Abstract

Penelitian evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji coba pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring melalui aplikasi google meet pada pelajaran gambar teknik mesin kelas X TPA. Metode penelitian termasuk penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model evaluasi CIPP. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan angket/kuesioner online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon peserta didik kelas X TPA terkait aplikasi google meet sangat menerima dengan rerata 81,19% atau kategori tinggi. Evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring melalui aplikasi google meet oleh pendidik mendapatkan persentase 82,2% atau kategori tinggi. Evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring melalui aplikasi google meet oleh peserta didik mendapatkan 82,01% atau kategori tinggi. Kelas X TPA mendapatkan nilai rata-rata yang tinggi dibandingkan kelas lainnya sebesar 80,24. Pembelajaran daring melalui aplikasi google meet mendapatkan pengaruh yang baik, sehingga pembelajaran daring semester depan tahun ajaran 2021/2022 untuk semua kelas X pelajaran gambar teknik mesin dapat menggunakan aplikasi google meet.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the casting defects, tensile strength, and hardness of the AlSi alloy obtained in the Sand Casting method with Bangkalan local clay as a binder. This experimental research uses the one-shot case study method in which a group of samples is given treatment. Furthermore, the research results were analyzed and described descriptively. This study uses three independent variables and three dependent variables. The independent variable is the local Bangkalan clay binder with varying percentages of 6%, 9%, and 12%, while the dependent variable is casting defects, tensile strength, and metal hardness. The research results show that the lowest casting defects are obtained on the AlSi metal surface, with a variation in the percentage of the binder of 12% with a total of 76 hole defects and 80-grain structure defects. At the same time, the highest tensile strength value is obtained in AlSi metal with a binder variation of 12% with a value of 11.188 kgf/mm². The highest hardness value is also obtained in AlSi metal, with a binder variation of 12% with a value of 131.9 HV. This study concludes that using local Bangkalan clay binder in 12% is the best sand mold binder variation compared to 6% and 9% binder variations.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran faktor situasional, factor, pilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin dan determinasi faktor situasional dan faktor psikologis dalam pemilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin di SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian korelasional dan bersifat ex-post facto. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Kelompok Teknologi dan Rekayasa pada Bidang Keahlian Teknik Mesin negeri dan swasta di wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi dan analisis jalur. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa 1) skor untuk faktor situasional termasuk dalam kategori tinggi,  skor untuk faktor psikologis termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, dan skor pilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin di SMK  termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, 2) ada pengaruh faktor situasional dan psikologis terhadap pemilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin SMK di Yogkarta.Kata kunci: faktor situasional, faktor psikologis, determinasi bidang keahlian teknik mesin SMK      ______________________________________________________________DETERMINANT FACTOR IN THE CHOISE OF THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EXPERTISE PROGRAM IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS Abstract This study aims to describe situational and psychological factors,  the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program, and  determinations of situational and psychological factors on the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs in the Yogyakarta Special Territory. This was a correlational study which was ex post facto in nature. It was conducted in public and private VHSs belonging to the technology and engineering cluster in the Mechanical Engineering Skill Program in the Yogyakarta Special Territory. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis show that 1) the scores of situational factors are in the high category, those of psychological factors are in the high category, and that of the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs is in the high category, and 2) there are effects of situational and psychological factors on the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs in Yogyakarta.Keywords: determinant factors, Mechanical Engineering Skill Program

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh pengetahuan kewirausahaan, pengalaman praktik kerja industri, dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di Kabupaten Gunungkidul, yang berjumlah 221 siswa. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 135 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut: 1) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kewirausahaan dengan kesiapan berwirausaha (rx1y = 0,53; p < 0,05); 2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman praktik kerja industri dengan kesiapan berwirausaha (rx2y = 0,77; p < 0,05); 3) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara lingkungan keluarga dengan kesiapan berwirausaha (rx3y = 0,37); 4) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kewirausahaan, pengalaman praktik kerja industri, dan lingkungan keluarga dengan kesiapan berwirausaha (rx1,rx2rx3y = 0,56). Dari hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan kewirausahaan, pengalaman paktik kerja industri, dan lingkungan keluarga secara bersama-sama mampu memberikan pengaruh sebesar 56% terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha. ENTREPRENEURSHIP READINESS OF STUDENTS VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MAJORING IN NETWORK AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING SKILLS PROGRAM IN GUNUNGKIDUL REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to reveal the effects of entrepreneurship knowledge, industrial job practicum experience, and family environment on the entrepreneurial readiness students. This was an ex post facto study. The research population comprised students of Computer an Network Engineering Expertise Competence in VHSs in Gunungkidul Regency with a total of 221 students. The research sample, consisting of 135 respondents. Base on the research results show. 1) There is a positive and significant effect of the entrepreneurship knowledge on the entrepreneurial readiness (rx1y = 0.53; p < 0.05). 2) There is positive and significant effect of th industrial job practicum experience on the entrepreneurial readiness (rx2y = 0.77; p < 0.05). 3) There is positive and significant effect of the family environment on the entrepreneurial readiness (rx3y = 0.37; p < 0.03). 4) There are positive and significant effect of the entrepreneurship knowledge, industrial job practicum experience, and family environment on the entrepreneurial readiness ( rx1,rx2,rx3y = 0.56). Base on the result entrepreneurship knowledge, industrial job practicum experience, and family environmentas an aggregate have effects of 56% on the entrepreneurial readiness.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of the family environment, the previous school environment, the social environment, and the students' attitude on the choice of the mechanical engineering expertise program in Vocational High Schools (VHSs) by the graduates of Junior High Schools. This was a correlational study which was ex post facto in nature. The study population totaled 1095 students. The sample, consisting of 300 students, was selected using the proportional random sampling technique by means of the Krejcie and Morgan formula. The data were collected through inventories, observation sheets, and documents. The content validity was assessed through expert judgment. The construct validity was assessed using the factor analysis and the reliability using the Cronbach's Alpha formula. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that, there were significant effects of the family environment, the previous school environment, the social environment, and attitude in the choice of mechanical engineering expertise program in VHSs by the graduates of Junior High Schools

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of students' internal factors (information literacy, self-understanding, and attitude) on their decision to enroll in a vocational high school mechanical engineering program. It is ex-post facto correlation research using a sample of 300 out of 1,086 students. The sample was established using the proportional random sampling technique using the Krejcie and Morgan formula. The data were collected using questionnaires, observation sheets, and documents. The findings reveal that (1) there is a significant and positive correlation between the internal factors and the student's decision to enroll in the mechanical engineering program of vocational high school (VHS); (2) all internal factors have a significant effect on both directly and indirectly on the student's preference for mechanical engineering program of VHS.

Abstract

Three aspects of student competency consisting of knowledge (cognitive), skills (psychomotor), and attitude (affective). This study aims to compare the achievement of basic machining competencies in block system learning and traditional learning. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The method was a quasi-experimental method with posttest only control group design, with the block system treatment in the experimental group and the traditional or regular learning in the control group. The experimental group consisted of 75 students from the Applied Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering Study Program (Diploma 4), and the control group consisted of 66 students from the Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program as the control group. Research data was obtained from the post-test scores for the Machining Theory course and the final scores for Basic Machining Practices. Descriptive statistics show that students' competency achievements in the knowledge aspect in block learning are less good than in traditional learning. However, student competency achievements in the skills and attitude aspects in the block learning system are better than in traditional learning. Although further statistical tests are needed to measure the differences and significance between the two learning modes, these results have provided an illustration of the weaknesses of block learning in theoretical and conceptual learning. Therefore, educators need to apply innovative learning strategies to overcome these weaknesses.

Abstract

Teknologi  manufakturing   yang  ada dewasa  ini teJah berkernbang  demikian  pesatnya.  Hal ini dapat  dilihat  dengan  adanya bentuk  integrasi  antara  tahapan  desain  (CAD)  dengan  perencanaan   produk  dan proses  dengan  menggunakan    mesin-mesin perkakas  CNC. Hal ini berarti  kemampuan   dalam  sistem produksi  permesinan  modern  tersebut  mutlak  diperlukan   oleh para dosen  khususnya   untuk  dosen  pada  Jurusan  Teknik  Mesin.Tujuan dari pelatihan CNC dan CAD-CAM  ini adalah untuk menjembatani  dan mempersempit  kesenjangan  ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi  khususnya  antara Perguruan  Tinggi  Swasta Jurusan  Teknik Mesin dengan  pihak industri  permesinan   khususnya yang berkaitan  sistem produksi  permesinan  modern  saat ini. Pelatihan  CNC dan CAD-CAM  bagi dosen-dosen   Jurusan  Teknik Mesin  pada  Perguruan   Tinggi  Swasta  di DIY dan Jawa Tengah  dilaksanakan   di laboratorium   CNC  dan CAD-CAM   ]urusan Pendidikan  Teknik Mesin FPTK IKIP Yogyakarta.  Mengingat  adanya keterbatasan  fasilitas dan dana, maka dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan  ini untuk setiap perguruan  tinggi swasta dibatasi  1 orang peserta.  Adapun jumlah  peserta  dalam pelatihan  ini adalah delapan  orang  dosen.  Pelatihan   dilaksanakan   dalam  dua bentuk  kegiatan,  yaitu  kegiatan  tatap muka  yang  dilaksanakan   dari tanggal23  September sampai 4 Oktober 1996 darijam  08.00 s.d. 16.00 WIB, dan kegiatan konsultasi (terstruktur) yang dilaksanakan dari  5 Oktober  sampai  dengan  4 Desember   1996, Adapun  materi  penataran   dapat  dikelompokkan   menjadi  dua, yaitu  CAD­ CAM dan pengoperasian   mesin  frais dan bubut  CNC.Hasil kegiatan  pelatihan   CNC dan CAD-CAM  bagi dosen  Jurusan  Teknik  Mesin  pada  Perguruan   Tinggi  Swasta  di DIY dan Jawa  Tengah  cukup  memuaskan.   Hal ini dapat  dilihat  dari:  (1) tingginya  motivasi  para  peserta  untuk  dapat  menguasai materi  pelatihan,  (2) sebagian  besar peserta  peJatihan  telah  dapat menguasai  dasar-dasar   CNC  dan CAD-CAM   sebagaimanatelah ditargetkan   dalam pelatihan,   dan (3) adanya  keinginan  para peserta  pelatihan  untuk  mendapatkan   pelatihan   lanjutan.
