Abstract

The critical discourse of Van Dijk consists of three components, including text, social cognition, and social context. It is utilized in analyzing the da’wah message in WardahMaulina's novel Kekasih Impian. The study objective was to describe the da’wah message through text analysis, social cognition, and social context. It applied to qualitative descriptive. The result revealed that the most found message of da'wah through text analysis is about faith and morals, while social cognition is related to boundary towards someone we have affection with, and in terms of social context, is correlated to piety is the key of present and afterlife happiness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the deconstruction of the meaning of the concept in the collection of poems Happy Performing Poetry Worship by Joko Pinurbo. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Research data collection techniques used library study techniques, while data analysis techniques were more dominantly carried out to look at the interweaving of results of interpretation and description qualitatively. The results of the study show that there are 12 concepts of meaning that experience deconstruction which gives birth to an independent meaning that disassembles the stability of the concept of meaning in a contradictory manner. Twelve deconstructions of the concept of meaning in the poetry collection is identified as deconstruction through paradox, irony, and contradiction of the concept of meaning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structural elements and the author's world view in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye. The data analysis technique uses the dialectical method which is a type of research in the sociology of literature through a genetic structuralism approach. The results of the study present an explanation of the structural elements of the novel Pulang by Tere Liye in the form of identifying the intrinsic elements (plot, characters, characterizations, setting, point of view, and themes) and the extrinsic elements of the novel (socio-economic background), the author's social life related to the novel ( background of personality, education, culture, and experience), and views of Tere Liye as the author of the novel Pulang (the reality of the shadow economy, the reality of domination and hegemony, moral and moral awareness, and the importance of education and family).

Abstract

Many people move away from applicable norms and laws due to society's inability to face the challenges of globalization, this is called Social Pathology. This research aims to describe forms of social pathology from the criminal aspect which includes violence and abuse, as well as social pathology in the form of prostitution and mental disorders in the novel Perempuan di Titik Nol by Nawal el-Saadawi. In this research, the data was analyzed using Wellek and Warren's literary sociology approach which focused on the second study, namely the sociology of the content of literary works. The research results show that the novel Perempuan di Titik Nol has forms of social pathology including: crime in the form of violence and abuse, prostitution, and mental disorders
