Abstract

The teaching process in the form of teaching, training and research can be a means to strengthen steps in living in the world so that achievements in the fields of knowledge and skills are expected by everyone, namely a way to fully enjoy life based on the world. These human needs and desires can be fulfilled by the emergence of creative thinking ideas and innovative thinking ideas which are achieved by studying one's education. The aim of this research is to increase students' love for Indonesian culture through "Nusantara Ornaments". The design of this research is qualitative research. The population and sample in this study consisted of MAN Batu students in class. The results of this research are that students can describe works of applied art through ana-lytical sketches which include application, installation and combination columns. We conclude that the activity of observing and carrying out art criticism can help students gain information about works of applied art, the artists who created them, and the pro-cess of creating sculpture according to the students themselves.

Abstract

Dramatari Wayang Topeng shows the diversity of characters, the variety of movements, the diversity of costumes, and the diversity of stories. Dramatari Wayang Topeng show is taken from the Panji story, which is oral literature. 17 stories have been developed by the puppeteers at Padepokan Asmara Bangun, Malang Regency. There is one story that is only performed on certain days, namely the month of Sura, which is the month of reckoning Javanese or Javanese new year, which is entitled Lahire Naga Tahun. The purpose of this research is to describe the presentation structure of "Lahire Naga Tahun" in the Malang mask puppet show. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Lahire Naga Tahun story is based on the results of the development by the puppeteers consisting of 4 episodes, namely (1) Sekartaji Palsu (Fake Sekartaji), (2) Lahire Panji Laras (the birth of Panji Laras), (3) Sayembara Adu Jago (Adu Jago Competition), and (4) Lahire Naga Tahun (the birth of Naga Tahun). The four episodes are presented consecutively with a show time of approximately 2 hours. Each episode contains several scenes. The Sekartaji Palsu episode consists of 4 scenes, namely Partapan, Kingdom of Rancong Kencana, Jenggala Soldier and Keputren. The Lahire Panji Laras episode consists of 2 stages, namely Kaputren and Lolaras. The Sayembara Adu Jago consists of 2 steps, namely Karang Pradesan and Alun-Alun. The Lahire Naga Tahun episode consists of 2 scenes, namely Alun-Alun and Alas.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the level of satisfaction of class The method used is Service Quality. The results of the student satisfaction evaluation show aspects that need to be maintained and improved in the competence of PPG Pre-Service Arts and Culture students. The implications of this research are the need to maintain the quality of pre-service PPG student selection, improve the quality of courses and teaching lecturers that are integrated with PPL activities, provide adequate preparation time for students, as well as the importance of high awareness and motivation from students to increase their competence as prospective teachers. Thus, this research contributes to improving the quality of arts and culture education through evaluating student satisfaction as an indicator of teacher competence.
