This study aims to identify the need for German language teaching materials for class XII students at HKBP Pematangsiantar High School. The type of research used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. Needs analysis in this study uses the theory of Briendley, Hutchinson and Waters, and the theory of Nation and Macalister by dividing the needs analysis into objective needs and subjective needs. Objective needs include the identification and background of students, while subjective needs include needs, deficiencies, and desires. The results of the study indicate that the teaching materials that have been used so far are not enough, but the need to look at the needs of students in improving the four abilities that lead to 21st century learning. The teaching materials expected by students are teaching materials that have text, images, animation, audio, audiovisuals as well as independent German speaking exercises. Students also want teaching materials that are easy to carry and accessible at any time.

The purpose of this study was to describe the use of learning media in learning German in class X SMA Nommensen Pematangsiantar Campus. The data collection was carried out by the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data will be analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that (1) the use of German language learning media in class X SMA Nommensen Pematangsiantar Campus that had been implemented such as visual media ( PowerPoint, laptop ), silent projection media ( LCD projector), simple visual media (real objects in the classroom ). , whiteboards, picture cards, letter cards, textbooks), audio media ( speakers ). (2) The obstacles faced by teachers in the use of media are derived from media selection techniques and student characteristics. The teacher's solution to overcoming obstacles to the use of learning media is to adjust the learning media to the material and adjust the learning media used to the conditions of the participants educate.

In early 2020, the world was shocked by an outbreak of a new disease that started in Wuhan, Hubei Province, which then spread rapidly to more than 190 countries and territories. This outbreak was named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The spread of this disease has had a broad social and economic impact as well as educationDuring this time of COVID-19, it has had a major influence on human life, both in terms of thinking and even in people's lifestyles, which has made this very important, especially in health. A healthy lifestyle plays an important role in the Covid-19 Pandemic. For this reason, there is a need for socialization in providing an understanding of Healthy Lifestyles to be prioritized in the community so that this is also one way to reduce the spread of the epidemic which is preventive in nature. The method used is the method of socialization held in the village of Siantar Estate. As a result, the community increasingly understands the Healthy Lifestyle with Nutritious Food and maintains cleanliness.

Literasi menjadi salah satu pondasi utama yang perlu dijarkan di tingkatan sekolah dasar. Bila pondasi literasi sudah kuat sejak tingkat SD, maka selanjutnya peserta didik akan dapat dengan cepat mengikuti pembelajaran. Pemerintah saat ini juga sedang gencar juga meningkatkan budaya literasi dengan salah satu gebrakan yaitu Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Rendahnya budaya literasi dan nilai-nilai karakter dilingkunagn anak-anak, remaja saat ini perlu ditingatkan. Hal ini yang mendorong tim untuk melakukan PkM dengan judul PkM “ Penguatan Literasi Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter” Di SD Negeri. No. 128077 Kota Pematangsiantar. Seminar ini di ikuti 12 Guru di sekolah tersebut. Budaya literasi dapat juga ditingkatkan dengan pendidikan karakter. Budaya literasi dapat juga ditingkatkan dalam pendidikan karakter. Budaya literasi dan pendidikan karakater ibarat dua sisi matalogam yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan berliterasi dapat juga membentuk karakter peserta didik. 18 nilai-nilai karakter dapat meningkatkan penguatan literasi. Para guru harus mampu menyelaraskan antara literasi dengan nilai-nilai karakter.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis majas simile pada lirik lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge, mendeskripsikan ungkapan kebahagiaan pada lirik lagu dan Pesan Moral yang disampaikan pada lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber Penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge. Data penelitian ini adalah satuan bahasa yang di dalamnya mengandung majas simile, makna ungkapan kebahagiaan serta pesan moral dari lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik mendengar, simak dan mencatat. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari lirik lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge tersebut ditemukan tiga bagian lirik yang mengandung majas simile yaitu dengan ciri-ciri menggunakan kata penghubung, yaitu seperti, mengungkapkan makna definisi kebahagiaan pada lirik, Lirik lagu Glück dalam album vor uns die Sinnflut karya Berge mengandung Pesan Moral yang berkaitan dengan hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, sesama manusia dan pesan moral dengan lingkungan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kosakata Peserta Didik kelas XI TKJ SMK Swasta HKBP Pematang Siantar sebelum dan setelah menerapkan media pembelajaran Duolingo dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil pengetahuan kosakata Peserta Didik kelas XI TKJ SMK Swasta HKBP Pematang Siantar sebelum dan setelah menerapkan media pembelajaran Duolingo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ekperimen dengan jenis quasi eksperimental menggunakan desain The One-Grup Pretest-Posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Peserta Didik kelas XI TKJ SMK Swasta HKBP Pematang Siantar dengan sampel yang berjumlah 39 Peserta Didik. Penarikan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Cluster Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik tes yang diperoleh dari soal pilihan berganda. Penggunaan Duolingo dalam penelitian ini melalui tahap pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan hasil hipotesis yang diuji dalam penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa adanya peningkatan kosakata Peserta Didik sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya media pembelajaran Duolingo. Hasil penilaian tes Peserta Didik pada pretest atau sebelum diterapkannya media pembelajaran mencapai rata-rata 45,78 pada kategori kurang. Hasil penilaian tes Peserta Didik pada posttest atau setelah diterapkannya media pembelajaran Duolingo terjadi peningkatan mencapai 87,79 pada kategori baik, maka dari itu berdasarkan hasil prettest dan posttest terdapat perbedaan hasil peningkatan kosakata Peserta Didik kelas XI TKJ SMK Swasta HKBP Pematang Siantar sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan media pembelajaran Duolingo. Berdasarkan analisis data keterampilan menulis puisi Peserta Didik pada pretest dan posttest maka diperoleh thitung = 12,01 pada taraf signifikan 0,05 (tingkat kepercayaan 95 %) pada df= 38 diperoleh ttabel = 1,686. Maka thitung = 12,01 > ttabel = 1,686, sehingga dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada peningkatan kosakata Peserta Didik sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan media pembelajaran Duolingo.

This research aims to get the effect of using Think Talk Write Strategy on students’ writing descriptive text. This research is quantitative research that applies Quasi-Experimental design. The researcher took 10 students of Germany Study Program of Teacher Training Faculty of Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar as the participants of the research by using purposive sampling.The data was gained through essay test. The students’ writing was scored by using Brown’s Formula. To analyze the data, the researcher used IBMSPSS 20.0. From data analysis, mean of the writing score in experimental group is 81.58, meanwhile mean of the writing score in control group is 64.20. The result of analyzing the data shows the score of t-test is higher than t-table (5.12> 1.67). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of usingThink Talk Write teaching strategy to the students` ability in writing a descriptive text

This study aims: 1) To improve the writing skills of Semester 4 students of the German Language Study Program in learning writing skills by using picture series as media. 2) To find out the learning outcomes of picture series media for 4th semester German students. The population in this study were 4th semester German students at HKBP Nomensen Pematangsiantar University with a sample of 18 students. The data collection technique used in this study was through descriptive text techniques that the researcher had obtained. Based on the results of data analysis and the results of the hypotheses tested in this study, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' German writing skills before and after the application of picture series media. The results of the student test assessment on the pretest or before the application of serial picture media reached an average of 61.66 in the less category. The results of student test assessments at the posttest or after the application of serial picture media increased to 78.33 in the good category, therefore based on the results of the pretest and posttest there were differences in the results of writing skills for German Language Students Semester 4 at Nomensen University Pematangsiantar before and after applying the media series image. Based on the analysis of writing skills on the application of serial picture media in the Pretest and Posttest which states the level of sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 while this value is low compared to the significant value of ₁ which is 0.05 because it uses a significant level of 5% (0.000 <0.05) with once H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected, it means that there is a significant effect with the application of serial picture media on the writing skills of semester 4 students at HKBP Nommensen Pematang Siantar University.

A song is an artistic composition of tones or sounds in order, combination, and temporal relationships to produce musical compositions that have unity and continuity. In modern times like this, people only enjoy songs as entertainment. Songs are often sung or heard without knowing the meaning of the lyrics. The song "Wie schön du bist" by Sarah Connor is one of the German pop songs that has meaning in its lyrics. The purpose of this research is to find the denotation meaning, connotation meaning, and myth contained in the lyrics of the song "Wie schön du bist" by Sarah Connor. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, with Roland Barthes semiotic approach to find denotation meaning, connotation meaning, and myth contained in the lyrics of the song "Wie schön du bist" by Sarah Connor. The song "Wie schön du bist" has a meaning that refers to a mother's love for her child. A mother's love for her child cannot be compared to anything in this world. A mother's love can influence a child's growth. A child can also make a mother a place to share her heart.

This study aims to see the effectiveness of the memory card matching game on increasing German vocabulary (Wortschatz) of Class XI Students of SMA YP HKBP Pematang Siantar. This research used quantitative method with experimental approach and One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The population in this study were class XI students totaling 34 people. The sample used was 19 people, namely students of class XI IPA SMA YP HKBP Pematang Siantar. The conclusion of this study, namely the Matching Card learning media on increasing German vocabulary (Wortschatz) of XI science class students of SMA YP HKBP Pematang Siantar. This is evidenced by an increase in the average score of students at the time of the pretest of 48.68 below the KKM and at the time of the posttest to 87.00 above the KKM. Based on the results of data analysis and hypotheses tested, it is known that the Matching Card learning media is effective on students' writing skills. This is evidenced by the results of the normalized N-Gain test analysis with a score of 0.7705 or equivalent to 77%, where the score is in the effective category. Then based on the statistical hypothesis test with paired samples test, the significance value is 0.001 <0.05 in the sense that the calculated statistical results (t output number) < table statistics (t table), it is concluded that Ho is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, the Matching Card learning media has an effect in the effective category on the learning process.
