti oleh Civic Disposition (80,25%), dan Civic Skill (74%). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa kampanye pemilu memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, karakter, dan keterampilan politik masyarakat, yang mendukung partisipasi aktif dalam proses demokrasi. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya memperkuat pendidikan politik untuk meningkatkan kompetensi kewarganegaraan dan mendorong partisipasi yang lebih bermakna dalam demokrasi.
