Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the stages of the inquiry approach-based iSpring multimedia development procedure and to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of inquiry-based iSpring multimedia. This research uses development research (R&D) procedures with the ADDIE development model. The data collection instruments used were documentation, interviews, questionnaires, and assessment of student learning outcomes. This research shows the following results: 1) the process of developing multimedia iSpring based on an inquiry approach in science class VIII is by the stages of the ADDIE model; 2) the validity level of iSpring multimedia products based on an inquiry approach in science subjects class VIII from material experts gets a percentage of 95.38% with very valid criteria, from media experts gets a percentage of 94.29% with very valid criteria, and from experts, the language gets a percentage of 92.5% with very valid criteria; 3) the practicality level of iSpring multimedia products based on an inquiry approach in science subjects class VIII from students is 92.72% with very practical criteria and from teachers is 94% with very practical criteria; and 4) the level of effectiveness of iSpring multimedia products based on inquiry approaches in class VIII science subjects shows the criteria of effectiveness. Based on student learning outcomes, t-count (37.399) > t-table (2.045), means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and Post-test scores. The results of the research show that iSpring multimedia based on an inquiry approach in class VIII science subjects at Junior High School (JHS) 1 Rambatan, Tanah Datar is appropriate to be used as a learning medium for class VIII students of JHS.

Abstract

The research aims to improve learning outcomes of Management Psychology Courses use E-book teaching material reading literacy based for the student of the Education Administration Study Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia. The research used 2 x 2 factorial design experimental methods with ANOVA. The research obtained the highest score 96.6 for experimental class, and 93.3 for control class. The students learning outcomes in the experimental class have an average 81.93 and average 71.75 for control class. The result of t-test for both of class, tcount was 5.11 and ttable was 1.66. It implied there was a significant difference about students learning outcomes. The learning outcomes of student that used E-book teaching material was higher than students that used printed teaching materials. The students who have high reading literacy and used E-book teaching material, the student learning outcomes was higher than the student who have high reading literacy but used printed materials. And the students who have low reading literacy and used E-book teaching material, the learning outcomes was higher than the students who have low reading literacy but used printed teaching material.

Abstract

The background of this study is the results of observations on science learning at MTsN 3 Tanjung Jabung Barat, which show that the science learning process has not been able to create effective learning activities to obtain essential competencies, and the learning resources used are not enough to motivate students and support the content in explaining science concepts. The study aims to develop branching programmed learning media, which can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of class VIII MTs students for science subjects on the topic of vibrations, waves and sound. This type of research is development research that refers to the ADDIE model. The results show that the branching programmed learning media in science subjects has met the valid, practical, and effective criteria in increasing the experimental group's average value of learning outcomes by 85.37. In contrast, the control group obtained a mean score of 73.89. The results of hypothesis testing at a significant level of É‘ 0.05 show t count 5,484 > t table 2,007 which means there are significant differences in the average value of learning outcomes between the control and experimental group. Based on the results of research, the branching programmed learning media meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria to be used as a learning resource for science subjects.

Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia in learning is expected to stimulate students' interest and encourage greater involvement in the learning process, given that some students often find the material difficult and abstract. This research aims to develop interactive multimedia in subjects in class X of SMK Negeri 6 Padang, which is focused on Computing Systems material. This research involves the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation to produce valid, practical, and effective learning media. The validation results showed that the interactive multimedia developed had a very high level of validity, with scores reaching 100% from media, material, and language experts. The practicality test on teachers and students also showed very positive results, with an average score of 95%, which indicates that this medium is very practical to use in learning. The effectiveness of the media was measured through the pretest and posttest, with results showing an increase in student understanding, with an average N-gain score of 67.58%, which was categorized as "moderate". In conclusion, the interactive multimedia developed can be used as a valid, practical, and effective learning medium to improve students' understanding of subjects at vocational schools. This research makes an important contribution to the development of technology-based learning media at the secondary education level.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low student motivation and learning outcomes in the Culinary Basics course at SMKN 6 Padang. Conventional learning models such as lectures and PowerPoint presentations are considered incapable of generating student enthusiasm and engagement in practice-based learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model combined with video media in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in this subject. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection used two main instruments: a learning outcome test to measure cognitive and psychomotor aspects, and a learning motivation questionnaire to measure students' affective factors. These instruments were tested for validity and reliability before use. Data were collected from two classes: an experimental class using PjBL with video media and a control class using the lecture method with PowerPoint. The results of data analysis showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. Students learning using the video-assisted PjBL model showed greater improvements in learning motivation and learning outcomes. The significance value obtained from the statistical test was below 0.05, indicating that the use of the video-based PjBL model was proven effective in improving the quality of culinary practical learning in vocational schools. Therefore, the implementation of video-assisted PjBL can be an innovative and engaging alternative learning strategy in vocational schools.
