Abstract

This research aims to find out how to analyze students' mathematical understanding of gradient materials for linear function graphs for Class IX 7 UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive data analysis. The subjects in this research are all students in class IX 7 of SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar in the 2023/2024 academic year. The number of subjects in this research was 30 students. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical understanding test in the form of a description using 3 indicators, namely restating concepts that have been studied, presenting concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, applying concepts or problem-solving algorithms. These 3 indicators are used in 6 questions. Based on the data analysis carried out, the overall mathematical understanding ability of students is at a medium level, namely with a percentage of 47.8%. The indicators used are 1) restating mathematical concepts, 2) presenting mathematical representations, 3) applying concepts or problem-solving algorithms. Based on the previous explanation, it can be concluded that the mathematical understanding of students in class IX 7 UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Pematang Siantar as a whole is at a medium level.

Abstract

Operational planning within agricultural production systems plays a pivotal role in facilitating farmers' decision-making processes. This study introduces a novel mathematical model aimed at optimizing plant maintenance planning through the efficient allocation of labor, optimal utilization of machinery, and strategic scheduling. Utilizing mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP), the model integrates lean principles to minimize waste and improve operational efficiency. The primary contributions of this study include the development of a comprehensive maintenance planning model, the application of advanced mathematical techniques in agriculture, and the enhancement of resource allocation strategies. The results demonstrate significant improvements in maintenance task scheduling, reduced downtime, and enhanced productivity, ultimately contributing to sustainable farming practices and food security. This model serves as a strategic decision-support tool for farmers, enabling data-driven planning and resource utilization to achieve both short-term efficiency and long-term agricultural viability.

Abstract

One of the abilities that educators must pay attention to when learning mathematics is mathematical reasoning abilities. Various efforts have been made by teachers, researchers and educational practitioners to improve mathematical reasoning abilities, but in reality, reasoning abilities are still in the low category. The aim of this research is to develop a lecture module with a problem-based learning model with local cultural nuances to improve reasoning abilities. Learning packaged in local culture is one way to make it easier to understand mathematics.The method used in this research is the development method with the Thiagarajan 4-D development design The research results show that the module developed is valid, effective and practical and can improve mathematical reasoning abilities

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Creative Thinking Ability at UPTD SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar Academic Year 2023/2024 located at Jl. Sibolga No. 12, Karo, Kec. South Siantar, Pematangsiantar City, North Sumatra Province. The subjects in this study were students who could be a source of information regarding the problems to be studied, so that the research subjects in the study entitled Analysis of Students' Creative Thinking in Solving Pythagorean Theorem Problems were 30 students in grades IX-7. Based on the results and discussions that the researcher has presented, the researcher can draw the following conclusions: 1. In Fluency Thinking, students with high, medium and low Creative Thinking abilities can gather information to form ideas. Subjects with high, medium, and low Creative Thinking abilities gain knowledge from learning experiences in the classroom. 2. At the Flexible Thinking stage, students who have high, medium, and low Creative Thinking abilities look for formulas according to the known questions. The higher the level of student creativity, the more diverse the answer solutions that emerge. While students who have low Creative Thinking skills cannot come up with diverse answers. 3. At the Originality stage, students who have high and moderate Creative Thinking skills are productive in producing unique answers, while subjects with low Creative Thinking skills are not productive in providing answers. Students who have low Creative Thinking skills give random answers because they do not have other alternative ways. 4. At the elaboration skill stage, students who have high and moderate Creative Thinking skills are able to develop detailed ideas often with innovative solutions while subjects with low Creative Thinking skills tend to provide a limited idea development process, with ideas that are less in-depth and less detailed in developing solutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of cognitive levels of practice questions and competency test questions on the Pythagorean Theorem material in the Electronic School Book (BSE) for Mathematics for Junior High Schools/Islamic Junior High Schools Class VIII published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in 2022 based on the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The revised Bloom's Taxonomy used is in the cognitive process consisting of: C1-remembering, C2-understanding, C3-applying, for Low Order Thinking Skill (LOTS), C4-analyzing, C5-evaluating, and C6-creating for High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This type of research is descriptive research. The data sources taken in this study were practice questions and competency test questions. The practice questions analyzed amounted to 40 questions out of 20 questions, and the competency test questions analyzed amounted to 14 questions out of 10 questions. Based on the results of the analysis for practice questions, it contains 80% LOTS questions, namely C2 questions 30% and C3 questions 50%. HOTS questions 20%, namely question C4. Questions of cognitive levels C1, C5, and C6 were not found. For Competency Test questions, it contains 85.72% LOTS questions, namely question C2 50.00% and question C3 35.72%. HOTS questions 14.28%, question C4 7.14%, question C6 7.14%. Questions C1 and C5 were not found.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Think Talk Write (Ttw) Terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa Pada Materi Pola Bilangan Di Kelas Viii Smp Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar. Jenis metode eksperimen yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode Pre-Experimental Design. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One Shot Case Study. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar, yang beralamat di Jl. Medan km 4,5, Sumber Jaya, Kec. Siantar Martoba, Kota Pematangsiantar, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Pengaruh itu ditunjukkan melalui persamaan regresi Y = 27,174 + 0,826X. Pengaruh tersebut melalui uji-t, yaitu thitung > ttabel (11,878 > 2,048) atau p (sig.) < 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) maka H_0 ditolak dan H_(1 ) diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Talk Write terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi Pola Bilangan kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Sumbangan varians variabel X (model pembelajaran make a match) terhadap variabel Y (hasil belajar matematika) sebesar 83,4%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis hasil belajar siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar pada materi perpangkatan dengan adanya perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray. Pendekatan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Intrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuisioner (angket) dan tes hasil belajar yang akan dianalisis dengan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray sebesar 6,8%. terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Sehingga tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar pada materi perpangkatan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Autograph application-assisted Problem Solving learning model on the mathematical representation abilities of students in Grade VIII at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. This study uses a quantitative experimental research design. Quantitative research is objective in terms of data collection, quantitative data analysis, and testing using statistical methods. This study will be conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. The sampling technique used by the researcher to determine the sample in this study is cluster random sampling. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of the use of the problem-solving learning model on the mathematical representation abilities of students in class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. This effect is shown by the correlation value between variables (R) of 0.945 and the regression equation ?̂ = −4.357 + 0.473? with a value of ? = 0.473. Based on the t-test results, it was found that there was a significant effect and the coefficient of determination showed a positive effect of 89.3%.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SD pada materi bangun datar khusunya persegi dan persegi panjang. Kegiatan ini diadakan pada tanggal 10 November 2022 di di kelas VA SD RK No 4 Pematangsiantar yang beralamat di jalan Tambun Jaya Kel.Siopat Suhu Kec. Siantar Timur Kota Pematangsiantar Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan melalui 3 tahap, yakni: (1) Tahap Persiapan, dalam tahap ini kegiatan diawali dengan melakukan pengamatan di lapangan, wawancara terhadap guru dan kepala sekolah, mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran, dan membuat proposal PkM; (2) Tahap Pelaksanaan, dalam tahap ini kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah tim PkM melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar sesuai dengan perangkat pembelajaran yang telah disediakan oleh tim; dan (3) Tahap Akhir, dalam tahap ini, tim PkM melakukan evaluasi terhadap pembelajaran yang sudah terlaksana dengan baik, dan membuat laporan hasil PkM. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PkM ini diperoleh bahwa sebanyak 83% siswa berada pada kategori tinggi level pemahaman konsepnya, 10% siswa berada pada kategori sedang pemahaman konsepnya, dan 7% siswa berada pada kategori rendah kemampuan pemahaman konsepnya. Kegiatan ini juga mendapat respon yang positif, yakni 100% respon siswa senang terhadap pembelajaran, 93,33% tertarik dengan media pembelajaran dan 6, 66% siswa tidak tertarik dengan media pembelajaran.
