Through a qualitative approach with literature study, this research examines the role of character education in forming generations with integrity and anti-corruption character. The results show that character education integrated into formal and non-formal educational curricula can be a strong foundation in preventing corrupt behavior from an early age. Strategies that can be applied include integrating anti-corruption values into the curriculum, strengthening the role of higher education, forming the character of generation Z, and implementing moral education as a preventive strategy. This research concludes that character education is a long-term investment capable of creating a clean and transparent culture in national and state life.

Abstract

Currently, there are still heated discussions regarding the low level of sharia financial literacy and inclusion, which causes a lack of competitiveness. At the same time, Indonesia is entering an era of demographic bonus, which can be seen from the large number of millennial generations and a Muslim population of 237.56 million people (86.7% of the total population). This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods to collect data from a sample of the millennial generation in Indonesia. The research instrument is a questionnaire designed to measure the level of Islamic financial literacy and use of Islamic financial products and services. Data analysis was carried out using the SmartPLS tool to test the relationship between Islamic financial literacy and Islamic financial inclusion. The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested before data collection to ensure the accuracy of the research results. The research results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between Islamic financial literacy and Islamic financial inclusion. Millennials with a high level of Islamic financial literacy tend to be more active in using sharia financial products and services. This research has important implications for stakeholders, including governments, financial institutions, and educational organizations, to strengthen Islamic financial literacy programs to encourage wider participation in the Islamic financial system.

Abstract

Islamic banking holds a strategic role in promoting social and environmental sustainability through the implementation of Islamic economic principles. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the Maqashid Sharia Index in Islamic banks in Indonesia and to examine its implications on multidimensional sustainability. The independent variables in this study are the Zakat Performance Ratio (ZPR) and Qardhul Hasan (QH) financing, with control variables consisting of Return on Assets (ROA) and Non-Performing Financing (NPF). The study employs panel data from Islamic banks in Indonesia over the period 2019–2023, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data are analyzed using panel regression with the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The findings indicate that ZPR, QH, ROA, and NPF have a positive and significant partial effect on the Maqashid Sharia Index. These results suggest that simultaneously optimizing social functions and financial performance is crucial for enhancing the contribution of Islamic banks to achieving sustainable Sharia objectives. This approach offers a fresh perspective on evaluating Islamic banking performance, not only in terms of profitability but also in how effectively institutions contribute to the comprehensive realization of Maqashid al-Sharia.
