Abstract

The upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is possibly caused by the home environmental factors, individual factors and attitude factors. URTI is one major health problem occurring in, particularly children under 5 years old. The structured supportive education is an interactive process to encourage learning efforts to add new knowledge, attitudes, and skills through both practical strengthening and exceptional experiences. The purpose of this research is to figure out the effect of structured supportive education on knowledge and attitudes of mothers with children experiencing theupper respiratory tract infection (URTI). This research employed as qualitative method with a quasi-experimental design and pretest-posttest one group design approach. The research result indicated that structured supportive education affected knowledge and attitude with thep-valueof 0.046. It is expected that the result of this research is possibly used as one treatment intervention media to improve the knowledge and attitude of parents with children experiencing theupper respiratory tract infection (URTI). Besed on the results of research on Structured Supportive Education, it is significantly more influential in improving the knowledge and attitudes of  parents.

Abstract

Anak-anak termasuk kedalam kelompok usia yang sangat rentan terhadap penularan covid-19 dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Selain itu, dampak dari adanya covid-19 dirasakan juga oleh anak yang berkebutuhan khusus. Akibat dari adanya covid-19 terhadap anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus perlu disikapi secara serius mengingat anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki resiko tinggi untuk terpapar virus covid-19. Untuk menghindari terpaparnya covid-19 maka peran orang tua sangatlah penting dalam upaya pencegahan covid-19 dimana pencegahan covid-19 terdiri dari mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir, menggunakan masker, menjaga jarak, menjauhi kerumunan, dan mengurangi mobilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan peran orang tua yang mempunyai anak usia sekolah terhadap pencegahan Covid-19. Penelitian ini menrupakan penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode cross sectional. sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua siswa-siswi yang mempunyai anak usia 6-12 tahun dengan jumlah 76 orang tua dengan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebagian besar responden memiliki peran orang tua yang baik (51,3%). Pencegahan covid-19 pada anak berkebutuhan khusus sebagian besar dalam kategori baik (69,7%). Hasil analisis menunjukan terdapat hubungan peran orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus terhadap pencegahan covid-19.

Abstract

Background: Clean and healthy living behavior is a behavior to improve health in order to realize a quality life. Covid 19 is a dangerous disease caused by the Sars-Cov2 virus. One way that can be done to prevent Covid-19 is by implementing clean and healthy living behaviors in everyday life. Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between clean and healthy living behavior and prevention of COVID-19 in school-age children. Method: The research design is descriptive quantitative correlation with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was 61 respondents using purposive sampling method and chi square analysis. Results: The results showed a correlation between clean and healthy living behavior on the prevention of covid-19 in school-age children, with a value of -value = 0.009. Most of the respondents were women with 40 respondents (65.6%) with the age of the respondents being 11 years old. Conclusion: There is a correlation between clean and healthy living behavior and prevention of covid-19 in school-age children at SD Negeri Pahonjean 06 Majenang.

Abstract

Background: The problem of short children (stunting) is one of the nutritional problems that is the focus of the Indonesian Government. Stunting is a condition of malnutrition that is related to nutritional deficiencies. Various efforts have been made to prevent stunting, one of which is health education using e-booklets. This research focuses on mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding stunting prevention, because if health education is not provided, the stunting rate in Indonesia could increase. Method: This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pre-post-test without control group design. The research was conducted on 53 mothers who have toddlers aged under 2 years. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, the dependent variable was knowledge and attitude for the independent variable, the influence of ebooklets. Researchers used percentage and paired t-test analysis. Results: : The majority of respondents were aged 21-26 years, all of whom were female. At the education level, most of the respondents had elementary and junior high school education. The majority of the work of IRT respondents is 28 respondents. The average value of knowledge and attitudes after the intervention was good 29 has increased. while the average mother's attitude after the intervention was Good 25 increased. The p-value of the Paired T-test for knowledge is 0.001 and for attitude is 0.000. Conclusion: Ceting e-booklet media (preventing stunting) has an effect on efforts to increase mothers' knowledge and attitudes about stunting (0.000).

Abstract

Background: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (IDDM) is a chronic disease in children with an increasing incidence worldwide. The increase in the prevalence of DM sufferers in all ages in Central Java Province reached 152,075 cases. While there are 65 patients under 15 years old who are recorded to suffer from IDDM. Thus, there needs to be a preventive measure so that children understand more about the prevention and treatment of IDDM, one of which is by educating about type-1 diabetes mellitus through techniques that attract children, one of which is using animated videos. Objective: To determine the effect of animated video education on children's knowledge about IDDM at SD Negeri 1 Mujur Kroya. Method: This study uses the Pre-Experiment method with the design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used is total sampling with a total of 40 research samples. Results: Showing the majority of respondents' characteristics are female, there is a history of DM descent. Knowledge before the category intervention was lacked and after the good category intervention was carried out. The results of the bivariate test showed that the value (p value 0.0001< 0.005) had a significant effect with a value of 0.001 on providing animated video education on children's knowledge about IDDM at SD Negeri 1 Mujur which was statistically tested to increase the average knowledge of children about type-1 diabetes mellitus by 9,464 based on the DKQ-24 questionnaire. Conclusion: Animated video education has an effect in increasing students' knowledge about IDDM.
