Abstract

Abstract: Science learning in Islamic school is too less that orientation to Muslim scientist discoveries. Mainly, the theory that teaching to the student is adapted by the Westrn scientist discoveries. The study aim to rebuild treasure of the science in Muslim community throught learning orientation by the Muslim scientist discoveries, so that student would be more familiar with Muslim scientist and literating to work and glory of the Islam as before. The mehtod used in this project is the qualitative methode in the Islamic scientifict tradition approach and case study in the learning science books at the Islamic school. The result of research conduction show that there are similarity of principle by Physics modern scientist and Thabit ibn Qurra about the simple machine. Case study conduction show that only 13,51% textbooks are used at the Islamic School that giving information about Muslim scientist and their work by 75,67% textbooks that giving information about scientist. The solution offered to solve the problem is to make a textbook or handbook with largely contans the knowledge of the Muslim scientist. Abstract

Contextual physics learning with natural phenomena in the environment will be more meaningful for learners. One of the learning contexts that can be raised is the phenomenon of soil erosion in the river Batang Sinamar, West Sumatra. This study aims to describe the profile of physics literacy ability of learners about the erosion of river wall of Batang Sinamar in District of Lima Puluh City of West Sumatera Province. The method used is pre-experimental with one shoot test design. Data collection is done by disseminating instrument literacy consisting of four questions about the process, concept, context and best attitude of learners in response to the phenomenon. The results showed that there were significant differences in literacy ability of physics concepts between students attending school near the erosion site and students who went to school away from the erosion site. The average overall grade of the learners at the closest school is 2.66 and the furthest school is 2.14. The results of this study can be used as the initial reference in the preparation of enrichment materials about the physical matter related to the phenomenon of erosion of the Sinamar rod wall.

Abstract

Learning science is considered to be difficult and complicated for most students since it requires high reasoning and imagination. This study aims to increase the motivation of students in Primary School to learn science using water rockets interspersed with game. The results of the research show that there is an increase in learning motivation of learners in Lesson Subject. The design of training and games connected with PAKEM shows a positive and intensive response for students. The results showed that more than 90% of the learners provide a positive response to learning.  In addition, students’ motivation and learning activities were improved during the learning process.

Abstract

Doppler effect is physical phenomena which the emitted frequency is a source of change at a time when accepted by the detector due to relative movement of the detector towards the source of the wave or vice versa. In this research, conducted an activity measurement against Doppler effect symptoms by utilizing sensors found in smartphones. In this experiment, all mechanical instrument used is a smartphone with the help of software frequency sound generator, physics toolbox, the camera as an instrument of data collectors and software Tracker as motion analyzer. Based on the results of the experiment retrieved the value of the error and standard deviation of each of the observed symptoms. Symptoms affect Doppler upon source moving closer and away when the silent observer error value of 0.04% and% with a standard deviation of 0.1185 0.018 and 1.005. Experiment effect Doppler upon the source and observer approaching stationary gives error value of 8.60% and standard deviation 13.501 and to experiment the effect upon the source and Doppler observers moving each other approaching the error value of 4.31% and standard deviation of 0.087. Overall this experiment generates error value 3.267% and standard deviation of 3.665. So it could be inferred that the experiments conducted classified accurately and precision in effect phenomenon Doppler represents. Based on the results of this experiment the researcher recommends to carry out practical effects with the help of sensors Doppler smartphone.

Abstract

Abstract

Free fall motion in air medium is only influenced by gravitation acceleration. However, there are several variables that caused the observations to be different with the concept. Variables, such as air drag and terminal velocity, are often teachers not presented in detail, causing misconceptions. This study aims to develop a simple experiment on free fall motion by identifying air drag and terminal velocity. The data in this study is the video of free fall motion of paper and scraper analyzed using Tracker video analyze. From the video analyzed, information is obtained in the form of time (t), track (l, θ), and velocity (v) of the object. This study shows that the air drag force increase unto the terminal velocity. The calculation of the drag coefficient giving the number of the paper 2,16 and the scraper 2,10. According to data analyzed, the air drag force is affected by the mass (m), area (A), and the air drag force (FD) with the linear correlation until it reaches the terminal velocity. The result of this study may use as references of free fall motion experiment with other objects and analyze.

Abstract

Keberhasilan proses pembelajaran salah satunya dapat dianalisis berdasarkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Pada pelajaran matematika, kemampuan peserta didik dilihat pada kemampuan untuk menjawab soal yang terindeks pada hasil belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran berupa kartu positif-negatif. Sampel yang digunakan berasal dari kelas V yang berjumlah 24 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran berupa kartu positif-negatif efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan aspek-aspek kemampuan berpikir yang ditunjang oleh penggunaan media kartu positif-negatif

Abstract

Dalam mata pelajaran Fisika terdapat banyak miskonsepsi salah satunya materi fluida statis. Materi ini umumnya disampaikan oleh guru dengan model pembelajaran DI (Direct Intruction). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar fisika dengan melihat respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran materi massa jenis fluida yang menggunakan media praktikum alat Roberval balance  untuk mengetahui massa jenis suatu fluida. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTs Miftahul Falah dengan subyek penelitian yaitu 35 siswa kelas VII. Data  setelah pembelajaran dan praktikum diperoleh dengan metode kuesioner yang dianalisis menggunakan skala Likert dan skala Guttman dan post test yang dianalisis menggunakan  taraf kesukaran dan daya beda.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktikum ini memberi manfaat dan membuka wawasan siswa mengenai konsep massa jenis. Selain itu dari hasil post test  terdapat 2 butir soal yang termasuk kategori mudah (butir soal no.1 dan no.3), 2 kategori sukar (butir soal no.2 dan no.5) dan butir soal no.4 masuk kategori sedang. Sedangkan daya beda paling tinggi terdapat pada butir soal no. empat. Dengan melihat kemampuan kelompok atas hampir semuanya mampu menjawab soal no. empat dibandingkan kelompok bawah sehingga dapat dikatakan soal no. empat ini merupakan soal yang baik dibanding soal lainnya.

Abstract

This research uses experimental method that combine the mechanical instruments and microphone smartphone sensor as measurement tool. The mechanical instruments used are a smartphone with the help of frequency sound generator software, Physics Toolbox, the camera as an instrument of data collectors, and Tracker as a motion analyzer software. Based on the results of the experiments, the author retrieved the value of the error and the standard deviation of each of the observed symptoms. The symptoms of Doppler effect upon source moving closer and moving away when the silent observer shows the error value of 0.04 % and 0.1185 % respectively with a standard deviation of 0.018 and 1.005. In addition, the experiment on Doppler effect as the source is staying still and as the observer approaching the source provides error value of 8.60 % and standard deviation of 13.501. As for the experiment on Doppler effect as the source and the observers are approaching each other displays the error value of 4.31 % and the standard deviation of 0.087. Overall, this experiment generates error value of 3.267 % and standard deviation of 3.665, inferring that the experiments conducted are accurate and precise in representing the Doppler effect phenomenon. Based on the results of this experiments, the researcher recommends to carry out practicum on Doppler effects with the help of smartphone sensors.

Abstract

Abstrak Labratorium sekolah merupakan salah satu tempat belajar sains bagi peserta didik. Keterbatasan alat di laboratorium sekolah akan menghalangi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan alat praktikum fisika Roberval balance dengan memanfaatkan limbah kayu dari industri mebel. Proses pembuatan alat mencakup perancangan, pembuatan, perakitan, uji coba dan pengkalibrasian alat. Tahap perancangan dan pembuatan dilakukan di laboratorium pendidikan fisika. Tahap pengujian alat dilakukan dua tahap yaitu secara kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di laboratorium pendidikan fisika UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung dan pengujian secara kuantitatif di sekolah. Hasil uji coba dan kalibrasi alat diperoleh data mengenai tingkat akurasi dan presisi alat. Uji coba dan pengkalibrasian dilakukan dengan membandingkan massa jenis cairan x hasil pengukuran dengan data literasi. Cairan yang digunakan pada percobaan ini yaitu minyak tanah, minyak goreng, glukosa 30%, spirtus dan larutan gula jenuh . Dari uji kalibrasi diperoleh nilai eror terbesar pengukuran adalah 8,98% dan nilai eror terkecil mencapai 3% dengan rata-rata eror pada uji kualitatif sebesar 5,845% dan pada uji kuantitatif sebesar 7,312%. Tingkat kepresisian alat ditunjukan dengan nilai standar deviasi yang cukup kecil yaitu 0,0248. Secara umum penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa peralatan praktikum Roberval balace dapat dibangun dari barang bekas/limbah kayu. Kata kunci: Limbah kayu; media praktikum fisika; Roberval balance Abstract The confine of experiment tools at the schools may be obstacle the learning proses. limited equipment in the school labs will be barring for optimal learning implementation process. The aim of this research is to expand the experiment tools of physics Roberval balance using wood waste by furniture industrion. The methods including design, manufacture, assembly, testing and calibration tools. Design and manufacture process is doing at physics laboratory of State Islamic Universisty Sunan Gunung Djati and quantitative testing is doing at the schools. The next process are testing and calibration that do base on qualitative and quantitave testing. Qualitative test is doing at physic laboratory that compare the density of fluid by measurement with density in literation. Testing process is permormed several liquids are kerosene, cooking oil, 30% of glucose, spirt and sugar liquid. From the calibration test data showed that maximum value of the mearusement error is 8,98% and the smallest error is 3% with average error in qualitative testing 5,845% and 7,312% in quantitative testing. The precision tool indicated by vtlue of standar deviation is small enough 0,0248. Generally, this research indicating experiment tools Roberval balance can be manufacture by waste materials of the wood. Keywords: wood wastes; physics experiment tool; Roberval balance
