Abstract

Phenol is a type of hazardous waste that can irritate skin, eyes, and mucous membranes in humans. It has been discovered that the phenol content in wastewater generally ranges from 1-6800 ppm. Phenol removal applications such as adsorption separation are highly recommended, one of which is the application of activated carbon. Activated carbon can be produced from natural biomass which has a high content of lignin, carbon, and hemicellulose. One of the most developed biomass is OPS (Palm Oil Kernel Shell). OPS’ texture is a hard textured endocarp and dark gray. To increase waste degradation, the application of magnetite (Fe3O4) was found to be an effective modification of the adsorbent. In the experimental results, variations in adsorbent dosage, particle size, and contact time were carried out. At various adsorbent doses, the addition of 1g/ml was more effective in producing up to 98.5% removal. Meanwhile, the size of 0.05 mm produces highest degradation when compared to 0.22 mm and 0.55 mm. The optimum contact time reveals that it occurs in the range of 50-60 minutes. The FTIR results revealed that the most abundant O-H, C=C and N-H content was found to be adsorbed at each particle size.

Abstract

Abstract.Problem Based Instruction is kind of learning model which introducing students to a real and meaningful problems. The phases of PBI are (1) orientating the students to a problem, (2) organizing the students to learn, (3) guiding the individual or group research, (4) developing and presenting the result, (5) analyzing and evaluating problem solving process. This research aims to develop the set of learning, such as syllabus, lesson plan, student book, student worksheet, and evaluation test by using Thiagarajan Model which consist of four steps such as define, design,develop, and disseminate. But this research just use the three of them, without disseminate step. SMP Negeri 3 Jember is elected as the research place. The coefficient validities of syllabus, lesson plan, student book, student worksheet, and evaluation test respectively are 0,975; 0,982; 0,984; 0,980; and 0,992. Since all of those coefficient more than 0,6, so we can conclude that the set of learning is valid and proper to be used. The reliability coefficient of evaluation test is 0,612717. Besides, the each item validity of evaluation test also showed a high number. There are five item problems where the coefficient validities of each number are 0,819533; 0,98036; 0,958226; 0,894288; and 0,960059. Abstract

Research aims: The literature on Environmental Accounting (EA) in the public sector is scarce, unlike in the private sector. Hence, this study aims to ascertain the trajectory of EA research in the public sector and extract insights from prior research on EA in the public sector.Design/Methodology/Approach: The research process was conducted in several stages following Anggraini et al. (2022) and Poje et al. (2022) with several modifications. The keywords were used to discover the articles relating to the topic, namely: “Environmental Reporting,” “Environmental Management,” or “Environmental Accounting,” “Green Accounting,” and “Public Sector”. The study employed an extended period, namely papers published in 2010-2023 in the database Scopus.com. Based on the specified criteria, the final paper that could be analyzed was 69 out of 112 articles.Research findings: Using VOS-viewer, 15 items of keyword themes were discovered. Then, the 15 items were classified into three clusters: Green Accounting, Environmental Regulation, and Sustainable Development Goals in the Public Sector. Theoretical contribution/Originality: The authors are unaware of any existing literature review research on EA, specifically in the public sector, even though it arises from environmental management accounting in the public sector. This study also demonstrates the inferences that can be derived.

Abstract

This study aims to: determine the planning of student life regulations (perdopsis) in the formation of mental leadership for the formation of the National Police NCO at SPN Polda West Java, find out the implementation of student life regulations (perdopsis) in the formation of mental leadership in education for the formation of the National Police NCO at SPN Polda West Java. , regulation of student life (perdupsis) in the formation of mental leadership in education for the formation of the National Police NCO at the SPN Polda West Java. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique used to collect data is using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Checking data using triangulation and member check. The result of this research is that the mental formation of student leadership provides a way for the NCO students to be able to build the foundation of leadership character in the field, the experience gained is in the form of additional characters in building other characters in the form of characters to be religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined in time, able to to learn independently, have a fairly high curiosity, be able to communicate and tolerate well and be able to take responsibility for what is obtained and carried out in the field.

Abstract

Efforts to reconstruct the cultivation of character values, one of which is the character of nationalism through the development of the thematic module of children's literature in poetry learning, are due to the emergence of the phenomenon of the disappearance of national identity with the loss of character values in social life in society. This study uses a qualitative method with a Design and Development (DD) model, which refers to the PPE model modified by Richey and Klein. The process of developing this module uses planning, production, and evaluation steps through a one-time validation and improvement process to improve the quality of the final design. The results of the module development in rhyme learning based on the assessment of experts and validation show that it is feasible to use with an average overall score of 96.14% in the "Very Good" category. It can be concluded that this research is expected to be able to become a constructive reference in rhyme learning by inculcating meaningful nationalism character values through the developed modules.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika seringkali tidak efisien dan sulit dipahami peserta didik akibat dari ketidaktepatan guru dalam memilih pendekatan dan strategi pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak guru yang belum bisa menyesuaikan materi pembelajaran dengan karakteristik peserta didik dalam pemilihan pendekatan pembelajaran sehingga fisika terus terkesan sulit bagi peserta didik. Departemen Pendidikan Fisika UPI melaksanakan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk kegiatan Workshop. Kegiatan Workshop yang bertema Physics is Fun ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi para guru sebagai bentuk pengembangan diri agar dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan lebih baik dan menyenangkan karena pembelajarannya dikemas dengan menggunakan games, eksperimen, dan sebagainya. Empat tahap yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Workshop di antaranya perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 33 guru yang mengikuti kegiatan memberikan respon positif dan memberikan penilaian 4,92 dari skala 5 sebagai bentuk kepuasan terhadap kegiatan. Workshop dengan tema Physics is Fun ini dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri guru dalam menyampaikan materi fisika agar bisa dipahami secara bermakna oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract Research Aims: This study aims to examine the effect of capital expenditure and local government size on financial reporting quality, with local government status as a moderating variable in Indonesian local governments. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study was conducted on municipal and district governments in Indonesia, covering 379 districts and 87 municipalities, with a total sample of 466 local governments. Data collection was carried out through documentation, with data sourced from audited financial reports of local governments by the Supreme Audit Board (Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Daerah). Hypotheses were tested using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the Eviews 12 software. Research Findings: The results of this study indicate that the variables of capital expenditure and local government size have a significant positive effect on the financial reporting quality of local governments in Indonesia. Furthermore, the local government status variable can moderate the effect of capital expenditure on financial reporting quality, but it cannot moderate the effect of local government size on financial reporting quality in Indonesian local governments. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study adds local government status as a moderating variable for the relationship between capital expenditure, local government size, and financial reporting quality.

Abstract

Self efficacy merupakan suatu keyakinan yang dimiliki setiap individu terhadap kemampuan dirinya dalam menyelesaikan tugas atau mencapai tujuan tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memotret self efficacy peserta didik kelas XII SMA dalam pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik survei. Penelitian ini menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen non tes untuk mengukur dimensi pada self efficacy yaitu magnitude, generality, dan strength. Sebanyak 125 peserta didik di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Cianjur terlibat dalam proses pengambilan data ini. Berdasarkan hasil survei, secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa self efficacy peserta didik pada pembelajaran fisika adalah sebesar 70,4% dalam kategori sedang, 15,2% dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan sisanya dalam kategori rendah. Dari ketiga dimensi pada self efficacy, tingkatan dimensi paling rendah dicapai pada dimensi strength, yaitu sebesar 34,4%. Dengan demikian, dari data ini penelitian selanjutnya akan dititikberatkan pada peningkatan self efficacy, salah satunya pada dimensi stregth agar peserta didik  lebih percaya diri dalam menyelesaikan berbagai tantangan dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya literasi bahasa sebagai fondasi pendidikan dasar, serta tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengajar di kelas yang heterogen. Pelatihan pengembangan media literasi bahasa berdiferensiasi bagi guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Sukabumi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa yang beragam. Melalui berbagai kegiatan praktis, seperti pengembangan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi, diharapkan guru mampu mengakomodasi perbedaan kemampuan, minat, dan gaya belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar di kabupaten Sukabumi mampu mengembangkan media literasi bahasa berdiferensiasi dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitianini bertujuan untuk menganalisispengaruh struktur kepemilikan danmekanisme corporate governanceterhadaptingkat kepatuhan mandatory disclosurekonvergensi IFRS. Proses identifikasi item tingkat kepatuhan mandatory disclosurekonvergensi IFRS menggunakan item checklistyang dikeluarkan oleh BAPEPAM LK No. VIII.G.7 tahun 2012. Struktur kepemilikan yang digunakan antara lain kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan publik, dan kepemilikan asing. Sedangkan mekanisme corporate governanceyang digunakan antara lainjumlah rapat dewan komisaris, keberadaan komisaris wanita, proporsi komisaris independen, dan jumlah anggota komite audit.Sampel penelitianini adalah perusahaan manufakturyang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2012-2015. Alat analisis untuk menguji hipotesis yaitu analisis regresi berganda dan sederhana dengan menggunakan SPSS 23.0.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwakepemilikan publik dan keberadaan komisaris wanita berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap tingkat kepatuhan mandatory disclosurekonvergensiIFRS. Sedangkan kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan asing, jumlah rapat dewan komisaris, proporsi komisaris independen, dan jumlah anggota komite audit tidak berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadaptingkat kepatuhan mandatory disclosurekonvergensi IFRS.
